the problem is having "rules" for war. That absolutely makes no sense what-so-ever.

We tell our military that you cannot shoot until shot at!! Even though you see them carring AKs, grenade launches, ect!!

The military mindset is on display in full in this discussion. 🙁 Yet it’s informative. 🤓

This really misses the mark, it's a shame considering the caliber of the two guests. Once Iraq was conquered, and the regime decapitated, we had all the resources, personnel, and organization necessary to run it: Iraqis. The inexplicable replacement of Garner by Bremer, who never made a good decision was the problem. The United States Forces do not contain a Constabulary; therefore we cannot administer conquered territory, we are reliant on collaborating locals. As regards Afghanistan, conquer, and get out completely in 120 days. Either install the pre-existing government in exile, or the old king, but not some westernized jackass. The lesson is there for all to take in: we can get you anywhere, but we're not imperialists. As regards the future and the rest of the world, we spend to much for too little return.

Do you approve of the way the United States conquered Germany and Japan?

"you can't kill them all"......maybe you have to, if you have limited resources.....how big, how strong do you have to be to take on the burden of dealing with a hostile peace....

Our military is becoming the German one. Technologically advanced vs mass quantity. We have the one Panzer (aircraft carrier) where China has the 12 Sherman tanks

Another item of note. If you deny the enemy a well formed military to fight, they will find other targets. Usually local populace to inspire civil resistance, as well as false flag operations.

This is facilitating to listen to 13 years later. A Russian invasion of Ukraine never came up.

@Califacience Yes, that's exactly what we're saying. Such an act would have been an acknowledgment of reality: that we are in existential war for cultural survival.

units of fifty? then the Army would need to bring in about ten times the number of supply truck drivers... and escorts for said drivers... etcetc...

I always get frustrated listening to Peter Robinson's interviews. I'm always waiting for the guest to finish their thought but Peter is constantly cutting them off.
