Helpful patterns! Listening to Coltrane recordings in the 60's (especially his use of pentatonic phrases, although I had no idea what they were at the time) are what inspired me to start playing sax.
I know he studied with Bergonzi but the use of skips and steps to memorize pentatonic lines is what Jerry Bergonzi also mentioned in one of his pentatonic books. Seems like a solid way to go about memorizing these patterns

Pentatonic on the guitar doesnt sound very jazz,,on the sax is amazing!
