- After the Suzuki Hayabusa beat the Lamborghini SVJ the Carwow guys brought out the launch king, the Porsche 911 Turbo S. This will be a close one!

Great content. No screaming, high fiving, popping , banging, heavy bass music, or reckless insane law breaking on the road like many other channels. Just a bloody good race with 2 great guys.
Massively improved by the lack of the grinning Yianni
After watching each and every video of car wow I can firmly say that Mat jump starts 9 out of 10 launches 🤣😂🤣
He’s just very good at launching, he’s doing it multiple times a day most days. We just like working with the Carwow guys, good fun.
@@BikeWorldTVshow …what a „profession“ 😂
Oh dear..a butt hurt biker...
@@davidtebbitt5537 You want to meet a butt-hurt Porsche driver, meet some traffic... because one way a bike slaughters a car is it's ability to just drive through and around slow traffic, even stationary traffic. My daily driver is a Hilux, if I want to get somewhere quickly I take my wife's Subaru, if I really need to get somewhere fast I take my bike, and it's only a KLX250. It can also go off-road. Try that in a Porsche? :P
@@bigglyguy8429 🤣🤣🤣🤣 what a massive dose of butt hurt...just like I said...ha ha ha ha...bikers... smh 🤣🤣
To think this bike began life in 1999 and it ultimately is still that bike. It is staggering how it performs today
Right? Same engine, revised with hundreds of new parts, but still the original thing. They didn't futz about with forced induction; just left a stronger, more reliable blank canvas for the aftermarket to modify.
I own a matte silver '22 and it's such a delight; a total lady at any speed. A bit peppier down low and in the midrange than the previous generation, but still a pure Hayabusa. I love that Suzuki kept its initial essence intact 22 years later.
That's a freakin' long time!
@@ANSWERTHECALLOFJESUSCHRIST The same principles to the porsche 911 except that it started life in the 70s already
Except seems with their MotoGP exit & rumours of stopping the gsxr1000 production😢… is it the last for a while!?
@@warmachine9553 the 911 in the 70's is a a different car to the 911 today.
Car drivers often forget one thing, bikes only need 2.5 feet to escape a problem, you don't have to fully stop. My bike has saved me twice from having a head on with cars overtaking where they shouldn't, if I'd been in my car there would've been a nasty mess - cars need a big gap to miss something.
Well, there’s a tiny bit of truth to it. … BUT one of the most common problems of a motorcycle is - that is killing their riders ! - that they are much easier OVERLOOKED by car drivers. And when the car is only damaged …the rider of the bike is already dead !
Agree totally, car drivers switch off when behind the wheel, driving is not usually at the top of their priorities, riding for over 40 years , still
upright, and a more aware car driver because of it.
The two best vehicles imo
Except you can’t stop quickly & will die in many “minor” car accidents.
Drop the dumb comparisons and just accept each for what it is.
Yes, riding a motorbike is WAY more life threatening and dangerous than driving a car! That’s a simple fact and all „explanations“ that not all bike riders are going to get killed is just ignoring the facts. Sure not everyone will have a deadly accident…but who knows in advance that he doesn’t belong to this poor group of riders? So if you’re willing to take the risk… jump on your motorcycle! That’s all there is to it!
I really like seeing these videos from a bike world behind the scenes types alternate view after watching the carwow video as well. The two channels go together brilliantly for mixing up two and four wheel content, plus Chris and Mat have great banter on camera.
Oh, and lastly anyone making comments about how to launch a bike from the comfort of their armchair and computer........Chris can launch with the best of 'em. That wheel hovering on the last go shows that. Yes over a longer distance the Busa will pull away but top respect to what supercars can do nowadays in terms of actual launching and 1/4 times. It's mental..........but a bit pricey compared to a bike! 😂👍
It's ONLY a 10 to 1 cost ratio!...only...
As I just pointed out to someone, the real speed difference in the real world is a bike isn't held back by slow traffic. I don't care how fast your Porsche is; a 50cc moped will kill it in a traffic jam
@@bigglyguy8429 yeah on highway but tbh Hayabusa is more like hyperbike of bike world & real competition for hyperbike is hypercar would love to see a jesko or buggati in here.
