I have been using this set for some time now. They work very well. Excellent purchase.
I got the Koken set in April. Paired with my Milwaukee 2962-20 Mid-Torque impact wrench, in Drive-Control (Mode-4), I believed it was the "cat's meow." However, the manager at my local Discount Tire & Service Center says, the Mid-torque is overkill. The Milwaukee (2555-20), the M12 1/2-drive Stubby is the bomb, especially for techs peeling-off and slapping-on tires all day long. Accordingly, I would say the Milwaukee 2767-20 High Torque featured in the video is definitely overkill for lug nuts on light trucks and passenger cars; a tool I use for pressing in wheel bearings and such.
Doc, we need more than these tight shots. Show us where/how you stash your horde. Are you stepping over boxes yet?
You gotta know doc's shop is slap full . I would love to take the cooks tour.
Ive got this set + the white 22mm. Be careful the listing for the 22mm is a bit deceptive they show ALL 4 sockets in the pictures so you van get fooled into thinking your buying a set and only 1 sockets will arrive. They are great wheel sockets, Toptul has a similar set and Koken has upgraded this set to a newer design. This type has been around for years they have a new updated series but they are very similar. I was using these sockets just today when bleeding brake lines.
That Koken makes good stuff!
got a co-worker that is going to want a set. I'll point them to it.
Ordered from your link.
Posting this literally the day after I buy a set is criminal
these koken, the end already start to mushroom from take off lug nuts off my car after a few uses 😂. Let’s see how long these hold up.
The drive end or the lug nut end? Are you using them on a air tool?
@@lastbesttool the 1/2 square, yes i used on impact. It mushroomed just like snap on 🤣. Snap on mushroomed but they last forever, who know about these.
Most wheel nut sockets from what i've seen are thin walled.
Can you buy replacement plastic sleeves? I bought a 19mm Sunex version and customer support refuses to reply to my email about getting a replacement plastic sleeve since mine broke in transit.
They are listed on the Koken usa site for $1.84
What's the point of it being thinner in the middle?
Shame I can't get a plastic case to keep these sockets in Not paying $119. from Koken for a plastic case
So these are not torque sticks right?
Nope
Okay they're thin wall impact sockets. many other companies make thin wall impact rated sockets for lug nuts
Yes, and this is one of those other companies.
Wth?
@@randysmith9636 matco makes thin wall flip impact sockets that are made in the United States They sell a three-piece set. I believe Proto also makes thin wall impact sockets but that one I'm not sure
@@darrenporschthen spit it out, your point?
@@victorsalas339That there's nothing really special about thin wall impact-rated sockets lots of people make them.
@@darrenporsch Is just one more review, another good option, you are just trashing on brands that are not made in USA.
Wow those are thin.
The plastic inside always falls off over time if you use the socket a lot
