    Hyundai owners in our area need to start a class action lawsuit. We had the same problem with our 2017 Tucson but were fortunate enough that our engine made noise and we were able to fill with oil before we had major problems such as this. We thought it was the fault of the dealership since we just had it serviced. Our car continues to burn oil every 500 -1000 miles . Every service record and every oil check is on record at the St Augustine dealership. This problem was discovered while the car was still under warranty. Buyers beware, Hyundai will not stand behind their product. !!! The customer service number in the manual is useless.Thank You Anthony for this report. Hopefully this will be a warning to all owners and potential buyers! We also had problems with our paint chipping and had to plead with the company to repair. We know of the exact same problems with paint and oil with our neighbors 2015 Sonata.

      I bought two Palisades, one SE and the other limited. I returned both. I was very disappointed with the built quality. I switched over to Honda. Currently my Honda insight holds itself better than the palisade while driving. I hear no interior rattles on the Honda. My two Palisades rattle a alot with the sunroof doors and dash. The quality was bad.

    I got a software update from the dealership for a recall which says that after the update if there is engine issue then engine light will comeup, i drove straight to my work from the dealership and my car was parked there and after 8 hrs it didn’t start and the engine light was on when I contacted the dealership they told me they can’t take my car because they were booked for 3 months so i took it to another dealership who told me that i was have issues with spark plugs and nothing else but the car is still consuming tons of oil and they have no answers for it

      They didn't manufacture them properly, leaving metal shavings and burs that come loose and fill the motor with metal shavings that block the flow of oil. Thus blowing motors. Theta 2 2.0 turbo avoid at all cost.

    • @kirelamont
      @kirelamont 11 месяцев назад

      Here is an update to my problem with my Elantra ...
      The synthetic oil had broken down so pressure was super low, and I changed the battery , took all the unnecessary stuff off, since put over 6000 miles on it and has not shut off until I turn it off. It's not a Hyundai battery that I put back in. Believe it or not your oil has a lot to do with these sensitive azz cars. Not saying this would be everyone's problem. But it solved mine. However I did change the oil 1st and put in quality oil the oil lite never came on but the car stop shutting off until the battery cell went weak so I changed it. Again 6000plus miles and no shutdown.....
      Hope this helps someone else. Good luck

    That's why I bought a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport & now at 94k miles always dealer maintained. The engine did a jump, spuder motor blow. Now finna go thru the process of a replacement engine. It did a misfire spark plug about a year ago too. Oh I told it was burning then & they claim I had a bad valve cover gasket. I didn't take a video of the under side but I was showing my girlfriend where her spark plugs & coils. It wasn't anything leaking but I told them I just look back there they must sprayed the back corner of the valve cover & said couldn't see right there. But it still was minor to how much I had to add. It was never none on the plastic under body cover. He said it burned off from hitting the exhaust. They know these engines are no good

  • @BklynCapri

    Is this in Canada? The KSDS upgrade warranty sucks. Car seizes then you scrap your car, no matter how well car was maintained. Or pay $12 000+ tax for a new engine, pure madness

  • @philjerome9795
    @philjerome9795 7 месяцев назад +1

    Certain cars, even newer ones in good condition, use oil. Everyone should check their oil regularly, don't wait for the oil light to come on. Each time an engine is run low on oil, it does damage and shortens the life of the engine. I don't recommend going over 5,000 miles between oil changes. I know several people with Hyundai and Kia engine oil consumption issues.

    Don't buy Kia and Hyundai. These are known problems. They were giving everyone new motors cause they knew the issue. However, it got to expensive and decided to use every dirty trick in the book to not fix their mistakes. Both manufacturers cars do it and most of the issues are in the GDI and GTDI.

    I experienced this first hand with my 2017 Santa Fe. Engine kept burning massive amounts of oil at 40k miles due to a recall. They kept neglecting to fix. Traded it in for a cx5. I wish would’ve bought the Mazda originally. Anyhow Hyundai Kia has got to be the worst car brand I’ve ever come across.

    Think of how much gas the owners will save by the vehicle shutting off randomly.
    Of course you don't have to worry about that if the engine fails or the car starts itself
    on fire. What possibly more could you ask from a vehicle and/or manufacturer?????

  • @auhsojyihst9440

    It's a scripted answer dealership gives you. We can't do any thing due to neglected maintenance. Until they got caught lying by a brain new car. They need a serious law suit where fixing a simple car will turn into them paying you million for lying and putting your life in danger with a faulty engine that should never be sold with your car.

    The problem with the Hyundais/Kia they burn oil. So if you don’t check your oil between intervals you may run the engine out of oil and blown the engine. These car are intolerant of lack of maintenance. These cars are not much cheaper than a Honda/Toyota buy one of those.

      Keep your oil change record....use only their oil filter...and add an engine cleaner to the oil. (MARVEL MYSTERY OIL) THEY WILL TEAR DOWN THE ENGINE TO SEE IF THEY'RE IS SLUDGE.

    • @60gregma
      @60gregma 7 месяцев назад

      @@mannybudhu3905 As far as I know they don't tear down the engine. They read code P1326 from the ECM. They performed a BCT test. It failed. They removed and replaced the engine. The car was towed in on a Saturday. I had the car back the following Friday afternoon. No questions asked. The dealer that did the work has never seen me (they were the closest one to the breakdown). I do have all my service done as prescribed at a Kia dealer near me but they are not a branch of the dealer the car was taken to.

      You got lucky. They were supposed to have replaced my 2.0turbo theta engine on my sante fe sport. It was approved and the dealership only replaced parts.. not the entire motor. They absolutely left the turbo unconnected and didn't put motor mount, alternator bracket and God only knows what else. They told me that I would feel safer in a new one that they'd give me 5k over book if I traded in for a new model. I had it there 6 times in 4 weeks bc of this. They would do nothing corporate or dealership. I took it to another hyundai dealer, paid out of pocket to get them to check the turbo.. they didn't connect it at all, but wrote the vehicle was working as designed. Luckily the 2nd dealership wrote and took pics as witnesses, but they still would not pay to get the motor checked over again. Guess what financed thru hyundai.. come get your pos
