Wow! This is better than Sesame Street! This is my first time listening to Dreaming Spanish video and I am hooked. Very talented & super engaging! Thank you!
Love love love Andreas videos! Her personality and clear pronunciation are sooo helpful, she keeps it really entertaining and helps me learn without getting frustrated! One of the best teachers on dreaming Spanish.
Gracias por estos vídeos para principiantes. Son excelentes. Creo que se necesita una nueva categoría de los Oscars: vídeos cortos para principiantes de español que sean divertidos e instructivos. Y la ganadora es. . . (redoble de tambores, por favor). . . Andrea la Mexicana.
This was such a fun video and also helped me progress on my listening and understanding skills!! Will be waiting for more such videos. Thank you for sharing them :D
I probably listen too hard, and I can feel my brain turning the words I understand into English. Will my brain ever stop doing the conversion and just let the meaning happen? I've got a few Spanish words now that feel exactly the same as English in my head so I assume as time goes on more and more words won't get auto translated. These videos are great. The style is superb. Great work Andrea. Gracias por todos.
I’m kinda the same but it’s best to not even try to translate the words you hear, they say to use pictures inside your head for each word instead of translating each word in Spanish to a word in English. People that are fluent in languages aren’t translating the languages in their head, they think of pictures/images for each word just like we do in our native languages subconsciously
@@tristiandavis6852 What a great idea. I have tried to stop my head automatically saying the english word to me, but I can't stop it. Perhaps giving it the task of finding an image will do the job. I'll give it a go. It is the same with speaking. My head starts in English and tries to translate, except for sentences I've said a lot, where the whole thing has a meaning. I'll see if imagery helps there too. Thanks heaps.
@@interestedinstuff yeah when i catch myself doing that i try to stop because it's hard translating in my head and listening at the same time. it takes long for that a word in another language to be understood without having to think about it in English but once you can do that it becomes a lot simpler to learn
@@mossahaljalal1894 I read someplace that we are supposed to give ourselves the audio faster than we can understand to train ourselves out of auto translate mode. It sort of works. If I take audio I sort of understand, then play it faster, I realise I still get the meaning. Just like with our native language, sometimes you don't need every single bit of it to get what is being said. I find I try to understand 100% of what I listen to and be absolutely certain, and I think that perfectionism is slowing me down too.
En el minuto 1:45 del vídeo Andrea habla de las doce de la mañana, ¿no deberían ser las doce de la noche? (PM en lugar de AM). Pero la historia es divertida, por favor sigan así. Saludos desde Alemania
Hola 12 de la mañana esta bien dicho. Para referirnos a las 12 pm, decimos "12 de la tarde". Entonces, si escuchas 12 de la mañana o 12 de la noche, nos referimos a las 12AM.
I'm watching with them off because I just tried to follow along with the subtitles and noticed they are not all correct. i.e. at beginning of vid the CC says "Jennifer fui a dormir a su cama" when it should be: Jennifer FUE a dormir a su cama." Since I often mix these two tenses up - for me I'd rather just listen to her speak correctly. LOVE THESE VIDEOS, THEY ARE SO HELPFUL!

12 de la manana?
Is it better to watch the video with Spanish subtitles on or off?
Edit: I can read and write Spanish i just might not know what I just read lol

take a shot everytime she says jennifer
😍😍😍😍😍😌
Sí…Tú eres una actriz muy buena ….
I'll say it here, Phantasma is such a cooler word than Ghost
So she wears glasses and because it was dark she saw an object that looked like a ghost then she found her glasses and realized it wasn’t?
Algo raro....algo extraño. Los Espookys????
To clarify…this method doesn’t teach how to speak, but rather improves the ear for comprehension?
It will get you most of the way there for speaking too! Check out the method page on our website.
