Ohh this is awesome! You should definitely react to more Demi And yes Demi's voice is way more rested now they have been touring pretty much every year since 2009. Even on 2014 they had their tonsils out and went on a world tour, I believe that was the lowest point to their voice but they haven't been on tour since 2018 so Demi's voice is just next level now
Omg i love your reactions on Demi! One thing to say is that Demi does kinda lose their voice on tour 'cause apart from having a hectic schedule and singing a lot they get sick a lot too - u know they meet a lot of people on m&gs that are sick etc and also basically the 2 year break they had really made a difference in their voice that they said themselves they don't know what happened but the break gave their voice enough rest that they're now able to hit new notes..! (btw Demi was 15 in camp rock 1 and 17 in camp rock 2)
Please react to Demi Lovato singing Still Have Me (live at pepsi unmute your voice). Its a master piece. It was a few months ago but still kinda recent, and there are a lot of what you guys were talking about in this video in that performance. Demi has a really interesting way of hitting the really high notes in that song (mainly e vowels) and i'd love for you guys to comment on it. Please check it o8ut!
This was such a FANTASTIC video! I absolutely love the fact that you pause the video to explain things. Just awesome! And you sounded amazing doing the "oh tell me you love me" line! The difference to me is that you sounded lighter, headier, you know? Still absolutely beautiful though! Subscribed! You two are amazing!
13:28 I think it’s also because you’re using your mix register in the first part while Demi uses chest then goes into mix, that’s why it’s hard to do it
For the key change phrase i think she places sound not super forward but actually right in the middle in the face and if you flatten your tongue but not let it touch your lips, just place it right behind the front teeth and sing a sharp “e” vowel you can get the same sound and resonance
That "tell me you love me" at 13:00 certainly sounds amazing! And I get what you mean... I can sing some of the notes that she makes you think are impossible to do, but mine definitively don't sound as impressive as hers... I don't know how she does it, very everytime I listen to her she has me in awe, her voice is amazing! (L)
What Demi is doing, is kind like what Bruno Mars also do, they sing with their mixed register and do a glottal attack, like a "hick up". That's why Melia had a hard time figuring out the vowel, because she wasn't much doing a attack, but holding back the sound, and when she does a glottal attack at the end, it sounds much closer from what Demi is doing. And to achieve that kind of sound is also important that you learn first the vocal mode at the lower/middle part and bring it to the high part of the voice.
Demi has shared with us through their documentaries that they have struggled with drug addiction in the past and they did overdose about a year or two ago, so all of that definitely factors into the state of her voice today.
That doesn’t mean she has tension, also because if it was, then it would make it harder for her to sing. Well like you said it, you can’t be tense and like keep having that agility through out like singing, it would interrupt.
I've been a huge fan of Demi's since I was 13/14 fell in love with them while watching Camp Rock when it aired on German free tv for the first time ever, in 2008. I've also always been interested in music and singing so obviously they blew me away and became a role model. But.... their songs have always been too hard for me to sing. I mean I took voice lessons but considering I wasn't good at all when I first started, I couldn't attempt singing most of their songs (Catch Me probably being one of the very few). I mean I improved a lot (still jut mediocre tho), but I never thought I could really be a singer, didn't think that was a possibility for me, always thought I wasn't a good enough singer, so I always neglected my singing. Also, I think my voice is just thin and I don't have much range (my vocal coach back then said I was a mezzo soprano and in choir I sang alto). And tbh they're still a huge vocal role model for me. What wouldn't I give to be able to sing like that, or somewhat close to that, to be able to belt my ass off like they do. Now, at 26, almost 27 I am wondering if there's still room for improvement, even if I have neglected singing a little in the past 5-7 years or so, even if I'll never be close to be able to do what they do (they're unique, one of a kind)... I still love singing. But there's a lot I need to work on (again). I hope I can take voice lessons again one day. And I'll hopefully find vocal coaches like you two. I loved my previous coaches but I don't think they got the best out of me, I feel like there could've been.... more, I guess. I love having found your channel. I love talk about everything that comes with singing, love learning more about it. I'll be looking forward to you reacting to more of Demi's and BTS' live performances, but also Ariana Grande's. Would love to see some Little Mix on your channel, too. If you ever see this, my suggestion would be Little Mix' cover of 'Love on the Brain'