I think you need to bring the Kawasaki H2r to teach this Porshe a lesson!
Just remap and exhaust and the busa will sort it out
Any other current gen superbike would do no need to bother the H2
That isn’t a drag bike. The power makes the launch even worse than the Busa. From a roll sure. 1/2 sure. But 1/4 mile the extra power and short wheelbase of the H2 I’d wager it’s slower than the Busa.
The busa is better at launch than the H2
No need too bring a H2 bruh no.
The difference is that a child can drive/drag race a car like the sophisticated Porsche with four wheel drive/TC etc who is able to put all the power on the ground, the bike takes proper skills to use the maximum power off the line.
I’ve owned 5 Porsches. One twin turbo about 700hp. One GTR r32 Skyline 700hp. All built for circuit/sprint racing. Have had bikes all my life as well. Current Ninja 1000 and KTM 790 Adventure R. The most exhilarating and most satisfying to me is my bikes. Love my cars but my bikes are where my heart lies.
The busa wiped for floor with the Prorsche in the wheelie test!
the Bugatti Chiron would destroy the Busa, might as well have a skateboard

Thanks for lending the bike, it was an epic race 😃
That should hold me over until tomorrow’s MotoGP races. Thanks gents much appreciated👏
Chris is a top bloke and an excellent guy to launch a bike
Skill required on the bike.
Enuff said 😎
I would like to see the same drag race, after the hayabusa is tuned, new exhaust system, and new mapping. It’s going to be great! 👍😁
Looked like some cheeky early starts from Matt! Would a standard sports bike be faster than that busa ?? Maybe a s1000rr
Yes. Modern liter bikes are faster than busas & zx14rs
Yeah much lighter and more power but shorter wheelbase so maybe the busa is better off the line
S1000rr or a H2 would do much more
@@weirdchamp7790 he already tried with the h2r. It wasn’t so great at launch.
@@fabiena1787 too much power to hold down
It's always a joy watching Chris ride any bike or anything for that matter. I bet he could make riding a horse entertaining too.
Time to drop 35 pounds off the Hayabusa with a 4-2-1 exhaust, and ECU flash (picking up a good deal of power too).
We’re on it; ruclips.net/video/jkolGiTVqaE/видео.html
The Busa walked the Porsche in the higher gears anyway, the only thing it needs is a swingarm extension. Horsepower is not the problem here.
@@michaelwinter3132 I agree. Horsepower is not the problem here, it's environmental regulations reducing power, that's the problem.
Drag racing is one thing, but using a stock wheelbase bike with stock suspension is another thing. That's probably what this little demo is about, since the Porsche is likewise pretty stock.
@@exothermal.sprocket nah bro this busa runs 9.9 @146 mph with a good launch
Chris isn't used to it yet he can definitely smoke that Porsche from dig
No need anything
Despite the jump start that porche is shockingly quick!!!
All the dragraces you started a lot after that person in the car. You see that the car is already moving at the least amount of twitch in the arms of the guy waving you off. His arm is almost straight down when you start moving with the bike. That is a big difference, and is all the difference especially in the dragrace with that Porsche.
Whilst I enjoy these events. The variables involved are myriad. You could put one tooth off front sprocket (Hiyabusa is probably over geared like most bikes) & win. Then lower tyre pressures in Porsche & win. After riding sportsbikes for 30yrs its the brakes that impresses me most. On the road 600cc+ bikes are mad enough for anyone.
@Chris - I would love to see the recently completed TTS gen 3 Busa vs anything that Matt can conjure to compete 🙏
Are you bored, comparing apples with pears..... 😂
and that's why the mod1 test concentrates on evasive manoeuvres more than emergency stops.
As expected of the brake test, if you’ve never ridden a motorcycle then you’ll never know lol
Need a ZX14 to run with the mighty Porsches!
I ride Gen3 Hayabusa , and A mode is the fastest in the 1/4 mile.
I got 9.87 seconds on GPS in stock .
Any video?
