The bright side of social media is you can able to keep in touch with your friends and family but when it comes with the dark side social media might ruined your life or control your life because of the negativity that we received from an anonymous person such as nasty comments or the amount of backlash if I receive some nasty comments I will ignore or delete the comment. Thanks for the video Mitch😀

i think also like social media can easily present you agreements and disagreements on a certain topic at the same time and it might seem to be a good aspect, but i started to think that it might cause you to always step back and start counter arguing yourself before you actually make statements and then hesitate being active on the platform, and then it leads you to lose confidents, self esteem and thus mental health.

Social media is the worse thing invented for young people. It's good for keeping in touch with family and friends if they live far away.

In the video we can see that, in the British community, or at least in this part that was interviewed, they do not see social networks in the best possible way. They identify them as a medium, yes, that can be used in its best objectives for aspects such as facilitating communication between people that is made difficult by distance, the transmission of information (that is useful and truthful) or publicizing a brand or a job for example; but in most cases they tend to become harmful and are used incorrectly by people and cause unfortunate situations such as bullying, falsehood or simulation, low self-esteem, depression or that people are dependent or addicted to them. Personally, I share a lot the opinions of the people present in the video. I believe that for communication and to provide information, social networks are the best tool that we can use, but that these, which would be their main objectives, are often blurred and left aside to give social networks uses that I truly consider insignificant.

The social media is a great tool that we can explode or use, it is somenthing that we have nowadays and has a benefits, im the one hand, is that we can keep us in contact with people far away from us, on the other hand if somebody uses it for bad things, can be counterproductive. We choose how to use it.

This was a very good episode! Social media is definitely two side sword. Many only the "best" moments or worst sad news. Little every day real life. I worry about kids bullied or trying to live up to perfect filters.
I like the advice to make friends & keep in contact across the globe - or share information.

It should be noted that social networks are usually a means by which anyone can communicate with others. However, lately people misuse these media, using them to harass, offend, foment conflicts, among others. In this video, you can see the opinions of the British regarding these networks, in which some believe that social networks are simply a means of toxic communication, as is the case of Twitter where anyone is attacked depending on the point of view that is shared through this network. On the other hand, some people think that digital media are amazing, and that they help them to meet new people and make friends. It's a myriad of opinions where both sides are right. I'm supposed to support one of them, but on RUclips they can "FUNAR" even for giving likes to some content creator.

I don’t use social media at all. If I want to stay in contact with someone, they can have my phone number or e-mail address. A bit old fashioned, but it works and fits in my minimalist lifestyle.
