Alas, in 1978 you were just alive you couldn’t stipulate that you were glad to be alive in 1970 because you were a kid and not really thinking in that way. You were just alive mate that was it nothing special.
Remember thus we'll i was just in high school then. Another great from legendary darts, there will never be music like this again. Please take me back to the late 70s and 80s

Amazing Darts. Saw them in Gt Yarmouth (Tiffany's Ballroom) in 1978. They had had a hit with "Daddy Cool" and were touring to promote their follow-up single "Come Back My Love". Griff wrote "Sometime Lately" which is a fab R+R Ballad. Should be a standard. Had they been around 20 years sooner they would have been worldwide stars I think. Certainly up there with Dion and the Belmonts..
“Has it ever struck you that life is all memory, except for the one present moment that goes by you so quick you hardly catch it going?”― Tennessee Williams.
saw these twice, in Great Yarmouth Den Hegarty dived off the stage into the crowd, cause he never hit the floor too many people couldn't get out of the way, bloody good laugh.
I've always like do-wap,and I enjoyed this when it came out, but over almost five decades later, seeing and hearing his again has made me aware that I'd been unaware of how slick and polished a vocal and instrumental act they actually were-especially when compared to the shit acts that made it big in the early to mid 70s. I wonder what happened to them?
Jay I’m exactly the same - they were brilliant - I loved them when I was a kid but forgot about them - I keep listening to them lately with a deeper respect 👌🏽
Saw darts at manchesters belle view, kings hall in 1974,they were warm up act for the great Jerry lee Lewis, where a night of teddy boy madness ensued, cracking night out😎
Utterly brilliant song. Still holds up and sounds fresh in 2023.
Don't forget Rita Ray!! Magnificent contribution

Nothing as classy as this is made today in the music world. It was a joy to be around in 1978.
Alas, in 1978 you were just alive you couldn’t stipulate that you were glad to be alive in 1970 because you were a kid and not really thinking in that way. You were just alive mate that was it nothing special.
