An unfairly underrated film
IKR 😭😭😭😭😭I would DIE TO SEE JIM HENSON OR TOUCH ONE OF THE PUPPETS
@@graceeyler9846 My husband and I went on a trip to Atlanta in June; we went to the Museum of Puppetry and saw many of Jim Henson's creations there.
By whom? The term "underrated" is used rather insultingly by those who obviously mean to say that these older films aren't KNOWN to current audiences. This was loved when it came out.
@@kaydee4296 Apparently you didn't understand my point. When I say it's underrated, I don't mean that the movie is hated or aren't known by current audience. of course it's known and loved by older and current audiences, but I mean that few people know this movie and other classics are better known than this one. I don't know what kind of generation you belong to, but I'm glad you're one of those few people who knows this movie, because as I said: "Few people know this movie " and I also belong to those few people who know it and love it too. Finally, it's not an insult, it's just my personal opinion.
@@graceeyler9846 Same here bro :(
Who’s here because of the Great Conjunction today?
Jim Henson was a visionary.
I loved The Dark Crystal. The Dark Crystal is a great cult classic Jim Henson film, Gary Kurtz did a brilliant job producing the film, and The Dark Crystal is the Muppets version of Team America: World Police. I also really love Team America: World Police from 2004.
Dark Crystal - Fantasy
Team America - Parody
Two different genres, while still using the same medium.
one of the best movies I've ever watched
This score is so beautiful, belongs with the best as dar as I’m concerned and I’m talking Bernard Herrmann, Mikkos Rozsa, guys like that 👌🏼👌🏼
It's 2024 and I'm still love that movie forever, sometimes I'm doing the Pod Dance😁👍🏻🇵🇭
Geez, the first four notes instantly take me back there
A new world for the intergalactic fleet to explore and make first contact
An absolutely fantastic film that took an eternity to finally air on British terrestrial TV.
💜💜💜
My best friend had a video tape of this movie, and I'd go over to her house to watch it so many times that her family must have been sick of me. Still one of my favorite movies ever! A+++ world building!
I'm hopelessly in love with this strange, otherworldly video.
Marivillosa película y preciosa música,la serie como fan y seguidor de este maravilloso mundo de Jin hensi. , espectacular, espero mi segunda temporada,
Sums up entire movie in less than 5 minutes...niiiice!
Awesome!
MELODIES
Ask most people about The Dark Crystal and they'll remember it as "scary" or "weird." Whereas Jim's devoted fans look at just about all his work and only see the beauty of it, no matter what it was, Dark Crystal or Muppets or anything. I finally figured out why Jim Henson's work was never quite a mainstream hit - his work rides the line between cute and dark/edgy. Even the Muppet Show had a certain edge to it.
Preciosa banda sonora
One of the greatest works in the fantasy genre, in any medium, and an incredible film experience. This film made me long for an adaptation of both "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Legend of Zelda" featuring similar realistic styled muppets, and if Henson himself cannot be involved, at least get the studio who continues his work to do it.
I have a dvd i love it , i just need to watched it again
I love the Dark Crystal so much you don't understand
