As you well know, I am a Londoner who went to university in newcastle. I agree that Northerners are friendlier than Southerners and definitely Londoners, although like the Northern bloke said that's not true for everyone. But as a student, I loved how cheap the north was...from food shopping to the pub to rent, it was amazingly cheap compared to London. A month's rent in Newcastle is a week's rent in London. it's crazy.
