Salute from Germany, I think u sold me on that one.. What a blessing to see someone who's straight to the point with a Wonderful Positive Energy! Bless u my Man.
I would really love to see what kinds of add on’s you can put on this Nano tank like dosers and such. I’m very new to this hobby. I bought this set up two months ago, but I have not put it together yet cause I’m waiting to buy everything I need and still learning what I need to learn.
Really loved this video. Because I bought this system (haven’t set it up yet), but I hope you make another video where you show how to add like a small sump to this system like the Eshopps Nano Cube Sump. Not sure how to do it but I know I’d like to incorporate a small sump and refugium to my nano tank.
Red Sea Reefers have a true external sump, but don’t come with a skimmer, light or any pumps. They have a nano version of this too. That said, where there’s a will there’s a way, I’m sure. If you really want a refugium for the Max, I’d consider looking at a HOB option.
Great video as usual. I’m setting up my Reefer 170 at the moment. Is it ok to fill up the tank with cold RODI water and salt mix and then let the heater gradually bring the whole tank up to temp? I’m using live sand like in video and not sure if it needs to be heated first. Thanks
The light that came with my Red Sea nano max is the RSLED 50 running on the ReefBeat platform. The configuration given in this video is not the same for me. Can someone give me advice on what I should set my light to? I think I only have a blue and white and moon option.
why do you keep turning the eyepiece on the refractometer? I don't believe I have ever touched it, I didnt know if it does anything besides unscrew the eye cup does it?
BulkReefSupplyCom That kind of stinks in our weather there's no way we can run a tank without a small csxc-1. This guy would be perfect if you could fit in an extra pump in their. I wonder if you could use just the inline tank pump would be enough..
I installed a chiller on mine. You can fit a small pump (Eheim 1000) next to the rerurn pump and have both the outlet and inlet pipes between the ATO and skimmer.
We did not add fish, or coral to this tank until the cycle was complete. These videos shots were just for example. I would wait until you have completed your cycle to add corals, or fish.
Nice tank but Idk if it's $1k nice especially with the stand being pressed partical board and still not all in one since you still need to buy the sand, rock & heater.
Hello, I am writing to you from Spain. Your videos seem very interesting and educational to me. I would like to ask you a question... For a tank 30 centimeters high, 30 wide and 120 long, with soft corals and a mitras lightbar 2 actinic 120 screen, about 20 centimeters from the surface, what do you think would be the ideal configuration for my corals? I currently have the following values (11am to 21 pm): Blue: 100% Royal Blue: 100% Hyperviolet: 100% Red: 1% Green: 2% White 6500K: 10% White 8000K: 10% Intensity:100% Do you think it's okay? Would you modify the values? I would greatly appreciate your advice. A greeting.
Thank you for your reply. The problem is that I don't have a par meter. I have slightly modified the values. Hyperviolet: 100% Blue: 95% Royal blue: 94% White 6500k: 12% White 8000k: 12% Red: 1% Green: 2% Intensity: 95% Do you think 95% intensity is fine for my 12 inch high tank or I keep 100% for my mitras lightbar 2 actinic 120? Again thank you very much
Nice now show everyone how easy it is for beginner hobbyist's to totally destroy a nano reef tank because they are unable to manage the chemistry... Generally I like BRS and Red Sea but the content is a product sell hardcore and my two cents is if you are a responsible fish business you do not set ppl up with something that will cause them to fail, especially if you care anything for the animals
I really appreciate BRS and all that they do for the reefing community but I have to say Zodd has a point here. There should be some mention somewhere in the video about marine water chemistry complexity and the research required to manage it long term. Probably also a disclaimer that just because one can set up a SW nano, doesn't mean long term management is as straightforward. Come on BRS, you're better than this.
That's great and very lucky also most likely because you are switched on ;) and know how to control and look after things" sadly many are not and Nano's are not the place for them
I had a 2.5 gallon tank in the 1980's using only an undergravel filter. Anyone here old enough to remember those days? That tank lasted years with no problems. When I finally upgraded to a 20 gallon, I simply moved the inhabitants of the small tank to the larger tank. Yes, a little knowledge of water chemistry helps. Regular water changes are mandatory. Don't overfeed. But this hobby has come a long way in the past 30+ years. These all in one kits are a great start, far better than anything I had when I first started keeping marine animals.
As basic and introductory as this video is, happy to see some love being shown to the nano community!

