Remember, when you first arrived in Auckland, you didn't know anyone, didn't know where to live, where to shop etc. and you figured it all out. You will figure it all out in Van as well. Don't stress. Glad you are loving it so far.
Looks like you're all settling in nicely. That area looks beautiful. Don't worry you'll find friends. You guys are very nice and social so I'm sure you won't have problems. Remember you've only been there a short time. You're vlogs are great. Very interesting and you seem so much happier now we can tell. Good luck and take care
@@Becca.Loveless Of course, and while I know nothing of your personal situation and would never imply too, I can think of a few well around areas within the city limits you and most people may like. For example Coquitlam, because it has good schools, is connected well towards downtown by road access and public transport, and is still close enough to the mountains, located mainly in what is a relatively beautiful area, even by Vancouvers standards (not even to mention the constant high-rise and condominium construction in the past few years which has led to cheaper home prices and rent in the area).
If you haven’t yet, you should get out to Granville Island. But it’s best to go during the work week in the morning because it’s much more chill. It’s a fun place to bring kids because there is so much to see and a splash park.
Looks lovely there, thanks for the update Becca, at least you know what it's going to be like re finding new friends and familiar places to hang out. You've done it already in NZ so you're an old hand at it now, you and your family will thrive in your new home.
I've really enjoyed the last videos, it has been lovely to see your journey since you left NZ and Canada seems like a great fit for you! I found your channel when I was moving to NZ and have just recently relocated from Wellington to Christchurch so we have had to start so over again too! Hopefully it won't be long before you make some friends there and it feels more like home. Canada was on our list before we decided to move to NZ from the UK, so I'm really looking forward to seeing more of it! 🙂
Oh no!! 😭 at this moment I loathe moving and everything that goes along with it. I’m sorry you had to move as well! And I’m super excited to see more of Canada as well. I have a long list that keeps growing of places I want to see!
Becca, your vlogs have been great.I'm enjoying your adventures and seeing new places through your lens. Take care of YOU and be patient with yourself ❤
The newish houses there seem to have a lot more character than the boring boxes that spring up everywhere around Auckland these days. I didn't notice any graffiti in the video either, apart from a bit of unmown grass here and there it looks pretty tidy. The street trees are nice, as long as they don't hide street signs from view, like they usually do here. You're doing okay, it'll get better after a while.
It looks very nice 🙂 Have a wonderful time Loveless family! btw Becca, your children are delightful as ever. You might remember one of the first comments I ever made on your channel was about how especially charming William is.
I shop at Walmart, but you can't really generalize and say where all Canadians shop, because it depends on the person's budget and location. There's different grocery chains in different provinces/regions, plus a few national chains like the one you went to. I'm sure you'll settle into Vancouver just fine. You'll make friends once your husband gets more familiar with his work colleagues, and when the little fella starts daycare or junior kindergarten, because you'll meet other mothers.
It’s kind of a weird concept having so many stores here - NZ had such a monopoly on grocery stores. And I know we’ll get situated over time! I’m just not very patient at the moment 😂
I wonder if they have library story times that are for kids, which is how I met mums when I had a toddler. Also a good one is toddler music groups, which we joined in for one morning per week. We also used to pop to any local picnic spots which were usually at the river, and found mums and kids there
A promising future opens before you, it will also depend on you whether it is enriching or sad and poor. I am sure of the path you are going to follow. Good luck.

“Don’t stress” 😂😂😂😂🥲
A great update. Envious of that warm summer weather (from down here in New Zealand)
The weather is pretty perfect right now. We’ll see how I’m talking when it’s our winter here though 😳

It’s been hard trying to get everything sorted but very happy to be here!
Lovely to see the kids interacting and laughing together. You will create a great new life in Vancouver
It’s the sweetest thing to see!!
I'm really enjoying watching along in your new stage of life. All the best!
Ah thanks! I’m glad I’m not a perfectionist 😂 otherwise I wouldn’t be putting any of these movies out!
You’ll love it here, it can be rather expensive, but the nature, public transit access to a bustling job market, this city is so healthy for you
I’m looking forward to finding an apartment! I feel like once we get that I can start breathing normally again.

Thank you for this!! I’ll add it to my list with my tips!

I just want to close my eyes and wake up on the other side of all the hard adjusting and settling period 😅

Youll manage Becca, you're doing well.
Thanks! Things are finally really starting to settle down for us over here 😊

Thanks 🥰 life feels like a lot right now and I’m just doing my best to keep hurtling forward!

I’m excited to be bored!! And there’s so much to see here. Kind of insane how much, really. It’ll take me a long time to take in the city!
It looks very nice 🙂 Have a wonderful time Loveless family!

Aw! He’s such a good big brother already 🥲 I hope it continues!
Check out Capilano Suspension Bridge, very cool. And hiking in Deep Cove in North Vancouver.
Added both to my list!! Thanks 😊

All good ideas! I’m usually hanging around parks, and just got our library card two days ago 😊
Because of the location that I think you’re in, you should shop at No Frills, it’s the cheapest. You also probably have a saveway or save on near you.
So many stores! It’s quite a change to NZ where they had three grocery stores total 😅
Looks like a nice quiet neighborhood. Should help with calming down after the move.
That’s definitely what we need!
A promising future opens before you, it will also depend on you whether it is enriching or sad and poor. I am sure of the path you are going to follow. Good luck.
I’ll just let it all unfold and happen however it goes!
What kind of “very nice vlogging camera” do you use?
For this video we just used our phones. iPhone 12 minis. I use another camera sometimes, but haven't bothered charging it yet.
dont they have bears and wolves etc in Canada
Sure do! I’m not scared 😅
Do they have bears in Vancouver?
They sure do!
Next time ask the cashier and they will give you a car without a coin. I feel so bad for you not using a cart!
I thought about it but I couldn’t bring myself to 😂 so instead we suffered from my cowardice 😅
