I prefer FF since it's financed by a non-profit organization (potentially not the same incentives to sell your data) and because it's one of few browser not using chromium. Chromium is fine and open source, I would still be worried if chromium became the only platform for browsers out there.
Yea that's totally fair. It does put me off that most things are based on chromium however I personally think that as long as it stays open source I appreciate that it allows for alot of highly varied experiences you can choose from depending on what you want. But I totally understand the concern about so many things relying on one basic element.
Thanks for the comment! I hope you enjoyed the video 😁
81% of revenue for Firefox came from Google, I am not defending Google, Chrome or anything else, just wanted to put it out there, i personally use Brave with all the crypto crap disabled, and I am also trying out Arc.
no linux support :/
If it's chrome-based (It is), then I don't want it. I prefer the gecko rendering engine and firefox in general, which means Firefox.
Yea that's totally fair
no, arc is ass at this points. Ungodly slow and eats so many resources. They were looking great about a year ago during the betas but added waayyy too many features and it became bloated
Interesting, I haven't had that experience I have seen that it takes a good amount of ram but I haven't noticed it making any difference to the performance. But that's a totally fair reason to dislike it if it doesn't work well for you. Thanks for the comment!
Hi, I'm new to the channel and I really like it. However, if you'd like to hear some critique of your style, I'd like to let you know that it is my belief that you took so much time to get actually to talk about "Arc Browser" I understand what you were talking about before hand. If you believe it what you had to say have a lot of value and you should take the time for it, perhaps you should have time stamps.
Thanks for the vid though, I really liked it and your style of presentation.
I was thinking the same thing. In fact I had clicked out but came back to write a comment. I rather get a summary of the video at first as a way to introduction
Again a realy nice video. Please ceep at it, realy enjoying them. :)
Thanks so much! 😊
Can you please share the name of the weighing machine you used in the beginning?
Yea it's the acacia lunar scale, though I would shop around before buying one it's a bit... On the pricy side 😅
Yep, edge is till the shlt, as somebody uses brave without adblock on. They all steal your privacy, so if you’re going to use most feature complete browser, edge is way to go.
If you’re not paying for the product, you are product. If you are paying for the product, you are the guineapig.
What about, genuine ones that don’t, unlike apples everything. Libre something, hears the thing extensions are the enemy, even you ublock. Something is always fingerprinting you or is used to fingerprint you. Custom extremely small engine for pacific use, still end with this saying “but added way too many features and it became bloated eating up lots of resources”
Use Edge? - Again, all are unsafe, use custom register somewhat protect yourself.
Why brave without adblock? - Use operating system level blocking.
Pacific engine? - Apps, programs, operating systems, doesn’t matter all will blot.
love arc but I feel faster on safari
hipster browser? chromium under the shell and just bloats and hogs memory? (might sell data cuz hey, company need money) Lol
Brave browser is the best browser right now. Arc is crap for security.
if theyre making this app for "power users" then its a massive failure. power uses already know how to use extensions on their browsers and have their own custom automations. this is just for apple customers who arent over sixty years old, tbh.
I'm using arc and I really like it. I think it's faster as well. Atleast on my PC. The interface is also simple.
TIme for me to check if they have a version for linux
they dont. at least not yet
6:10 I'm watching this in Arc browser only, so haha video joke not work
i've been using arc for almost 2 years and it was great even before the AI features! i've seen a lot change and i'm all for it! :D
Totally agree! I haven't used it for THAT long haha but it's great to hear from someone who has haha
that games bookmark is a bit suspect
Arc is not the best browser, at least not on Windows.
Incredible quality channel 👀 Also great video too! May the algorithm recognise your talent 🎉
Omg thank you so much 😊 I'm glad you like the videos!
is it available for linux ?
Not yet, they don't seem to have said anything about Linux support but I wouldent count it out in the future
Ni Linux version? Meh
My dude just took 5 min to say "They said is private, but dont quote me on it"
awwww, they don't have ark for linux
Yeaaa unfortunately not though I bet someone with Dev skills could get it going haha
Though you miss out on Arc's design philosophy Brave can be configured with tabs on the side, is multiplatform (Linux etc), is also a privacy oriented chromium fork, also has an AI integration with multiple LLM options.
Doesn't look like Arc's AI feature can be used on windows at the moment unless I'm just missing something.
Yea your absolute right, the windows version is still a bit cut down rn compared to the Mac version, they've said they see them as different products so we'll see what exactly that means for the windows version as time goes on haha.
Check vivaldi or floorp out. They probably have a lot of the same features.
Why can't i not use it without an account?

This is what they say, weather or not you believe them is up to you. I hope that helps! 😁
I have not heard of this browser before. As a Mac user I will definitely check this out. Thanks for doing a video on Arc 😊
Yea it's a really great companion app!
Which are the big 3 browsers? I just know chrome, FF and their forks (brave, vivaldi, librewolf, tor, etc). What's the 3rd?
Safari. He says it not even a minute into the video :/
