I’ve been daily driving the Huawei GT2 for the past few months, and it has all the features in the series 6. The screen is not as high of a resolution, but I’d gladly trade that for a multi day batter lifetime even with an always on display. The only problem I have is the third party app support... well because it’s Huawei.
Actually I’ve always loved my blood oxygen sensors in my Samsung phones when I had those. I always pushed my sprints until I’d see my blood oxygen drop enough to where I would then take a break.
Why is no one impressed with the packaging! When I got my series 4 it took me 10 minutes to unbox because the packaging was so good. I stopped every 5 secs to stare at it.
I’ve never had a stand notification show when working out. It’s a basic orientation detection where you can put your arm down to then have it see you as having stood up. Workouts of biking or a treadmill where you keep your hands out in front of you might be the case, but it should detect the workout automatically to not trigger a stand request.
I swear Linus is like one of those kids in school who just makes shit up sometimes about stuff he likes just to down talk the cool thing & feel cooler than all the other “sheep”.... he wants to look like the one person who hates the thing that everyone else loves, so he can point his nose down at people because he’s insecure. I still love Linus, he knows what he’s talking about for the most part, but still has a tendency to fall back into this type of holier than thou type behavior. In this case, there’s no possible way that what he’s saying his experience is with the Apple Watch, actually happened in reality. If it did, he’s smart enough to know there would be something seriously wrong with his watch, & he would’ve returned it. I doubt Linus would daily drive subpar tech like that.
@@jadealexandrea9870 He's had this attitude towards anything Apple for as fat back as I remember and I've watched him since the NCIX Tech Tips and Linus Cat Tips days. I think part of it is pandering to his audience who he knows, by and large HATE Apple for "reasons". I've not had the kind of issues he mentions with my Apple Watch either. Some of it may also be down to being starved of any additional data from being paired with an iPhone all the time too. It still offloads some stuff to the phone for more accurate analysis as far as I'm aware. It's still a capable device on its own, just kind of hamstrung.
If Apple starts considering people who don't buy into the entire ecosystem as potential customers, I would LOVE to try out some Apple products, such as iPad and the like.
I think this is an interesting perspective, as I had a series 3 from launch and just upgraded to a series 6, it feels so incredibly new, I have all the new sensors, the bigger display for more complications, always on display, the list goes on. I think this highlights how instead of huge generational improvements promoting people to upgrade yearly I think we should encourage slow change that makes it worthwhile for people to stick with a device for a few years and update when the technology has gotten different enough to warrant the price tag.
The watch is really best as an extension to the phone, all you notifications on your wrist is the primary reason to have one over a normal watch. Not had any issues with the fitness features myself though I suppose if you never set up your fitness ring goals you could get some seemingly weird notifications with low defaults. With a desk job I find the stand reminders extremely helpful, and the move goals have certainly gotten me up for extra walks and exercise. I've used android phones since the HTC G1, and after tons of nexus devices, switch to iPhones last year, and this year added the Series 6 watch.
May someone explain to me why smartwatches need to have OLED always-on-displays? The reason I am asking is that I own a (fairly old) "smart watch" from Garmin called vivo active which uses an LCD display but under moderate lighting conditions it doesn't need to have the backlight enabled which saves a TON of battery life while not having to deal with any burnin issues. With the backlight enabled it even has good-eneugh colour representation for being used in every-day situations
That’s odd, I have been using Apple watches since the series 0 and I am currently using the series 5 and I have never once had a misunderstood workout like he is talking about.
The handwashing timer probably uses the sound from the faucet to activate considering that sound is very characteristic and would be quite loud at the watch's position.

I have had a Apple Watch since series 0 and they do not say "Thats a great workout" when you are driving, thats a flaw that FitBit had with its early devices picking up bumps in the road as step count. The Apple watches fitness tracking is best in class.
I’m reiterating my offer : hire me as a French translator. I could do a much better job...
Pour les subtitles?
What are your qualifications? Do you even know French? How good is your English? Were you at the top of your class in punctuation and syntax? How did you do in your 5th grade spelling bee? Do you even words good, bro?
Bruh its probably just canadian french
@@Garrettdx1988
I’m French. Many many years of English studies. Even got degrees and shit so much so that I’m actually teaching it. Trust me, I word better than most.
@@Garrettdx1988 You don't need to be that good in both English and French to know that "daily drive" is not translated to "fais quotidiennement en voiture". This is just google translate.
Always on display, exactly the kind of feature I would disable on first setup lol
6:07 WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Just another, non-constructive comment. My pleasure

I can see how upgrading from the 5 to the 6 wouldn’t be that exciting. I just upgraded from the 2 to a 6 and the difference is MASSIVE! Very happy with the new model.
"faster charging"
Me with amazfit bit(always on, one month battery): PATHETIC
I’ve been daily driving the Huawei GT2 for the past few months, and it has all the features in the series 6. The screen is not as high of a resolution, but I’d gladly trade that for a multi day batter lifetime even with an always on display. The only problem I have is the third party app support... well because it’s Huawei.
So, as is often the case, it's not the features but the implementation?
"It can measure how long your in bed"
Very poor choice of words.
You're
I have been wanting Apple Watch and android connection for 3 years
Linus: got a TEAMS notification. Oh yeah uhhhh square space.
We know Microsoft payed you to say teams. lol
Nah he actually uses teams
Linus do a review on Garmin watches. They have a very nice selection of fitness tracker style watches
Them making water sounds like the wind in a weird neighborhood
Great, now can we have the review for PCOC X3?
have you heard of TIzen OS.

The apple watch: got me spinning like a ballerina
Literally nobody:
Apple: Blood Oxygen!
Actually I’ve always loved my blood oxygen sensors in my Samsung phones when I had those. I always pushed my sprints until I’d see my blood oxygen drop enough to where I would then take a break.
You know that cover over the watch when you unbox it just slides off, right?
Just noticed that the lighting and contrast look really nice in this video. I wonder what they tweaked
8:43 why did the time not show? is it kinda like when the bar at the top of an android goes away because you're watching content?
I am using a gears s3 since 2017 and it is great. The battery still lasts for 3 days easily
I love the “no always on display then it’s not a watch”
The watch is really best as an extension to the phone, all you notifications on your wrist is the primary reason to have one over a normal watch. Not had any issues with the fitness features myself though I suppose if you never set up your fitness ring goals you could get some seemingly weird notifications with low defaults. With a desk job I find the stand reminders extremely helpful, and the move goals have certainly gotten me up for extra walks and exercise.
I've used android phones since the HTC G1, and after tons of nexus devices, switch to iPhones last year, and this year added the Series 6 watch.
Mocking the unicorn at the end was the best part

Why slide it out like its supposed to be done when u can tear it open
Ikr that was unfortunate rip
That was an award-winning transition to that ad
