Exactly why I love my 03' & 05' Envoy XL's the latter a Denali version. Don't have these issues & after 287,000 miles on my 03' Envoy I'm definitely a believer! These newer vehicles are too expensive & have too many electronics for me to have to deal with after all these yrs of nearly trouble free maintenance! Good luck with these newer vehicles, they surely don't build em' like they used to!!
Agreed. I like my 06 Silverado seen in this video. Seems to me that the early to mid 2000s are very good.. modern fuel injection and OBD-2, but not too many overcomplicated electronics and countless modules that can fail. Thanks for watching! God bless
It used to be that if the vehicle's battery dies, you charge it or change it that's it but now we have to have a 14 minute video about it. Wow just another one of those things in that long list of what's wrong with the world today.
Just so you know, I watched a video while back from a service tech saying that you cannot leave the key fob in the vehicle. If you do it constantly searches for it and drains the battery that could be why he’s constantly having a dead battery if he leaves the key fob in or near the vehicle
As far as I know, you can't lock the vehicle if you leave key fob in it. The vehicle will automatically open the drivers door lock if you close it with fob inside and beep 3 times fast, letting you know it is not locked and that you left FOB behind. So does the owner lock it when it sits out this long?
Being that its 4 years old and only has 7k miles tells me this thing sits a lot in subzero which any vehicle sitting a lot there is going to be issues especially in that weather batteries and electronics don't like the cold. Hopefully the owner will get a trickle charger to put on it that'll save his battery.
Well, considering opening the door and leaving the dome light a on also activates the courtesy lamps, the dash animation and all the accessory infotainment I’d shut the door. You do you, and I’ll have it started and driven away sooner 😉
If he’s loaded he could have someone clear it off and start it up in the cold weather. I was a driver for really wealthy people for a long time. Good times!

exactly. not talking about this guy or anyone else normal here but; some people let religion influence their lives way too much. some people need more factual reasoning. in the end, WE work for what we have. when bad stuff happens we don’t need thoughts and prayers we need action.

Thank God I moved to Arizona. It’s still in the high 70’s and 80’s here. I never want to see snow again.
I think I would use my OnStar/GM app to remotely start it at least once a week and let it run until it times out.
This happened to a rental Tahoe I had… let’s just say I’m staying in my 08 😂

This customer removes the fob and locks the vehicle. That's not the issue in this case, but thanks for sharing !

Gotta have a battery jumping box and a battery maintainer 😊
Cold weather and technology don't mix, and another thing, you can't have a vehicle sit for a long time outside especially with newer vehicles.
is cause all these electronics don't like to sit its got 7k on it and its almost 4 years old
Facts! You can’t have these vehicles sit especially when super cold. I have a 21 Tahoe zero problems but I drive it everyday and park in garage
Hello Mr Shepherd, looks awesome over there 😎
If I’d be in that situation, either close the door or shut off the interior lights. The constant dome lights isn’t helping the recharge.
They are LEDs, do you really think it makes any difference? Dome lights? I think it will be fine.
Well, considering opening the door and leaving the dome light a on also activates the courtesy lamps, the dash animation and all the accessory infotainment I’d shut the door. You do you, and I’ll have it started and driven away sooner 😉
Costco stopped selling Interstate Batteries because of that in Colorado...
Could the weather be bringing up those codes?
It’s beyond me why someone will buy a 70-80 thousand dollar truck just to have it sit for prolonged periods in FREEZING temps. this is what happens.
High idle ur service truck when charging will push more juice to the dead battery
I always thought that too, but I've measured the alternator output while revving/ high idling and it doesn't really increase.. stays around 14.7
@ i never knew that
@@HumbleHotshotthe voltage will stay the same - it’ll push more current as it’s revving higher which is what you need for cold cranking
WTF?! LOOK WHERE GM PUT THE BATTERY 🔋!
Yes. Missed old GMT800 and GMT400
🙌🏾

It’s a sin leaving that truck out there in that weather.
You need can-fd scaner to work properly with newer GM
Modern smart phone on wheels.
The Customer Can Start The Car From His Phone Where Ever He’s At If He’s Gonna Leave It For A While
It’s a GM. Disposable. Throw it away and buy a different brand of pickup.
Every cars are garbage now. Toyota isn’t great anymore, my friend aren’t happy with Tundra with V6
No thanks I will keep using my 05 gmc yukon.
Not every vehicle has problems I have a 21 Tahoe zero problems almost 46000 miles
Amen
You need a noco gb150 jump box
Buy American my ass 😂... C'mon GM 🤦🏽♂️
The Lord is Almighty
GM junk.
