I think the only thing underrated about it is the sound. I think it's not a great car past the engine. like other Maseratis. doesn't mean i didn't smile through the whole video.
As much as I love your F-Type, I think I prefer this car much more. The design is so timeless, and the exhaust noise is just so aggressive, but refined at the same time.

god i love how he bounces off the limiter, it sounds so fkn incredible. and the slow automatic is so nice too when it downshifts, which a double clutch doesn't have, at least not at this level
What sucks with the Granturismo is the RPM gauge doesn't keep up with the engine speed. You hit the 7500 rpm redline and it's only reading 6800 rpm. Makes it sound like you don't know how to drive hitting the rev limiter that hard. 🤦♂️
I definitely did not expect that.. I got a little scared at the beginning but all I can say is nothing sound better than a Maserati , it's just mental. I love it !

that is a proper engine note. that exhaust note is the selling point for me. Its good to see a dad teaching his kids the right cars to buy and how to drive them and modify them.

Agreed. I have a 13'. 454hp but only 384 lb-ft TQ. She's heavy. With an exhaust and improved intake and ecu, maybe you'd see 500-530bhp (400-430 at the wheel). 600 with a supercharger maybe? Correct me if I'm wrong there.

In the next update Maserati don't do anything to the exterior but only update the interior and include modern technology such as a touchscreen infotainment system. That is all people want.
Great video, I like the colours, and awesome sounds, but its not an MC stradale. The stradale's were never sold in the USA. I believe the car shown is the MC Shift. The pure stradale's, in their first gen had only two seats, and also carbon ceramic brakes, and "Race" Mode. To those commenting on the bad gearbox: yes, its bad if you plan to use it as a day to day commuter or for the grocery run. But at 7/10 to 10/10 driving its amazing: 60ms shift times above 3500 rpm, same box as the ferrari 599. The stradale also had "only" 10bhp more than the rest of the line up, but everyone knows Ferrari let more power than that happen in the stradale. Tests out to a top speed of 314km/h. Hope I don't sound like a hater, more a defender of the stradale, one of the best sounding, looking and driving cars out there for any money. Peace.
A lot of people saying that this would be a good replacement for the F-Type, I think you just need to replace it with something a bit different, a bit underrated and make it shine, that's probably why this car is loved so much now.

all the bolt on mods in the world wont get the GT past 500hp .. those mods will get him 480-90 hp in a good day.. he just told Sam that, and Sam is not the type of "smart car guy" to know that and just run with it in the title..
I just sold my granturismo two weeks ago but never did videos with proper mic to catch that sound as good as possible. I wish the 2016 model had an all new nav system etc because the one it has is terrible and i dont know how an exhaust and exu tune got over 600hp but the extra power it needs would make it perfect with a new nav system!

I have a Maser, and man says it all if you want an Italian car with a roaring exhaust and it has 4 seats which can easily take the kids out in, then look no further, no car sounds like it
Cool ass car. Dad likes to play with it. No cruisin , just bruisin. Maserati has always made the best sounding cars. The MC-12 is the best sounding car in history. They old Grand Sport sounds like the gates of hell have been opened. But the Prancing Horse boys can argue that their cars sound the best.

You should definitely buy one of these sam. You can pick up a 30,000 miles MC Shift for £42,000 with a really nice spec. Replace the F-Type and buy a daily with the money to spare. Honestly i think this is so much nicer than the Jaguar. Sorry Jag.
Ha everyone is allowed their own opinion. Its a bit too big for me personally and the gearbox/interior a little too basic but my god it looks beautiful and sounded INCREDIBLE

I have always loved the GranTurismo, and the older Quattroporte too!
The MC Stradale was so understated when it came out but I believe it's truly morphed into a classic over it's lifetime.

It's an awesome car but I'm not sure it's for me. They are big cars and the interior feels a little too dated for me - but the sound is AMAZING

Maseratis are pretty slow for their price range when they're stock, in my opinion.
