I love ALL animals no matter big or small, baby or adult but there is something about baby hippos and baby rhinos that I simply cannot resist! So sweet!

She's keeps an eye on her baby. When you think she's not looking she's watching her baby.all females like that mammals.i remember when this woman had a new born and all the womens wanted too see right the mother kept her eye on all those womens in there seeimg the baby in the crib and she kept a close eye out for that woman who didn't like her too much .so ladies be careful when bringing over too see your baby

hippos are cute but they are the most dangerous animal in the wild nobody messes with hippos not lions or alligators they kill more people than any other predator, but in captivity they love being pampered and taken care of

Too much concrete for the animals, & too little space for their freedom.....
Indoors is concrete so they can heat the building if needed. Hippos tend to just stay in the one territory too.

Modern zoo care has nothing to do with captivity.
WHAT???!!! Of course it has everything to do with captivity! These babies are cute but it IS sad to see them in cement - no matter how nice you are to them, you are still holding them captive. About the 4 minute mark to the end - looks like a flooded jail cell, very depressing and very sad. Still the baby is cute - but what will you do with her when she's bigger and not so cute? Breed her? Sell her? Whatever - it will be YOUR choice, not necessarily hers.
