"To be an effective peacemaker you have to be prepared to go to war." That's an incredibly profound statement George which applies to so many different facets of life. I've always felt that was the best approach to most things. 👍
I just wanted to make a comment about MCs having issues with each other and eventually "go to war". This is from the view of a kid who was wise beyond his years and picked up on things that most kids would not. No matter what people think what's right or wrong about raising kids this is my story and I have no hard feelings towards my parents or mostly my dad. My dad has been part of a MC since his return from Vietnam in 1972. From the pictures of him I have seen before he left for Nam are not even close to who he became. I would see huge loads of drugs being dropped off and picked up from our house and also a lot of consumption. I remember being probably 6 years old and being told you never talk about anything you see to anyone. You never snitch on anyone and never trust the police. We do our own policing. My dad is 6'3" 265lb retired steel worker. He was very menacing and he didn't just talk the talk he walked the walk. The club he helped start only had two chapters with about 200 members and every one of them was nuts. My dad was chapter president for at least 15 years or maybe more. He was very much respected and he knew when to talk things out or when to knock people out. Anyways, there was an incident that happened with another well known MC that has been around since the late 60s. It was total bullshit and really a misunderstanding but it all came to ahead at a campground one day when they were on a run. Most runs ole ladies are not allowed to come but this particular one they were. The other club had ole ladies with them but when they came rolling in the campground where my dad and his club brothers were staying and they didn't have any women with them he knew what time it was. It turned into a battlefield there and any civilians couldn't leave fast enough. The cops showed up in force very quickly and arrests were made on both sides. So after that this tit for tat bullshit started and my dad being president made him a prime target. I was young and I was not told hardly anything at the time only what I absolutely needed to know and it was club business. Do you think with this shit going on my dad would stay at home and out of sight? Hell no. I would watch him put on a bullet proof vest, a 357 magnum in a shoulder holster under his colors, he wore a belt made out of a HD primary chain, a huge knife on his side, and spiked rings and spiked wrist bands that covered his whole forearms. Sorry I'm dragging this out but I'm trying to paint a picture of what I saw and experienced. There would be times a prospect would sit at our house armed while my dad went out and other times it was me a 11 or 12 year old with a 12 gauge that was told if anyone tries breaching that door you shoot them right through it. I have to admit I was terrified and it wasn't difficult staying awake until 2-3 in the morning waiting for your dad to return home. When he was around I wasn't scared of anything. The point I'm trying to make is not just the members go through a lot of bullshit of MCs warring with each other but it affects their family as well. Im not crying about it or blaming anyone because it is what it is. That's the life he chose after I was born. I can flash back to this day and remember how scared I was that someone was going to try and come to our house and kill us. My brother is in a large 1% club and I have been asked to prospect several times by both the club my dad rides in and my brother's. I had just become a father and I had to politely decline. I grew up with my dad gone all the time doing his thing, which I don't hold any resentment, and my mother threatening to take my brother and I and leave about every other month. That lifestyle can take a toll on family life real easy. If you were single without kids or have a really down ole lady then that's different. There are people I grew up with whose dad's were in the club as well and some don't even talk to their dads to this day because they play the victim and say they are all fucked up because of them. I still hang around with people from several clubs and many of those people have known me forever and I love them like the family they are but that's just not for me. That and my ole lady would have taken the kids and left me for sure.
I really enjoy your stories. I would like to hear you talk about some of the most FUN things you did as a member. What really made you enjoy the freedom you felt in being a HELL'S ANGEL? Thank you.
Depth and details in these stories is epic! Only been ushered down a dark hallway once. Scared me to death! Top Marks on your caution and continuing to the room! Was accused of running my mouth but became apparent i wasn't the talker
I saw a picture of Hells Angels in a issue of Life Magazine when I was the ripe old age of 10. Only recently did I learn that two guys in the photo was FU and Doug the Thug. I took that picture out of the Magazine and put it on my bedroom wall. Every time my mother looked at it,she would shake her head.
I had the same Picture my friend. I believe a was also 9 or 10, just turned 68, I also had it on my desk. My mom said they looked like pirates 🏴☠️ lol.
thanks for all the insights into the outlaw motorcycle world. all the flicks of the late 60s, hunter s thompson's book, and a few actual bikers we knew were our only glimpses into that lifestyle. we built bikes in the late 60s (boston area) but the truth was simply, we never had enough bikes on the road to even think about clubs. ha ha... our view was hopelessly storybook... very interesting.
