Just trying to clarify: I called and asked about getting a slide cut done for an Aimpoint Acro P-2 because I was having trouble on the website. Customer service told me it has to be an optic GlockStore sells online. 6:07 "We do the slide cuts for every optic." Which is correct?
Sent my Gen 5 Glock 19 slide off and did the slide cut/optic purchase through the Glock Store. Received the slide back within a reasonable time. I had to wait longer for Safariland to send me the RDS holster I ordered! All the fellas at the shop are impressed with the work too. If you're on the fence about pulling the trigger on this, just do it. Far better than having the MOS versions and having to deal with mounting plates in my opinion.
I'm in CA and mine was done and back to me super quick...challenge met. When you call they tell you it will probably take longer but the reality is it didn't
I love my holosuns. I have to go with just the dot tho because with the circle on to there was just to much going on and i was allot slower. I got a 19 and a 26 i need to send in and get cut so I'm going to look into that but it just gets expensive when you don't already have the optic.
bought a brownells slide made by zev slide cut front serrations for 200 bucks made to oem spec, 3 days it got to me and no time having to be without my slide
I don't know what's with this Lenny guy. He has a memorizing gift that make me watch him even though I have enough Glocks and accessories, I don't need anything from him.
Gonna send my G45 once I get a chance to shoot it a little more. It's a recent purchase and I love it. A weapon light and an optic will make it perfect.
Im just wondering why, at a price point of almost 600$, a gen 5 glock is not already milled for red dots? Glocks are nice but honestly now a days other pistols are just as reliable, more affordable, and optic ready right out of the box
I got my glock cut and came back a little rough but on time. Installed a romeo zero and the right screw hit the ejector spring. It prevented the round from loading and ejecting. I shaved it down a little and fixed the problem. Just letting you all know. Love the Glock Store!!!! Love their products and service!!! Have a great day!!! Stay safe!!!
I had a bad experience using this service on my Glock 19 (Gen 3), The slide was returned with in a timely manner but with the following issues: (1) the installation plate was lose and obviously not screwed down tight, which should have been caught by the installer and quality control inspector; the red dot and plate wobble; (2) the Trijicon iron sights recommended by customer support to co-witness a shot with a Holosun 509T X2 installed are obviously to short to co-witness a shot with this red dot installed; (3) the red dot has wear marks that should not be present on any new red dot, like it has been his holstered or laid on a hard surface. I have been a very big fan and customer of Mr. Magill and the GlockStore he has built for all of us who shoot Glocks and want the very best equipment for our protection and the protection of our friends and family. He has done which a great job and his RUclips videos are so helpful. I have reached out to customer support and am hopeful that prompt corrective action will be taken to correct these problems. I will post a follow of my experience working with customer service.
Update. I received a shipping via email to return the slide, optic, and suppressor height sights back free of charge to me-good thing. Got confirmation via tracking number that the items arrived at the GlockStore on a Monday but have never heard back from anyone despite three email requests for an update-not a good thing. I finally called and was told my order was corrected and on his desk and would be shipped to me in a day or two, which was 3 days ago-frustrating. It has now the.9th business day since the GlockStore received my shipment for creative action, which is a total of 19 business days and running since the GlockStore received my slide for installation of the red dot and suppressor height sights recommended by the Glcokstore expert-not a good thing. I understand that sometime s@it happens and destines cannot be met despite good faith effort. Update to follow, when I receive my order back with the proper corrective action and in good shooting order.
Received my slide back on business day 19, but they overlooked the iron sight issue. Contacted them and they offered to take care of it, which is great but more delay. I am doing some of my own research about the best iron sights to cowitness a shot with Holosun 509T-GR X2 on a Glock 19 (Gen 3). I would advise anyone who plans to use the service to do their own research and double check customer service recommendations. My overall impression is that the shop is competent but is under intense time pressure to meet the 10 business day return promise and may need to implement a quality control process where 2 or more individuals look over every order and customer correspondence before shipping back to customer to avoid the kind of issues that I experienced. With those things in mind, I will, probably be sending some of my other Gen 3 Glocks in for the slide cut, optic installation, and cowitness iron sight installation. I have done business with the Glockstore on a couple of other occasions without any issues.
Hello. First, I love your channel and I find your energy an articulation one of the best for gun channels. This may be a silly question, but does the Glock Store do red dot milling for non Glock pistols? I am assuming you only do Glocks but I thought I would ask. Also, can you share your honest opinion on the Romeo Zero optic compared to the Holosun? I know it isn't as sturdy, but other than that, I am interested in the quality of the dot. My eye sight isn't what it used to be either so please keep that in mind :)
Just bought an RDO and I’m torn between this service or just buy a new slide. Why is the cut $200 for a G19 Gen 3? I can buy a whole new slide optic ready for that price.
