Best not to boast. We have no idea how well these buildings are constructed. A sudden earthquake even a minor tremor might cause untold damage and suffering. The authorities concerned should have all the safety devices and importantly fire fighting vehicles operational at all times with adequate water points in place.
Indian government introduced a law years ago FSI( build HORIZONTAL buildings rather vertical building) Except Mumbai because it's surrounded by sea on 3 sides. Nothing to be proud of

Mangalore, no doubt one of the fastest developing cities in India. This city is modernizing rapidly and transforming into a metro city. The images you have shown here are not the actual pics of Mangalore. Mangalore has got many buildings of 20 & 30+ floors at present and 2 tallest buildings u/c. Both Westline Signature and Bhandary Vertica are 200+mtrs height buildings as per builders. Also, 2 skyscrapers are in the planning stage. Soon Mangalore will be called Dubai of South India.

You have clearly never been outside of Kolkata.
Watch the vids. on Delhi NCR (areas in Gurugram and Noida) and Hyderabad (Kokapet, Neopolis, Knowledge City, Hitech City, etc.), and then, tell me, why Kolkata is 3rd.
Hyderabad is just like "China level", in development and growth.
Also, Kolkata is genuinely losing that status of development, in the East of India, due to Mamata didi.

Its all about the geography makes a city to grow vertically when there is a high demand in a geographically restricted area, then city city will go higher. most of inland cities in India will not reach this situation any soon, even DEL, BLR, HYD started very recently in this segment. unlike MUM started to grow vertically way back due its geographical saturation.

No this cannot happen because Bangalore is growing horizontally and vertically also but below 150m and already have some scenic buildings that are already present here like the Brigade Gateway and is developing in metro connectivity around 314 km which will be completed by 2041. But is good in its own way 😊.
If the city has enough space to grow horizontally, it is not necessary to grow vertically. Vertical growth has a big disadvantage of population density.
Are you dumb? Vertical growth is a way to fix population density and give more space for wider and better roads.

Confining everything to Mumbai is not at all a healthy sign either for Mumbai or for India. India must adopt a uniform development theory so that development takes place all across the country. So far as Mumbai is concerned, it is a great city and I have always considered it as my second home. However looking at the other side of the coin the civic administration of the city is in doldrums and more or less clueless when it comes to management with an abnormally growing population. Traveling is a nightmare. And there are abysmal failures in so many other urban facilities there. Subjecting the city to further pressure is not going to any good to the city dwellers. Comparison between NYC and Mumbai is not fair. NYC is an extremely well managed city. Further NYC is not the sole business hub of USA. There are many more big business hubs in USA e.g Chicago, Houston, SFO, L.A., Seattle and so many more. India too should follow suit.
I think that will happen soon, especially with the new planned GIFT city in Ahmedabad, etc. but I agree with you, development, especially regarding skyscrapers, should be uniform across India
Banglore traffic is becoming more and more like Mumbai. Only Manglore is having some Development in Karnataka, even Mysore which used to be the capital of Karnataka is o left behind. Mysore doesn't even need planning anymore it has already planned infrastructure in every aspect but there's nonexistent IT, manufacturing. The government eats all the nice profit they make from tourism. It's in t2 city for the last 10 years and Mysore people come to Banglore for jobs. Let alone other cities they are not even paying attention to the most developable city in Karnataka.
