    Thanks for your video, I've had a Stuka project with just part of the cockpit completed and I've been looking at it for months for inspiration. I think that frustration just took over. After watching your technique for building and painting I feel inspired to finish it! Thank you

    Very nice build. And..... bravo... you did something I hardly see anyone doing, you stenciled all the markings & insignia. That makes it look soooo much better.
    Also, you showed me the extra little bit my piston aircraft have been missing with the exhaust. I always just go straight to the black. Adding the earth under tones really picks it up to the level of realism I’ve been racking my brain for years how to get. Thank you.
    Just one thing that got me through. I’m not so sure that with the undercarriage design of the ‘Stuka’, that there would be so much dirt staining under the wings. I could be definitely be wrong, but just seemed to be a bit much.
    Again, really a very nice build. I enjoyed the build series on this. Thanks for sharing your work. 👍👍

      Thank you Gabriel, I have seen that you have done one too!. I'm waiting to watch the full build and paint process..How was the Airfix kit?

    • @PanzergrauModels
      @PanzergrauModels 5 лет назад

      It's the old molds from Airfix and shows its age: minimal cockpit detail, raised rivets and poor fit here and there, but by no means the kit deserves the bad reputation it has. Personally, I found particularly annoying the lack of engine but other than that all shortcomings are easy to deal with. Anyhow, Airfix has released already a newly tooled kit that looks fantastic. I build it for a GB just to take it out of my stash - otherwise it would never have seen daylight again :) I like much better the Italeri you're building by comparison with what I had.

    • @TurbineModels
      @TurbineModels  5 лет назад +1

      I didnt see the new one from airfix but to be honest, i like it so much the italeri one, so nice fit and very good detail level....:)
      Now I’m building a t34/76 mod 1942 the AFV, I recomend you so much if you are thinking to build a tank soon, really it’s a very nice kit

    • @PanzergrauModels
      @PanzergrauModels 5 лет назад

      It looks very good in your hands that Italeri, I have to agree. Unfortunately Italeri is a hit and miss experience :( but I would gladly build their Italian armor... I really hope one day they will release the upgraded molds for Ariete and such... even the AB 40/41 which are nowadays a little difficult to find and obsolete. Yes, I intend to to a T-35 at some point and thank you for the recommendation. I just finished today Tamiya Mitsubishi Type 16 MCV and it was an absolute joy to build it. The next step is a Fokker Eindecker EIII (also Airfix) for a campaign... KUTGW! You're a very talented and experienced modeler. Thank you for sharing your experiences!

    I keep watching your videos, mate. Fantastic job, well done!
    I’ve just started working on an Italeri model, the D-5 (no.2709).
    This is my restart after 30 years.
    I remember, when I was just a kid, how simple everything used to be. Didn’t even dare to dream about accessories, photo etched parts etc. I could only afford 1:72 scale models, used my grandfather’s oil paints, mixed the colours myself if I had to. I smeared the ashes of used matches onto the wings at the guns. The outcome was simple but I could just look at my models for hours.Matchbox was my favourite brand.
    I’m very excited to learn all these new techniques.
    Thanks for sharing.

    Great work turbine. I love finding new talent and channels to watch and learn from, picking up some new techniques from your show. Most excellent weathering and painting! Some of the very best I have seen. One minor point though...Did you paint the rubber boots on the undercarriage spat legs, just above the spats? It didn't seem so. They were left unpainted ( rubber black ) as the solvent in Luftwaffe Paints used would attack the rubber over time. Sorry, Can't post photos 0f them on Tew-Lube!

    • @brettpeacock9116
      @brettpeacock9116 4 года назад

      @@TurbineModels On further checking, the rubber boots were only found on later models of the Ju 87 (the D and G models specifically.) There was a change to the U/C fairings and spats, and or the removal of the spats also affected this. In the B models the fairing was able to compress with the hydraulics of the leg, and not foul itself on the outer fairing. I am working on a D model and just started the B-1 fromAirfix so had to go back to check my references.

      Hi Domme!, thank you for your comment. Answering your question, usually I prefer dont use thinner to remove the excess wash, however sometimes, If I wait too much or if surface is not enough glossy, I use a brush slightly wet in thinner...
