I was glad for the hug scene. We, as his friends, could tell him it wasn't his fault until we were blue in the face. He heard it from who he needed to hear it from the most in order to get the closure he needed. I love that they added Urianger trembling and that his normally flowery speech became more and more plain as more of his emotions bubbled to the surface. It's details like those that add to a character and really sell a scene.
It's amazing how Urianger went from the Scion no one liked and did nothing of note to one of the most fleshed out and near-universally beloved members of the cast.
The acknowledgment of Moenbryda and having it have this bittersweet approach to the narrative was both satisfying and incredibly sad. I’m just glad they never forgot.
This scene never fails to make me tear up, and if you ask why it does... "The poems and platitudes of wiser men. Musings of sadness and loss... Studied and memorized...and meaningless in the moment." This scene comes together from so many threads that I cant pick out why it makes me feel the way I do. God I love this scene.
No matter how hardened the player is who haven't cried after all the tragic scenes thus far, this seems to be the one to cause them to shed at least one tear. 😢
13:40 "This woman is doing better than you are." That's a mood. 25:15 Urianger stuttering? The end truly has come. 29:00 Remember before we returned from the moon Urianger told the loporrits of a friend he had when he was a boy who would pepper him with questions while he read? All the pieces of the story buffalo. 31:46 And mood ruined. ^.^ Most intense whiplash since La Hee amirite?
That Scene, along with a certain flappy bird's scene in ShB get me every single time, and I've been through the MSQ like 4 times. Sniffles. Every. Time.
Imagine that letter. A once-new sheet of parchment, stained dark with the shadows of long-shed tears. Handwriting they might have known, nigh-illegible. As though each word were penned in the precious moments between shudders and sobs. No words were needed. The pages themselves told the tale of tragedy. And so they grieved. Apart, yet together as one.
This game. 😭 This game. 😭 There are few pieces of media in this world that get much of an emotional reaction out of me. Happy, humored, anger, or sad. But every time I see any scene from this game, Endwalker especially. I can never not cry my eyes out. 😭😭
I like how the Scions casually have Alphinaud and Urianger, two people that could have very easily been villains - Urianger ironically akin to the Ascians, and Alphinaud like some sort of politician who sees humanity at a dead end and guides them “to a better tomorrow”.
@@iantaakalla8180 Urianger did "work" with the ascians after all, and it´s a common thought that Elidibus and Alphinaud are surprisingly alike, an observation that was only strengthened with the Pandaemonium questline.
they still didn't fixed the BGM shit during this quest line!? Do they think this is a good idea? First time I heard this is like is this a bug or something but they still didn't fixed it!!!?
They did this in shadowbringers too. It's not a bug it's just a decision they made. Personally not a good change this song kinda melts your brain after the 5th loop

Listen, I don't need any help crying at this scene.

I practically forgot the whole bunny part… except the hug part.
Happy happy fun times followed by gut punch of emotions.
Sounds about right.
I'm honestly surprised they haven't already gone back to change up when/where that song repeats. It really is a bit much.
There's are moments that I am glad that I am deaf 😅
irascible: easily angered
i think if you don't have an emotional reaction to this you might be a psychopat
tbh i hated urianger until patch shadowbringers
I did too. I was very skeptical of him because of all of the prior expansions.