This tank scratches extremely easy
Why, please? 3:25

Another a dream nano tanks, redsea always invent a good built-in in nano reef tank.. and now some brands also making this type of nano tanks 😁👍🏻
Where exactly in the sump do you recommend placing a heater? It's tight in there...
Question about adding a sump.
If you add one later down the line, can you still use the AIO back sump for the included skimmer?

is there space in the back compartment for a small refugium?
How about if I set up the refugium in the far-right rear compartment, under the ATO reservoir?
why do you keep turning the eyepiece on the refractometer? I don't believe I have ever touched it, I didnt know if it does anything besides unscrew the eye cup does it?
corey to focus
Would love one of those lights. I am redesigning Nano 15 gallon.
I envy you guys playing with all the possible equipments there are in the market :)
Love this tank, will be my upgrade from my Fluval Evo!
The pricing for these atm are around £650-700 which seems pretty excessive for the size. Does the included equipment justify the pricing?
there is a space to put a chiller pump at the back?

Great job. This will be helpful to a lot of folks
Is There any place for for example siporax ? Or its just running on carbon ? I cant find any information about it. :)
still need an anwser?
Is there a clear plastic cover to place on top to stop fish from jumping and less evaporation?
you said after a month add 1 or 2 fish but you already had corals in the tank. why do you add the corals?
We did not add fish, or coral to this tank until the cycle was complete. These videos shots were just for example. I would wait until you have completed your cycle to add corals, or fish.
What chiller would you use for these system
is this acrylic? i hear acrylic isnt so good for reef tanks=
Nice video, do you think the setup would need a lighting upgrade to keep SPS?
Diego Costa no
Going to buy one
What ato do you recommend for the Red Sea nano Max?
Nice tank but Idk if it's $1k nice especially with the stand being pressed partical board and still not all in one since you still need to buy the sand, rock & heater.
Yeah they don’t include the fish, corals and water either!
Nice setup. Love my reefer tank

That seems about right. From there, just use a par meter to dial in the intensity and adjust all light values down in equal ratio if needed.
Thank you for your reply. The problem is that I don't have a par meter. I have slightly modified the values.
Hyperviolet: 100%

Is there a way to get this tank with no auto top off? I’d rather use that money to buy sand and rock.
BulkReefSupplyCom ok, thank you!
How do you set the lights?
Thats a really nice tank
Is nutri-seawater all right for aquariums?
BulkReefSupplyCom
ok thanks
Another awesome video!
Why nano tank look like cloudy ?
These tanks were set up pretty quickly for this video series. The slightly cloudy water is likely due to the sand that was added
Where can we download the light schedule?
Yes, please provide us with the settings file. :)
This tank size
Total water volume is 20 gallons
love it
And a chiller... forgot a chiiler
This reminds me of a Biocube on steroids.. Ok... a lotta steroids.. Beautiful set up.
I like the idea of it's size...

As a newbie I agree. Mines a mess.
My first tank was a 20 gallon AOI. Had the tank for 3 years with not one crash. Never had an issue keeping my clams or coral happy.
That's great and very lucky also most likely because you are switched on ;) and know how to control and look after things" sadly many are not and Nano's are not the place for them

Occasional water change lol.
$900+
I think thats about right... considering my Bio cube was $400.. I can see another $500.
First
Why is every ad video on my RUclips feed from bulk reef supply? I don't even like fish or fish tanks!
Bite your tongue boy xD
