on your advice i purchased these grills (front and bottom) in advance of my 2024 delivery (March). And now you've shown me/us how to install, marvelous !
I just got through with mine using your video to help. My brake duct was a major pain to install. What I had to do was not just hook the outside first and push until the inside long hook would reach around I had to use the tool I had handy to actually push the long one and sort of bend and extend it before it would reach. There is no way to just push the grill back that far itself. Once I figured that out the other one wasn't too hard. These look much better than expected on my black G87. I'll try to get pictures in the morning.
Have CF lower intake grill inserts that IND makes sells for side and center lower intakes. Want these but feel they may scar the CF and detract from the look. Thoughts?
@@BMWDIYGuyI have just put the other screens on - thanks for the vid - but would love to see something fromBMW re the sensor and if it is better to cut out a section.
@2:18 : Honestly, whether you protect that black paint and don’t matter in a long term or short term, your used car value will stay the same in the future also you won’t be able to tell if there’s a scratch or not. The real only way to protect your car from little tiny scratch is buy the car and keep inside of your garage and make sure don’t ever drive at all 😅😅
@@BMWDIYGuy : It’s all cool. I mean I would do the same of what you doing… however I do it for appearance. Anyways, I love all your videos. As a BMW guy myself, I just want to watch your videos to see the new gadgets. Thank you.
@@BMWDIYGuy just to confirm, the radar cruise control would not work correct? I just saw a commenter below ask the same question a month ago and you stated it did work. Just want to make sure before ordering. Sorry for the trouble.
GF Just bought a new M2 and BMW makes us finish their job. Still scratching my head on this one. Makes absolutely no sense to leave the radiators exposed.
@richardburns9772 there are many reports of "$1800 rocks" in G87s as they take road debris into the radiators. Its why CSF, Mishimoto and others sell rock screens for their radiators. It's why these screens work so well, fit perfectly and sorry to Deshawn, don't rub at all.

Well done!!
Perhaps I need to try this approach. Thanks
Thanks for the video. Dod you also install the bottom radiators cooler underneath?
@EastWood2004 yes.. it's like a 90 second install and worth it. I have a seperate video up for that.
It would help a lot if you showed on your videos what the product looks like on the car from a distance.
Shots on the website, Instagram and more, but you are right on more pics soon

@@mdrobc13 the screens are very secure and not seen any scratches
Thanks for the great content. Who do you recommend in Seattle area for exhaust upgrade work on G87?
I can help depending on what you need! Just shoot me an email
Will radar cruise control still work through the mesh if equipped?
Yes, they tested that with no issues.

Don't forget the protective mesh for the oil cooler at the bottom
@idianmansjur2673 absolutely and is a great product

Good point, but these also prevent a $1500 rock hit and bleeding coolant on the road. A number of folks have already reported that, so worth skipping.

would this work with Active Cruise Control as well? Was not sure if the mesh would interfere with the sensor in the front.
They have tested and it doesnt

@@BMWDIYGuy got it and thank you!
It's been on my list of things to add to my Mini
I had a set on a previous car survive a deer strike! They are amazing
Quanto costa il kit esclusa la manodopera ovviamente da spedire in Italia? Grazie.

These screens are worth it, won't run without them
What’s it going to protect you from, a leaf? Also, not a tight fit so it gonna be rubbin your trim like Deshawn Watson’s massage team.

Screen isnt fine enough to block $1,800 rocks. 🪨
The outer centre ones are a real bitch to fit. I gave up, the hooks just not long enough
Sorry for the trouble and it did take some effort, but I was able to get mine to reach.
Just did it today, took a few tries but got them to hook. Just be patient 🙏🏻