Thank you for making RUclips a place where your videos are found. It is surprising to hear the club has been tolerant of members drifting in and out without regular church attendance 😔 It defies the idea that membership has requirements
Did you have any input on expanding outside of California? Meaning the expansion to the first Nebraska in 1966. Thank you for these videos. I love hearing the history of clubs, especially 81.
Yo.....thanks for the clarification on the quarry story George. It was sounding like the ole, 'three can keep a secret' thing. Keep the vids comin brutha man. MLHR
Hi George, I was wondering if you could talk a little bit about your VP in 1999. I grew up with his brother's back in the late 70s thru the mid 80s. Use whatever his moniker was, I'll know who you're talking about. I'd just like a little info on D during his time spent in Ventura.
I don't know too much about Outlaw motorcycle Club politics but I do believe that fighting amongst yourselves is counterproductive and plays right into the cops agenda solidarity and Brotherhood Brotherhood always wins out
George in the last video about meeting taco you mentioned meeting with the pagans a few times, could you talk more about that and your dealings with them
George / maybe u could touch upon the feud between FRISCO & Oakland over I believe which chapter was gonna be the Mother Chapter , late 60’s or early 70’s !! Also maybe talk a little bit about the RED & WHITE running the Gypsy Jokers out of the Bay Area!!!! I am 72 & these 2 things happened when I was very young growing up in S. F. Thank U George / & keep up the great work / God Bless / 👍🙏👊🦅🏍☠️⚡️😎
Hey, george. I'm new to motorcycle riding and i was wondering if you had any tips and tricks for riding or just motorcycles in general. Thanks, and keep up the great vids❤
It's crazy, to me, to want to be a part of something so bad & that something has you constantly looking over your shoulder. I prospected for Mayhem & it didn't take long before I realized being in an M.C. is anything but freedom.
There's still one club I haven't heard you mention yet and that is the Gypsy Jokers. What was the Hell's Angels general perception of them while you were in the club? Do you remember when the two clubs eventually became friendly with each other? And if so, did you have any part in that? Much respect from the Northwest 🙏
Right?.....I've requested he gets into that too. It's an unusual way of dealing with club politics. (giving a club a whole state as to not come back to yours) I live around a buncha old pranksters. Was hoping he'd get more into them and Gut Turks evolution from full patch to Prankster.
George, did the war up in Canada with the angels and the rock machine/ outlaws affect the club in the U.S.? What was thought about the lenoxville? Massacre when the angels took out fellow angels?
I’m fascinated with outlaw biker culture and it’s significance with fashion for the world I’m into being in a rock band maybe you could give us some examples and some insight into how biker culture has influenced the attitudes and fashion inside the music industry
Does anybody know of any literature or commentary from the side of the Mongols? This is very interesting would like to hear their take on it.. Thanks George these stories are great!!
Hey Gus, This vid made me think , and maybe you can tell me what was behind the ousting of the Vallejo charter and at the same time The Nomads and Buck Garrett were out of American Canyon at the time , and Oakland kicked out Kanak and all the Vallejo full patch members and The Nomads took off to the out of American Canyon , and I'm not sure how many Nomads lost their patch , but I'm curious why they got ran off . The 3 prospects were left and Frisco Gary and Wayne Puchanelli transfered over from Frisco to keep the Vallejo charter alive.
Power play my man, by Sonny himself. Vallejo, as you know was no joke. And nobody was going to tell the Vallejo Nomads which rules they had to follow. Especially from Sonny. But Sonny used the Terry Dalton “thieving” from the Oakland club house storyline to summon the President…Kanack (my father) down to the Oakland clubhouse. Sonny felt that the Vallejo Nomads had thumb their nose at Sonny for not following his mandate on their continuation of associating with Terry after he was accused from stealing from the Oakland clubhouse. In the end Sonny believed the Vallejo Nomads were getting too powerful so he used the Terry Dalton excuse to get oust my father, and three other family members.

you have to be known for violence.
it's an old concept. there's a Latin phrase - si vis pacem, para bellum, meaning - if you wish for peace, prepare for war.
I was always a Peace Maker, until it wasn't time. I would try everything and if all else failed, then I always got the 1st punch in.
Kind of like saying , dont talk the talk unless you can walk the walk
