    Dude! We almost did a water pump! Been bleeding it for days! Replaced the radiator, thermostat, oveflow tank and it wont stop bubbling out the overflow-still overheating! I'm so glad we watched your video! I'm going to try your trick tomorrow but that's got to be our problem! Thanks so much! Keep doing what you do! Love watching you work!

    Astral I want to thank you so much! So 06 Chrysler 300 2.7. Had overheating issue cracked my radiator. So i went ahead and changed radiator and changed thermostat. As you know changing the thermostat on this car is the biggest pain in the ass. So after replacing everything and putting in 50 50 Mopar antifreeze combo. I start car, put ac heat on low and wait and it just starts bubbling. Gauge in the middle i decide to take it around the block and gauge goes up just like the video. Watching the video reminded me and taught me how to correctly bleed the system. Also the little trick about the fans coming on and off making it likely my water pump was still good made me feel better. After i bleed the system BOOM I'm rolling again. Thanks a lot man. You gained another subscriber and helped me out. THANKS!

    My elderly roommate has a 2009 300 with this lovely 2.7 engine and this is the SECOND time this coolant bleeder housing has failed! The first time she had it towed to a shop to be fixed and it was like a $400 bill..now, 2 years later..happens again! This time I say I'll change it out..you could see a huge chunk of plastic blown off the hosing and coolant all over the engine..she barely made it home from Orlando here to Tampa! A few blocks from home in the BK drive-thru she noticed steam coming out of the hood and her gauge rising up..So anyway..I got the part replaced it praying the whole time and filled it up burped it and bled the air the way you said not to!! Sorry! Im a week late watching this!! I also ran the engine with the heat on high and it got FIRE hot!!! Especially when I revved it up it was HOT as a trailer in the Florida summer heat without A/C!!! So tonight she is driving to St Pete and this is the first time driving any distance since I changed that part..many other videos say that something had to cause the part to fail as it should not blow out like that but I hope it's not a problem..car is granny owned and driven barely 80K miles and oil is changed at 3K miles every time as I told her these 2.7 are known for sludge..Let's hope I don't get a call tonight from the highway!!!

    Hello Tim i am having the same trouble with my vehicle. Its started to have an overheating issue after replacing the reservoir tank. It was replaced because it was leaking. It started to run hot and would steam out of the cap. The mechanic switched the thermostat and supposedly bleed the system. The car was fine for a day the next evening it started to run a little hot. The guage would go up. And then down. I ran the ac and it seemed to help. The fans are working in high from what i can tell. But i don't know about low speed.

    I have an 07 chrylser 300c and haven't found the problem for months now, suspecting it's my radiator overflow cap too because it's the original cap from 07 and thinking the spring just isn't holding pressure anymore. The car would overheat after driving and when I sat a light or something the temp would just keep rising to 3/4 or redline. Had a radiator flush, headgasket check, hoses changed, new waterpump and belt, different coolants made for the car. Only thing I haven't done is a pressure test and that temp gun radiator test you did

    looks like the big gasket is missing off the test cap. Have you ever heard of anything that will clean head gasket sealer out of the radiator? Got new head gasket, but now runs a little warmer then it should. And heater core clogged. New radiator cap new water pump and no leaks. This is also a chrysler (Plymouth actually) but has no bleeder valve. Older 4 cylinder is why. Dont think it requires bleeding. As always great videomanship..and informative. Thank you for doing them. You should get a public service award.

Also when i turn on the ac the fans dont turn on i tried changing the relays and still didnt turn the fans on but they do turn on when the car heats up. I dont know what else it could be. Drive for about 20 mins and it overheats. It has two bleeders - one on the thermostat and one slightly higher on the heater hose going into the bulkhead. Lots of good info in the video. Thanks.

    • @OnlineAutoRepairVideos
      @OnlineAutoRepairVideos  4 года назад +1

      If you need to bleed the water pump, you will be bleeding the entire system. to do that, there will be a bleed valve on top of the engine.

    Just went through the same thing with my 2007 300 3.5 replaced the the water pump the thermostat and housing and was told that it was the heater core. Luckily I didn't replace the heater core I flushed it and it still was overheating so I bypassed the heater core and it still was over heating and it end up being the radiator cap. Over $800 i spent and all along it was the cap! Smdh

      Astral Auto Repairs he might need to check and if his jug has a recall on it. Specially it's a year younger then my stepdad 300. And you right about the fans having two speeds. Also I see he has the green coolant my stepdad owner manual recommend the orange. idk just because it's a different engine are not. But he also had everything changed water pump thermostat then the jug.
