okay i’ve seen many people saying they dislike the way he’s singing but hear me out, he’s not an angsty teen still, he’s matured and so has his voice probably, and honestly, i don’t mind this version to much, but it’s not bad, not at all.
Yeah I get that his voice changed through the years but what bothers me personally is the constant use of vibrato (?), if it’s called like that. It sounds great in tbh&c but with older songs it just ruins the magic for moi.
I didn't care much for the song at all originally. I like this arrangement and it suits the lyrics much better. The band have matured. I can't wait for the new album to be released.

honestly not a huge fan of his new singing style (I've listened to it enough to know), hopefully he changes it up again soon. His singing after the drop halfway thru is much better.

@@majorerwinkonig5509 Good music doesn't mean complicated. When you reduce something to a few chords and few instruments, not a single part of the performance is allowed to fail, because it is much more noticeable when it does.
Imagine an orchestra: multiple types of every instrument, and multiple types of instruments playing in conjunction. If one violinist plays off-note, you may notice it if you were really paying attention, but most people wouldn't. The team holds up in case of the mistake.
If in 505 they played a D instead of Dm, you would have immediately noticed the difference. Because when there is less going on, every little bit matters.
You also have to make sure the sound speaks for itself. In the more simple arrangement, you have fewer tools at your disposal to invoke the emotion you want. That doesn't make the job of writing a good song any easier.
I wouldn't call 505 a "masterpiece". It's not pushing the boundaries of music, it's not doing something completely original.
But 505 is a great fucking song, because it does what it sets out to do in a great fucking way.
Is it just me who's enjoying his voice change? I think it completes this song perfectly.
I don't like it. He sounds drunk but in a bad way.
@@macaroni745 i'm in no way a music expert or whatever but with people growing up, their vocals change too; and i think this voice has settled in for good, meaning that the previous ones he had were just temporary. could be wrong tho idk i think it fits the sound they're producing.