I've got a G23 Gen. 2 and don't see a lot of stuff for the early model. Is most of the Gen 3-5 stuff gonna work on my old Glock (1990)? Specifically, the slide and Holosun mod? Also, doesn't milling the slide (and reducing the weight) increase the muzzle "flip" a bit...especially with hot .40 loads? Or does the optic weight offset the slide milling? Thanks Lenny, love the videos!
If you don’t wanna mill your slide. There’s adapter plates that slide into your rear sights and you mount the optics on top of the adapter. I just ordered a dpp plate and a vortex venom for my Gen3 23
My buddy got a g17 mos and I think he got a venom but it doesnt co-witness with his sights. It sits so high it wouldnt even co-witness with suppressor height sights. I tried it and I loved it but I'm on the fence about getting one cuz id want one that has my sights just barely visible at the bottom. I'm not sure which kind I would want to get for that
Called the Glock store today and they said they could sight in my dot as well generally at 5 yards. Wondering how you’re actually able to sight it in without shooting the firearm? Sending in my 19 gen 5 as soon as my dot comes in the mail. Thanks
Glock 19G5- If I get this milled for the Holosun 507C, can I maintain my rear site? Or do you have to cut it off? If I want to keep it and have the section in front of it milled, is this when I select "co-witness"?
I have a CZ orange 2 can I send it to have it optic milled I would buy the optic within the store too. For it to comeback already mounted 👍 What’s the model of the holosun cirlcle and dot Thanks

I’m sorry but I did exactly what the instructions for shipping to have my 43x milled. Stephen Kellberg in shipping emails me that the USPS box arrived with an open end and no slide! My response was I purchased insurance, please send me pictures of the box and damaged end. His response was there was nothing to take a picture of. 6 weeks later I have zero recourse with USPS without the information that ever shipper should retain, especially a firearm component. Clearly a light slide shipped in a USPS box did not open itself. Wonder how many items go missing when you have Glockstore on the address. Tell Stephen thanks for his hard work.
I'm thinking of buying a Riton MPRD x3 vers.2 which has auto on/off & auto brightness for under $200! However, it has the RMS/C Footprint. The website shows unavailable or not an option after I choose my G19X to be milled..
I wanna send my G19X in for an RMR Cut but I have my own 2moa ADE Raptor Micro Dot w/ shake awake, etc. Will you guys zero? Keeping my stock Glock Night Sights on
Do suppressor iron sights get in the way of the red dot? I’m thinking of getting them as a back up. I’m not sure if I should keep the stock sights or get suppressor sights.
How is the visibility of the Holosun in bright noontime light? Also, how close are the cuts to the MOS specs? Lastly, I want to use backup tritium sights... can the Holosun be adjusted to cowitness the front sight with the rear? Thank you, I'll be sending a G20 Gen 4 sooner rather than later!
The Holosun can be set to auto adjust or manually adjust the brightness of the reticle. Our cut are far deeper than the MOS due to the fact that you don't need a plate to adapt to your particular RDO. to cowitness, you still need suppressor hight sights, in fact, we are releasing a video today about this exact topic! stay tuned!
Really thinking about getting the swampfox green circle dot......but you can't change it to just a dot.... So it's an all in thing, and I haven't used it on a pistol before, love that reticle on riffles though!
I've got the Swampfox Kingslayer with the circle dot. The reticle grows the further you hold it away from you, so on a rifle (currently have mine on a PCC) it's great, but on a pistol, for my arm length, the circle starts to be too big for the window. That being said, I am probably going to put that same optic (circle dot) on all my pistols going forward. Even when the ring expands beyond the window, you can still see the central dot.
I’d like a Holosun 407K on my Glock 19 gen 3. I know that’s an optic for a compact, but it’s the only one that has a single 6 MOA dot. When you mill, do you include mounting lugs for the optic’s footprint, or drill and install pins in the optic mounting points to keep it from moving? Many shops just mill it flat, cerekote it and drill/tap screw holes. Thanks!
What if I just have it cerekoted recently I don’t see a option for that but a upcharge for bronze I want graphite or only the cut area blued?…I want to keep my coating still on to keep rust protecting I sweat a ton
Are you running a red dot on your handgun?
