I am so ashamed to say, that as an avid ash fan from 1972 this song slipped by from my radar and even though I have most of ash early 70's vynils, this song now hits me with a ton of bricks. Thank you Martin for your contribution to music and exceptional talent. Great band and performance by all!
This is the song that turned me into a Wishbone Ash lover in 1973. Incidentally the year I met my wife and still married in 2021. Love the song, melody an lyrics, and it is one of those songs that brings a tear to my eyes every time I hear it. Fabulous.
Same here. I became a Wishbone Ash fan back then. I remember buying the 'Wishbone Four' cassette and this was my favourite track. I've been a Wishbone Ash fan ever since. It sounds as great as ever here with Martin Turner in 2021.
You wanna hear mind blowing bass?? Listen to Wishbone Ash ‘s “HANDY”...beyond amazing, you can physically feel it!!! Martin Turner is “THE MAN”!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Beautiful, Guys! Love this song, and Wishbone Four is my all time fave WA album! We also are hungry for new Martin Turner music! Written in the Stars is an absolute classic! I´m listening since 2015, and ever since it has never left my stereo! Cheers from Brazil! Take care, guys!
I was sad when Martin left Wishbone Ash, but the result is that we now have 2 fantastic bands doing their material, not one. This is a beautiful version of one of Ash's best songs.
We had the pleasure of working with Markus as our local promoter several times. A very dedicated, friendly and extremely pleasant person who we also miss. Thank you for this great reminiscence that is sure to bring a smile to his face wherever he may be now. May he rest in peace.
Just a great song from the Wishbone Ash album Wishbone Four. Back in the 1970s Wishbone Ash put out half a dozen great albums, and in Martin Turner they had one of the finest bass players around. Their 3rd album, the classic 'Argus' was the first album I ever bought, and 50 years later it's STILL in my top 10 album list. Check out Martin's fantastic bass lines on the song 'Sometime World'. Thanks for posting this, Martin
I've recently tripped over my Wishbone Ash collection, and revisited many of those albums. What a stupendous band - so many unforgettable melodies and lyrics from a time when talented musicians unashamedly aimed to bring beauty. I'm not too pleased to suddenly find myself knocking on the door of being 69, but that's the price one willingly pays to have grown up with bands like this. For me, this stuff never ages, just reminds me of a time when great bands served hard apprenticeships, the long slog, playing increasingly bigger venues until some A&R rep recognised genius; so unlike the numerous vacuous and vain 'musicians' of today, preening for (anti?) social media cameras and programming their material on computers.
A very pleasant surprise to hear this recording. A fine tribute and a reminder as if we needed it that they are a top band of musicians. Lovely solos from Danny and Misha, very tasteful. Hopefully they will revisit some more of Martins back catalogue
Love it! Back on the Rickenbacker for this one! I still was most influenced by your Thunderbird tone! I was delighted to meet you at The Dreadnought in Bathgate! Life long fan! And I agree, when is the Knighthood to be a Sir going to happen!
i love this martin its great to see you singing again iam glad staying safe.! properly do a gig like this over the internet like this it would be great.! best wishes from shaz in the east mids.

C'mon now Martin, when are you gonna start ageing? I've been a fan from the age of 8, I'm now 58 and you hardly look any different and sound just as good as ever!
How sad I am. I LOVED Wishbone Ash back in 1971 till they split. Although Martin Turner’s voice still sounds awesome, it’s just not the same without Ted Turner, Andy Powell and Steve Upton, the ORIGINAL and for me THE ONLY REAL Wishbone Ash. 😪😪😪😪

@@RadioMarycha You married his wife?
Yes
Wonderful 'tribute' for Markus, the german tourmanager who died last year.
Beautiful, just beautiful. And in this time of history we need to listen to each other and be friends
One of my favourite Wishbone Ash songs, in nearly 50 years of listening to the band and their music.
My favourite song from Wishbone Four. Thanks for some incredible music Martin.
The best song ever written, thank you for the fine work.
Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful,
Fantastic Version, Martin's Voice is as good as ever, and the rest of the band are great too.
This is so fantastic to listen to....Martin turner is a fantastic singer, bass player and song writer...
Listening to his voice on "Here to Hear" most would probably agree that he rivals, perhaps surpasses Bowie. Especially on "Bolan's Lament".

Mr Turner! I don't know if you understand the impact your voice and music is made on a generation!!! Thanks!
몇 십 년 전 이 노래를 처음 들었을 때 가수의 몽환적인 목소리와 창법에 너무 충격 받았던 순간을 아직도 선명하게 기억합니다. 지금도 여전히 예술이군요.
A timeless great song. A flash back of those old memories. Martin still sing great. Blessing...

the 4 of them should just get back together and tour and use the same gear they used in the 70s that would be something one of the best bands ever😄

Saw Martin and the boys 2 nights ago, great gig. Unlike others, totally true to the Wishbone Sound and feel. The band are superb.
Thanks for this wonderful version. And nice to see Martin with a Ricky, long time ago...
Beautiful song. Just takes me back decades but still a great piece of music today.

Ted?
Maybe you mean Danny Willson. His solo on this is superb. Great player like Ted Turner but of course has his own unique style.
@@tomlayman3141 It certainly isn't Ted.
@@1990-t1j That's what I said. But Danny's a great player in his own right.
@@tomlayman3141 I'd agree with that.
Couldn't recognize the teenager at the centre.
I think his name's Nigel Brown. Excellent drumming methinks.
