These salespeople represented their country very well. Out of all the people in your videos they seemed the most kind.
In Kenya, you gotta know how to sell. You start the skills way back as a customer knowing how to negotiate. But i really dont like people abusing those tricks of halfway prices and walking away. It is not supposed to work that way. You only supposed to persist on your price id you are sure it is around the place, say you ask other customers at home or word in the streets. Otherwise blubtly just halfing the price sll through can make you seem rude
and despising especially on hard margin products. They are not all the same, you can get cues of price best the more the more assertive thr seller is. And can tryst it ad most of them are more into clearing stock than hoarding for thr best deal. And the best trick is to keep a happy face no matter the outcome, it is just respectful. Also only walk away of you really at your limit of affordability, most pf these guyz sell on a margin at best, it just doesn't sit right with me to use cheap manipulation tricks just for it. Also especially if you get to be a frequenter around the market you can get bad rep and cause to be given even much worse deals in future..... Thats my 2 cents. 😊🤝🤝Come to Kenya its a beautiful country
@@warrenarnold I agree that colins method of haggling probably does not appear the right way to do this in Kenya. However he goes all over the world where the sellers act very differently and actively try to overcharge the tourists by a very large margin, which is probably why he was in the mindset of trying to buy the items for a fraction of the price. However these sellers seemed genuine.

Kenyans seem like SUCH chill people man. I honestly felt mad uncomfortable watching your Middle Eastern videos, East Asia is fun but they're super aggressive (in that playful way) but Kenya is def the most comfortable feeling place with the humblest sellers.

Kenya actually has a big manufacturing industry...most of those clothes are made in Kenya then sold abroad only to come back as 2nd hand

It's a bit sad seeing the vendors literally begging him to accept their prices, compared to Asia where they yell at you to take their prices.
Im sure with the pandemic things got a hell of alot worse for them aswell and still they seem to act kind. That could just be so they can get others to trade with them and be able to make it by

Also the negotiations back and forth, is part of the shopping experience, it is always thrilling to do it mehn and a very common plave in open air markets. When both give in a little, you really get the satisfaction of the deal both as a seller and buyer

I used to be in uk prison and we sorted all this stuff from collection bins on uk streets brought in to our prison we was payed 70 pence a day to sort in 25kg bags which was all sent to Africa for donations but it’s obvious there sold not given away FUN FACTS
everyone was pretty chill and not aggressive which I like. but also firm on their lowest price which is a good sign so you know you got good prices all around.
I usually dont comment alot on your vids but man these people are soo good and welcoming i dont know their prices are reasonable they dont scam you they just wanna earn an honest living
