When you thought you knew everything about Tool then they hit you with the exact line that tells you how much you don’t know about Tool. My favorite song…. probably :P
Your excitement is so contagious!. Tool has been my favorite band for so many years and every time I watch yalls reactions it almost feels like I'm hearing the song for the first time with you! It's so cool seeing someone have the same feeling for a song as I do. Thanks so much for that!
Couldn't agree more and is also one of my favourite all time tool songs off undertow what a way to show us a peek into what was coming from aenima. Slow builds that hit Hard!!
What's crazy about flood is that you could play any official tool video over flood and it would work. Which is crazy as the videos tend to distract from the music... Not with flood though
First album I heard from Tool back in 1994. Still trying to follow Danney Carey on those drums for 36 years. This song , Undertow, and Sober is all I can about play on the drums from this album.....Keep the reviews coming!!!! OHHH YURRRR
Just made my day! Psyched you finally heard the masterpiece that “Flood” is. 28 year old song that fucking rips just as hard today!! The saying goes…”my favorite TOOL song is the last one I heard!” Well, “Flood”was the last one I just heard😁🤘🏻 Thanks for all the great reaction vids! Keep em coming!
Tool live in 1993-1994 was such an experience. Maynard's dance moves were so disturbing, so disarticulate. Have discovered them live and I was like "WTF just happened here ???? 😱"
@@EweCantHandletheTruth listening to it doesn't make me feel old, I'm 45, thinking how long the record being around and watching amazing reaction where people still get to hear for the first time kinda does, if that makes sense?!
@@davemarsh04 oh for sure! I get what you're saying. I get pumped watching people listen to them for the first time too. That "where have I been all this time having never heard them before" look on their faces. It genuinely shocks me when people tell me they don't know who they are. I know they aren't mainstream per se, but I'm always like "you can't be serious you've never listened to them at least a few times in the past 30 years". Especially people in our age range.
Yep.. fell in love with Opiate in 92 or 93. I was 14yrs old! I haven't stopped the Tool obsession since! Im 43 now! I havent loved anything that long except maybe boobies and cheeseburgers lol
Just found you two today. I'm loving your energy. I remember feeling this when it came out. That feeling doesn't go away no matter how many years pass between hearing these tracks again. Wow!
You laid it out perfectly!! I absolutely love your enthusiasm for this band and for music in general, it's so refreshing to hear you speak from the heart about your experience and perception of the artistry! Fantastic reaction, I'm looking forward to more!! I hope you'll check out Opeth's song The Lotus Eater, and even more than that I hope you'll get around to their new stuff even though it's not as heavy!! The track Devil's Orchard is in my opinion one of their best songs of all time! :D
This album got me into Tool. Even though their later albums are more musical masterpieces, Maynard’s vocals on this are much more powerful, haunting and the gritty, rawness sound has never been truly replicated. An absolutely awesome album.
they need to do some studio versions too, since the studio - live versions are so different. Its like listening to remixes because of how Trent does all the synthesized music on albums but then they do it with live instruments in concert.
Another great reaction. This is up there in the top Tool tracks for me. Has that great mix of early Tool aggression and progression of the later albums. I'd say one of the most underrated tracks from them, gets forgotten at the end of the album and with that long intro it's easy to skip over.
Please update your Tool Playlist and organize it in chronological order!! You guys are by far my favorite reactors - the shared joy and viscerality you guys share with us is phenomenal, and I'd love to watch the Tool Tour track by track!
Please give Rishloo a chance. If you want those nice emotional vocals that only Maynard can give, Rishloo is one of the very few bands that can compare. Try Landmines from them first.
@@andrewwalker5042 Cannot agree more. I dare say that his vocals surpass Maynards in a few songs even some of the lyrics in Rishloo which is just insane. Rishloo quickly became my second favorite band right behind Tool. It's a crime how underrated they are.
I remember one of your reactions where you said Third Eye was like a slap in the face for someone that needed one. Flood is more like getting into the ring with someone way above your level, and they're pissed off, and taking it all out on you.
Sobor Mtv is the 1st Tool song I heard, on Mtv. I went to buy Undertow, but Opiate was cheaper and I was pert broke. So Sweat is the 2nd Tool song I heard, and my fav, still.
Just realized this, but I feel very much 10,000 Days in the beginning of this song. Also, you really should check out Bottom next. I promise, you will not regret it. Its actually quite the earworm for me. 🤘❤️
Awesome vid as always. Bottom, 4 degrees, Undertow, all great tracks from this album too. Forty Six & 2 and Eulogy from the AEnima album would be awesome tracks to react to as well. Any Tool will do. Peace guys ✌🏼
This song is easy to lose in the shuffle, but is amazing, and if their entire catalogue wasn't so f*cking epic, would be a standout track. But it's Tool, so...just add on another masterpiece.
I wish you guys would do Tools entire discography from Opiate on, song by song, kind of how yall did with the Fear Inoculum record. That would be so awesome.
Also, "bottom" from the same album is amazing too!
Bottom is so underrated.
@@V.F.D.DaleSalvador agree, it's the most underrated Tool song ever. Epic 😎
Yes bottom is the shit!
They say that shit ends up at the bottom😁🎶
Flood and Bottom, my favs on this album!
Do Tool "Bottom" with Henry Rollins next, and Into The Void by NIN 🔥
Two amazing songs!
This was like hearing it the first time even though I’ve heard it 100’s of times! Thanks!
100%
I totally agree!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🍻🍻🍻
This entire album is 🔥🔥🔥 you can’t go wrong with any track! Badass guys ❤️❤️❤️

I think you can say this about all their albums. Might be the best, but cant be compared to the rest.
@@bagoegg22 flood was the last track, but not the least, except so many seemed to miss it. I was and still am entranced by this.

Always on point with the choices. Band, song and t-shirts - Tool and Donnie Darko👌🏻
