I know. I also managed to port the Level Geometry of Erwins Fortress and Dungen Gunden from Pac Man World 3 into Super Mario Galaxy 2, both levels combined into a single one. It was difficult, cause I had to use Ninja Ripper to extract the models from PMW3 on Dolphin, part by part, then carefully merge every section together in Blender, fix some missing geometry, and create a simpler model for the .kcl collision. Still need to figure out how to recreate the shading from PMW3, especially for Erwins Fortress, as it looks weird with just grayed textures.
The background is from Slimy Spring Galaxy, but most of the assets of this level are actually from Tall Trunk Galaxy. Not in this video, but I actually managed to port models from Pac-Man World 2 (and even models from Pac-Man World 3, like the geometry of Dungen Gunden) into Galaxy 2.
While I did recognize the music, it took me until reading the description to see that it was a level recreation. I was too mesmerized by the background. In PMW2, you are just in the treetops of fairly normal-sized needle trees, but here, you move inside the lush foliage of humongous leaf trees with only glimpses of the outside sunset sky. Someone else compared it to Slimpy Spring and I can see why. It has that same tranquil, yet surreal nature vibe going for it.🤤You sure stumbled on some gold here.
God I wish more people made SMG2 mods. I don't even care if they are bad or mid (not that I'm saying this level is bad. It looks great), I just wish people cared more about either Galaxy game.
I don't think that is possible because the Mission Select screen isn't a level at all, unlike the Title Screen of both games, the AstroDomes from SMG1, the WorldMap from SMG2, or the Credits from SMG2.
I know it seems stupid, but could you add some type of "cosmos collapse" version where the theme is blackholes in some random spots here and there. I don't know why I'm asking, it just seems more entertaining that way. Pac-man World 2 was the bomb, I haven't heard that music in a LONG ass time.
The level already have a small Black Hole, but it is just to prevent a Blue Screen softlock that could happens if the PullBackArea fails. (The PullBackArea is the bubble thing in the Comet Observatory when you fall.)
@@Gowther1999 But wait, where is it then? I didn't see it anywhere in the video, so is it under all the leave textures or is it near the top somewhere?
I actually added a few stuff to the level after the video. I may improve the level in the future, along with Treewood Forest, in which I ported several tree models from Pac-Man World 2.
But one of the roadblocks of recreating PMW2 Levels in SMG2 is that the majority of the levels in PMW2 are geometry based, and there isn't a way to extract those models from that game unlike in SMG1 and SMG2.
The level can be downloaded here: bit.ly/41Mjrj9
WHY ARE U SO UNDERRATED? Seriously, you deserve more views and subs.
Thanks.
This level made me happy when I was a kid.
This is super cool. I played pacman world 2 a lot as a kid
Me too.
FINALLY, SOMEONE ACKNOWLEDGES PAC-MAN WORLD 2 AND ITS AMAZING LEVELS!

Pac-Mario World 2. That's a lot of foliage in the background...it looks like Slimy Spring Galaxy and Wild Glide Galaxy had a baby.

What a wonderful homage to the original level! That song is one of my favorites from PMW2 😊
Hell yeah
A Pac-Man World 2 reference dude??? COME ON LFG
I wanna see, Pac-Village Galaxy!
Really nice level!

I going to start my dream to create my own mario galaxy but I have admin permission on my pc😢 and I don’t now how to start Java
Nice level man!
this is great!
I really wonder what happene if you die and get a game over in the star select or mission select
I don't think that is possible because the Mission Select screen isn't a level at all, unlike the Title Screen of both games, the AstroDomes from SMG1, the WorldMap from SMG2, or the Credits from SMG2.
Giant Goombas in the tree is cool, but a lot of these jumps are web based platformer style mush
nice!
Very cool 👍
Cool Video

@@individualpain It is very close to the beginning, hidden behind some leaves.
This is a picture of that Black Hole inside the Blue Circle. imgur.com/vTRaN4B
The level looks great, but it's pretty barren when it comes to enemies.

Is it pronounced b-doyng or bee-doo-ing?
I'm not sure, but I believe that is b-doo-ing.
@@Gowther1999 makes more sense, considering what's in the level
You should make a full rom hack
I don't have plans for a full hack yet.
@@Gowther1999 Well, it would be great if you made one, this level is looking very promising!
