Hyvää päivä Englanissa ! I can offer some more information on the Leopard/Lahti coach. The engine is a Leyland 11.1-litre horizontal O.680 type of 150 horsepower. The red lever on the left is the switch for flashing direction indicators, with horn push switch at the end. On the right is the 5-position selector switch for the Leyland semi-automatic planetary gearbox, in this case with four speeds forward and one reverse. There was a five-speed and reverse option. It is great to drive !

We used to have those as suburban route busses here in Adelaide, South Australia, complete with the same preselecter gear box, I never realised they were 4 cylinder, no wonder they struggled with hills with 70 or so teenagers crammed in them.
Thanks for your comments. The button on the floor is the foot operated dip switch. No exhaust brakes in Leopards. The front and center door buttons are on the right side of the gear switch.
Hi Vbusiarz, Are you sure ? When I was in training at Leyland in 1967, the vertical O.680 engine for trucks would give 180 (a good one) ! The published maximum of 200 horsepower but it never exceeded 192 bhp in production. I have researched this question with friends in the Leyland Society. British practice was to quote gross horsepower of 1,014 metric hp, so 192 UK bhp was equal to 195 mhp. The West German truck and bus industry used DIN 70 020, meaning net mhp at the clutch. The button in the floor might either be the stopswitch or high/lowbeam in the headlamps. Some danish built leyland buses had two buttons in the floor. Better step on the right one :)

That's a nice old bus. I wish busses still looked this nice these days, they all look like boring white kitchen appliances now

Straight six 680 cubic inch, or around 11.1 litres, normally rated at 150 bhp, very under stressed
Not a 4 cylinder, although I know the intake manifold would suggest it is
Its the airhorn that you see. Either that, or stopswitch. My Autosan-H9-21 has a stopswitch on the rightside, but a airhorn in the left.