I think Demi often struggles when they're not belting in chest. There's a froggy, childlike quality to the more speech-level singing that almost completely goes away in the belts. The two sounds are so far apart and I can't think of any other pop singer quite like that. It seems like they figured out a long time ago that loud is where the voice is impressive and kind of let the other parts just be what they are without trying to achieve a more uniform, balanced tonal quality throughout the registers. They're awesome, don't get me wrong...I just would prefer the sound to be more connected. It would probably be easier and more sustainable for Demi as well.
I think we would absolutely agree! There are certainly moments when it feels like nothing would come out if they stopped using as much air and possible even muscle as they do to produce that powerful belt. We would definitely love to hear a more connected sound!
Helloo! Can you analize Little Mix' vocals? I'm sure you would love to see them! Here some recommendations: Confetti - Acoustic Secret Love Song - Little Mix The Search Falling (cover) at bbc radio one
How does posture affect vocal quality? Demi has her shoulders slightly hunched, and as she holds the mic she's compressing her chest. Also, the angle of her neck is as if she has a bit of text-neck. For me, I would feel that these three postural qualities would flatten and compress my voice, and make my singing require more effort.
Oh I want nothing more to be able to sing.. but I have a paralyzed left vocal chord from when I was 3 weeks old and had to have emergency surgery cuz I was born at 26 weeks.. I loveusic so so much and would love to actually sing well 😢🙂
Could you react to Madison Beer singing National Anthem. She is not a big technical vocalists like some reaction you have done here but she has some nice runs.
PLEASE REACTO TO DANCING WITH THE DEVIL OF TIS TINY DESK, you'll love it and there is so much more to hear from that song in an acusting type, please please please, you'll be gaged
Hello, can you react with "together we fly" by TNT boys? There are 3 little boys in the group and their harmonies were really great!❤️ Now their voices mature but still great as ever❤️I hope you guys can make a reaction with it❤️
Demi’s voice is raspy (damaged) due to years batting an eating disorder where she would make yesterday vomit multiple times a day. Super sad but now it’s what makes her stand out so much more!!
You guys should Check Katrina Velarde's cover or should i say live performance of Demi's Stone Cold 😊 and she got a lot to offer with your channel guys ❤❤❤
You should react to Australian singer Vanessa amorosi ! She’s one of the greats ! I would recommend her live performances: Natural women: m.ruclips.net/video/xHb9oKuFiOY/видео.html Prefect: m.ruclips.net/video/IE1khKd12ws/видео.html For a more soulful version of ‘perfect’ I’d recommend: m.ruclips.net/video/cPib3ih5Cq8/видео.html And last but not least, her most iconic performance and possibly one of the greatest vocal performances of all time “heroes live forever”: m.ruclips.net/video/lmAAQU2zRT4/видео.html
Demi might prefer whatever pronouns, but it's irrational to force people to go against what they perceive as objective reality. You are allowed to refer to her as "her", because you do not know her in person, and she cannot force you to alter your objective reality. If you want people to perceive you as something else, make sure that you resemble what you wanna be perceived as - make your identity speak for itself, otherwise you will end up in very strange positions in society where what you are is undefined. If a person doing surgery on you says "I do not consider myself a surgeon, I identify as X, professionally speaking", would you relinquish your factual observation of that person being a surgeon? I don't think so. This pronoun thing is a two-party game. You can say what you prefer, but no one is forced to use them unless they do something irrational (such as calling Y what is factually perceivable as X). You can tell me what you prefer me to call you, but I'm not obliged to do so for as long as my objective reality remains consistent with what I can epistemically perceive from my surroundings. If you feel disrespected, that's fine by me, because respect is not a default that I owe to anyone.
i love your reactions videos so much and i would like to see you react to tears of gold stripped version by faouzia I SWEAR YOU WON'T REGRET IT AND YOU WILL THANK ME LATER
Demi was actually 15 in the first Camp Rock and 17 in the second. It's crazy how talented they've always been!!
Thank you for leaving in the minute and half of Melia attempting that high note before singing it BEAUTIFULLY. I was rolling at Chase’s faces 🤣🤣

Loved the “tell me you love me” and she does it with nasal combo with vowel. I belly laughed on the “you’re flat.”
I thought that you'd react to their whole concert 🥺
Me too I was sad when they didn't.
Yessss
I’ll watch an 18 minute video of you singing “MAAEEEEEE” love it

"it lli bit flat"
YOUR FLAT 😂
We got some little mix reactions coming up because dam they bop, missing them as a full on group tho
It’s fair to say during this performance Demi said there was a sinus infection complicating the singing, but Demi still killed it

Morissette has a cover of Tell Me You Love Me and Stone Cold by Demi Lovato and I Wanna Know What Love Is, Rendition of Mariah Carey.
Can you react to Morissette singing "Tell Me You Love Me? Or "Fly Like A Bird" by Mariah Carey?
Sooooooooo good video, however, Demi identified as they, not her 😁 just a pointer!
Thank you! We will keep that in mind for future videos! 🙏🏼❤️
