For those of you who grew up with Don Bluth films in the 80s and 90s. Update: The song has been removed since the video was blocked elsewhere. Clarence is owned by Cartoon Network.
Woah this really unlocked a lost memory, this was wonderful. I'd have watched a whole series with these characters, it is so wonderfully creative yet also pays homage to Don Bluth marvelously.
This is what i love about clarence the show makes alot clever references to popular movies tv shows and video games cartoon network shows tend to have few references but this was the first one to do it in such a clever way!
Ngl, it's weird seeing how the rough animation for all of this is way closer to Don Bluth's art than the final results. It's like the whole job of making it fluid was completely obliterated by the clean and color department. I understand they probably were mandated to make it more in line with Clarence's usual artstyle.... but seeing something more traditional and overwhelmingly fluid would have been a lot more fun.
Wait, it's reminds The secret of NIMH ( especially because of that squirrel girl ) and the song looks and sounds like the song from The Beauty and the Beast when Gaston and the villagers go to kill the Beast.
Speaking of Beauty and the Beast, did you know that Don Bluth had his own idea and version of Beauty and the Beast? If only he got the chance to make it, then we could've seen what his version would've been like.
Watership Falls Well, not exactly but he did told me about his years at Disney before leaving to start his own studio. I did heard that Don Bluth's Jawbreaker project was going to be a special for television I think. Bluth also told that The Secret of NIMH (an all time favorite film of mine) is Bluth's personal favorite work. He's more into the fantasy genre they say.
It's like if Don Bluth animated Adventure Time.
@BOBA2763Oh god
@@Taoddddd There's James Baxter.
@@Tinyironfist huh
@@Taoddddd He voiced a horse version of himself.
@@Tinyironfist okay
I was definitely one of those kids who grew up on Don Bluth films. This is one of my favorite episodes of Clarence.
I non-ironically want a spin off about these little guys

Does this look like a cross between "The Secret of NIMH (1982)" and "The Mob Song" from "Beauty and the Beast (1991)"?
TheCarlitosbug: Absolutely yes on both counts...and it's marvelous.
God. I just wanna cry...💧because these modern cartoons honor good old fashioned classics...
A dash of An American Tail too.
Don Bluth had his own idea and version of Beauty and the Beast. If only we could've seen it.
Don Bluth films in the 70s 80s and 90s
If only his 2D animated movies were still around to watch today.
@@dreamguardian8320 There's always a DVD.
@@lucascrubjay1914 Yes, but their ones we've already seen. I mean brand new movies made by Don Bluth.
@@dreamguardian8320 We can always Storyboard them.
I kinda like the lizard in this episode.🙂🐊
He's either based on Jenner from the Secret of NIMH, or the Lizard King from Dragon's Lair.
Fartolomew is my favorite character as well
The animator for this has a RUclips and he is fukin good
Whats he's channel!
Gimic I can't remember but he made Wolf Song.p
This part was animated by Toniko Pantoja
I’m subscribed to that channel
James Braxter?

The song they sang sounded more like the mob song from Disney's Beauty and the Beast.
Alex McGillvrey it was a reference.
Don Bluth had his own version of Beauty and the Beast. If only we could've seen it.
@@mickeymouse6905 I can tell.
Would anyone watch a show based on those animals and there adventures through aberdale
If I had money to sponsor I'd say, "yeah, dammit, take all my money!

Some of this was animated by Toniko Pantoja.
I’m assuming the bird is a parody of the characters that are voiced by Dom Deluise because of the voice and the personality
Pretty much.
1:25 😧😧😧Wow that’s disturbing that is definitely burned into my brain
This was one of those random episodes of Clarence lol little weird
What is the name of the episode?
The Tails of Mardrynia.
🎉 beautiful reference
WHAT
1:56 Bad Word I Think
Not really.
I'm Sorry But, WHAT?
It can't be that, I dislike so much to show, and is this make it!
It kill me! It kill me! :-(
Please speak clearly.
What is this episode?
The Tails of Mardrynia.
@@Tinyironfistis it just me, or does that squirrel girl in red clothing look like Mrs. Brisby from The Secret of NIMH?
@@laurapreslar2751 That's the point.
god you cut out the best part
Shit
Toniko Pantoja IS A LEGEND
its like secret of nimh meets beauty and the beast
Don Bluth had his own idea and version of Beauty and the Beast. If only we could've seen it.
Heck yeah! Crossover
@@jaygooese4242 wonderful
With a bit of Aladdin, I mean the lizard sounds like Jafar.
More if Secret of Nimh and Beauty and the Beast had a child
Way to go Cartoon Network.
1:09 nice reference to "Land Before Time" scene when little foot and his friends struggle to get food there.
This brings tears to my eyes...😂
wow they really butchered toniko pantoja's animation
I just happen to talk to Don Bluth one time on the phone 3 years ago.
Really? did you ask him about a movie called Jawbreaker?
Watership Falls Well, not exactly but he did told me about his years at Disney before leaving to start his own studio. I did heard that Don Bluth's Jawbreaker project was going to be a special for television I think. Bluth also told that The Secret of NIMH (an all time favorite film of mine) is Bluth's personal favorite work. He's more into the fantasy genre they say.
What would he say If Jenner from The secret of NIMH was the son of Cluny the scourge from Redwall?
Watership Falls I've heard about the show Redwall but I barely watched it growing up. Don Bluth doesn't look like the type who sues.
Alex McGillvrey WOW! 😃👍
NOOOOO! keep dancing!
Oscar Estrada may I kiss your tail
The Tails of Mardrynia
Awesome
It never ends (x1.000.000.000.000)
Is the lizard voiced By Tim curry?
No
but he sure sound's like him and he sorta reminds me of Jenner.
I can sense the Secret of NIHM reference, and maybe some Thumbellina, but apart from that...
If by Don Bluth you mean Toniko Pantoja. This looks nothing like Don Bluth work anyway. Feels like the clean up artists butchered his work anyway.
They have to fit it within the series' simplistic art style.
I'm really disgusted by this. This is nothing like Don Bluth's work. This is an insult.
You're probably right.
