Chad Hastings Yes there is a pvc cap on the bottom of the pipe. The pump is fully enclosed by the pvc so no there is no trash that it collects. The normal waste that occurs from the bait is trapped into the two filters that sit above the pvc. 1 course filter and 1 fine foam filter.

Johnny Cecil the pump is a simple rule brand 500 gph bilge pump. The Carbon stones can be bought at any pet store with aquarium supplies.
do u have a cap below the pump? and does it suck up junk from the bottom?

Sorry typo. The filters sit above the pump (not pvs) and inside the pipe.
