A very nice video and beautiful results!! What a great dream to travel and brazing all around the world! This gas fluxer seems to work really great! Very inspiring 👏
At 2:47 you show the inline gasflux. This is simply brilliant. Your nose is less than a foot from the brazing. You may want to consider not breathing any of the fumes that this brazing process produces. Apart form the rods which can contain undisclosed small percentages of lead, the zinc fumes and the new gas flux which contains Trimethyl borate, Acetone and Methanol, may not be exactly fresh mountain air for your lungs. Id you read the MSDS of the gasflux, you'll appreciate that taking precautions may improve your life....
For serious top end brazing such as WRC roll cages, the TIG process is favoured now. Less heat into the material being joined, little or no cleanup as no need for dirty and corrosive flux, and lower cost as no need for fuel gas, or gas fluxer equipment, if production work is being done.
@@stubbycuts Have a look at the HAZ on a gas brazed joint, and compare it to Tig brazed. They also use Tig brazing to make race car suspension parts. Was told about various things Tig brazing is used for, by a guy who supplies specialist materials to aircraft and race car industries.
Hey buddy, I’ve tried using a sif product in the past with not great adhesion results. I havnt explored stainless further for about 10 years, things have may moved on. I suggest speaking to Sif products for there latest advice on stainless joining rods. Cheers

Not sure if it’s less heat? They would both be at the melting point of the joining material when brazing? Not seen a brazed WRC cage in my time..
