Ive been playing this same deck for a few weeks, I assumed the penny was just for getting out a stuck raging bolt, but it is also really handy if you get stuck for draw, you can Teal dance an ogerpon, then penny it up, get the pon and the grass back, then put it back down and Teal dance it again. Also comes in clutch when you need ogerpon as an attacker but there's like 3 on your bench and they all have 1 or 2 energy each and you need to juice up the energies to attack for more. just penny up one of them and bam energies in hand which you can usually easily get on to the other.

I just started maybe a month or two ago and I have already played the TCG Live and now I have been attending real events. I've done 4-5 now and it's been brutal, I haven't had one win, I get close very rarely, but it's been a real struggle for me to understand what I am doing wrong. Is there any type of coaching you do or somewhere I can get like live help over discord speak so I can get a grasp on what I am doing wrong. I really really am loving playing this game, even when I lose, I still feel good most of the time because I feel like I learn a little more. But there is just so much to learn man, if you offer any coaching services, please let me know, I would gladly pay for lessons. I am using a modified Charizard ex deck using a lot of the staples from the deck lists on limitless, but still I need a lot of help. Let me know bro, because as amazing as these guide videos you make are, I have a million questions about stuff. Any response or help is appreciated man.

Question about Mew EX using genome hacking: wouldnt that count as an EX attack because it's an EX using the attack? Question because I ran into that today and the judge said it wouldn't work because Mew EX is using the attack. I was with the judge on that ruling, also didn't think I'd go against a Mimikyu today 😅
The reason this works is mimikyu's attack is an effect not damage. Mimikyu's safeguard ability only protects from damage dealt. I.E. when there is printed damage on the attack or the attack says deals x damage. I would definitely suggest to your judge to look on some forums or the compendium for rulings on this.

I see some lists running Tina instead of Bolt, in a vacuume the Lost Zone'd energy should be pretty negligible (you'll use it 3 times max anyways), and mitigates the "bolt start". What's the benefit of Bolt over Tina, less convern about resource management?
Yea u can change the dragon attackers how u like! Another card u can drop is cleffa since I don’t find myself using it a lot. Once shrouded fable comes out imma play the new kyurem in it
I think Squawkabilly makes this deck way more faster over Cleffa. This way you can play things like super rod and scoop up cyclone, even hawlucha to 1tap 70HP pokémon with him and phantom dive
@@themiarte1125 hawlucha could be cool, although 70hp mons never feel too bad because often I'll use my first phantom dive to spread anyway to get a bunch of things into into 200 and 60 range. Squawk is a decent shout. Cyclone feels like a waste of an ace spec tho and there's already Penny to get squawk out.

Penny bouncing an Ogerpon with a couple energy to dance some more is fun in a pinch. She's rarely dead where she is in other decks.

Placing damage counter is not the same as doing damage

Naw it’s there for the draw, if u don’t have it I would recommend putting a squakabilly or maybe another dragon type attacker

You can also consider Secret Box as your ace spec, as it can discard 3 cards from your hand and help you setup with necessary items and supporters!
