Good on you for choosing the 1JZGTE platform. Thanx for sharing and taking the time to make these videos over the few years. If people are complaining, then they havent seen any of the BOM Binky build
In response to your focus on keeping costs down: I once made a custom mold for a Mustang hood out of dirt! I made a 48" x 48" x 8" wood tray and packed dirt in it from the back yard. A hobby-grade CNC router with a ball-end bit "dug" out the mold in one day. I sprayed some water-based adhesive on the dirt to keep it in place and laid down the fiberglass. All of my expectations were exceeded! If I do this again, I'm going to set up the router on the back yard and dig into the ground (that tray was heavy and flexible)!
This small supercar prototype is gonna be a blast when it's done. Everyone has their own way of building a vehicle, and I have mine, on a non-existent budget. Keep it up, and I'll keep watching.
Thanks, Glad you found us! We will try to keep some great videos coming. (Just hope "your alley" is not a dark dreary place like Gotham city, or other wise we will have to paint the car black and add fins. Ha!)
very elegant . im a modelist and well seeing it done this way one man i can relate but knowing all the engineering and applications of technology you use its amazing
As I am watching this, first you mention the 1JZ, and now you are talking about another car I owned, my very first car, a early 90's Chevrolet Cavalier z24! And your using the window from it, how cool!
Love your build, I have been following for awhile. How would you go from a 2d platform to a 3d platform to where you can print out and start like you did?
I have just started watching your channel. I'm enjoying your videos and benefiting from your knowledge. Your scratch built car looks great. I'm sure owning and driving it will be a much better feeling than going to a shop and buying anything similar.
I love your project and I've been subbed following it as much as I could. People have their own opinions but I have loved your solutions to your problems and they're coming together into a great car!
But can you get it road legal? I guess that all depends on where you are. I'm interested in trying to build a Torana GTR-X "the Australian Corvette". A fiberglass concept car that Holden produced in 1970 and almost took to market. Other than the chassis and fiberglass body it was mostly build from existing parts which are still available.
Yes, it is still fairly simple to get a home built car registered in most places in the US. I know how difficult it is other places. Some places in Europe, you can't even alter your exhaust or change tire size. Gota love the EU. let us know (pictures?) if you start on your Torana.
It's pretty cool that you designed a car yourself and building it yourself. The fact that you were able to do that for under $ 300,000 is truly amazing let alone for nearly 1/10th of that price
@@pivotalevent I am also impressed with how you adapt the concept on the fly as obstacles occur, it's been great to see many builders with a variety of backgrounds and skillsets display their techniques for the world 🌎🌍 to see and learn from

Love it.. No Negativity here… your car built your way… on your budget.. so far it looks fantastic… love it.. New to the channel but right up my ally.
Thanks, Glad you found us! We will try to keep some great videos coming. (Just hope "your alley" is not a dark dreary place like Gotham city, or other wise we will have to paint the car black and add fins. Ha!)
AWESOME!!! Can't wait to see the finished product
very elegant . im a modelist and well seeing it done this way one man i can relate but knowing all the engineering and applications of technology you use its amazing
Great job Sir and young lady!
this ahas to be the best video you could ever made to boost your viewership and subscribers . great job !
As I am watching this, first you mention the 1JZ, and now you are talking about another car I owned, my very first car, a early 90's Chevrolet Cavalier z24! And your using the window from it, how cool!
Wow credit to you I can totally understand your dedication . Just amazing!!
This is awesome!! What an undertaking, I hope that your vision comes true when this car is finished!
Thank you for sharing all of this with us!
Love your build, I have been following for awhile. How would you go from a 2d platform to a 3d platform to where you can print out and start like you did?
I already love this dude, I like when people build their own car and post it on yt Hope to see more of your car
Thanks! I'll keep the videos comming. Make sure and subscribe so RUclips drops you a notice when they are posted.
Fantastic , amazing . Congratulations.
I have just started watching your channel. I'm enjoying your videos and benefiting from your knowledge. Your scratch built car looks great. I'm sure owning and driving it will be a much better feeling than going to a shop and buying anything similar.
HA! Yeah, I couldn't afford anything "similar!"
I love your project and I've been subbed following it as much as I could. People have their own opinions but I have loved your solutions to your problems and they're coming together into a great car!
Thanks. You have to come up with solutions when your days are filled with creating problems. Ha!
My god, wow even building the ECU, truely a master of a lot of disciplines. My admiration for you is through the roof!
Thank you for the content that you produce and the time and effort involved to do so.
It's easy to make something looking nice with a lot of money ,the challenge is building a nice car on a budget
Ha! My Scottish ancestry said there is no way im going to pay people to help me, I'll spend 5 years of my life instead.😂
@@pivotalevent I am also impressed with how you adapt the concept on the fly as obstacles occur, it's been great to see many builders with a variety of backgrounds and skillsets display their techniques for the world 🌎🌍 to see and learn from
I love watching these and wondering where you have been but understand you have a life. Can't wait for more!
When ever you wonder where I have been, just picture me stumbling through the desert in search for water; you will feel better about not getting a video. Ha!
I've had a custom car idea in the back of my head for a few years now. This is wonderful inspiration to accomplish that
Today is the day! Out of the head and onto the road!
@@pivotalevent I just need to get a helicopter turbine first. That will bring everything else together nicely.
I enjoy your time spent doing this. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! That makes two of us that enjoyed the time. ;)
Love the can do attitude and creative process!
As always, your building and creating is headshakingly brilliant. Keep up the amazing work Jay.
"Headshakingly" is that the same as banging your head a lot . . that seams to describe my days.
This channel is bloody amazing.
GREAT video, LOVE IT ! Wonderful way to give a quick review of what's going on. Looking forward to whatever is coming !
Hopefully a little progress is coming!
Already max subscribed. Glad to see you back. I've missed your systematic and scientific problem solving. Thanks again for allowing us to peep through your garage window.
Peeping through the garage window. I was wondering what was turning on those motion sensor lights every night. ;)
Excellent
Nothing wrong with buying a car, but designing and building it, is next gen
True role model, respect.
Absolutely incredible work, gorgeous car too, you're an inspiration for all diy'ers sir.
Except those kitchen craft DIYrs, they just don't get cars. Ha!
@@BuilderCreator lol, you got that right
I've been following for a long time and really enjoy your videos! I'm looking forward to your next Arete video! I'm working on a project of my own and totally understand long breaks where other projects and life demands supersede projects we want to be working on. Keep up the great work! Your videos are great, your project is amazing and your skills are unbelievable!
What a good genuine guy giving information he’s learned to others 🙏
This deserves way more views..you are a genius and it's amazing to me that there are people who are so passionate they would do something I would consider impossible. This was an amazing video and the build is incredible, can't wait to see more.
Those who appreciate it are the only views we need, thanks.
I have seen all your videos. It's a great journey.
All the videos? Thanks for giving me 15 hours of your life. Ha!