That’s the magic of the 911 Turbo S - it can launch perfectly all day over and over. All of the highly tuned custom cars usually break down after the 1st run, but the Porsche is like clockwork. Can’t afford one so I’ll stick with bikes for my cheap (ish) thrills!
How about a rematch, only this time the car doesn’t jump the start?
Love these videos, two real enthusiasts having a total ball. Cant wait for whatever Matt is bringing to the next party, best get busy in the shed Chris.
That was great fun to watch from the bike’s perspective after watching the Carwow video! 😃
Beautiful car I must admit and quick as hell. Not that I care about speed - once you pass the 40 mark your perspective changes. I used to like Matt when he was starting his videos. Now he’s a bit of a spoiled child sadly. I guess that’s what huge choice of cars and a success does to you. Still congrats to his channel, it’s good to see the passion turned into lifestyle. Stay humble, your content is good because it’s honest and down to earth - where most of us reside anyway.
Bikes forever ❤, but that 911 is the car of my dreams cos it’s just so good at using what is got!
Love these crossover vids 👍🏻
The average person can't afford a $160K car. That's why I'm picking up a 2023 Hayabusa next week. And riding will always be more fun than driving imo.
Matt “beat you off the line” (because you went before the bike!!)
Porche is a beast!
I would love to see a rematch now that the Busa has the new exhaust and gotten a tune.
The turbo-S could have been faster on the top-end by retracting the active aero to reduce drag. Simply set the Individual setting on Sport+ engine response with aero retracted.
The Busa are loosing time by revving it to high. Change gear 1000 rpm earlier, and it will go way faster.
I have a 2021 busa and I'm planning on getting the tts supercharger kit fitted...when I do Chris can borrow it for a rematch.....
Or in the meantime ask tts if u can borrow thier superbusa....id imagine is shud get in the 8s.....
@@mattwilliams1479
Don't believe what you read .
9.4 in perfect conditions with pro rider .
8 second quarter is turbo territory not supercharger.
@@peterherrington3300 sum1 has already done a 9.2 on a stock busa with longer swing arm...so double the bikes power and it will get in the 8s
Have a client for several years now. He had some sort of lambo, a Ferrari and a Porsche. I asked him which one he liked best and he answered me, " the lambo is to expensive to drive around, the Ferrari is always breaking down and the Porsche just goes on without a problem" that should tell you everything.
How much easier is the car to drive/ launch with its electronics than the bike, and the price difference is massive..
Put it against the latest S1000RR sure it will a be different result
Great stuff, well done Chris.
It's easy to launch the car, however, it's very difficult to get a perfect launch with a bike, the car is computerised and has launch control 4wd, off the line the bike has no chance.
Love bike v car comparisons. Thanks for the drag and roll on test. I'll say it on here like I say it on carwow we need trap speed at the 1/4. And fast cars these days need to be doing the 1/2 mile. 1/4s are crap these days
Long gone are the days when bikes beat cars off the mark.
in fairness at a drag strip cars still usually get battered by bikes. This runway is very slippery: cars get notoriously slow times (especially RWD ones)
There were times Matt jumped start during launches...
But he is getting better at getting it spot on...
Top tier cars should go up against top tier bikes for these type of races. In today's world of superbikes the Hayabusa is a fast tourer.
Respectfully, Porsche is two syllables. Great video!
Nice work fella s good effort
what are the brake stopping distances like from legal limit speeds?
in the car you just have to push the gas pedal and the car does the rest, bikes are notoriously hard to launch
also the busa cost about 1/10th of the porsche
comfort and speed doesnt come cheap !!
20 years back when I had a full power Busa in Singapore I used to love out dragging all the F40’s, 911 Turbo’s and Lambos between the Singapore and Malaysian passport control points. Yes fun days.
Used to drag race the F16 at Changi airport back road, after initially dropping them they just blew me away! Ha ha 😂
Hopefully you aren't making up stories, because there is nothing to win! 😉
Porsche jumped it….. you won Chris 🥇
The result is just 2 things: Physics and preempting starts…. That’s it!
Though the Porsche got the upper hand those launches on the Busa are impressive 👍
You should invite Dani Pedrosa to have a profesional Pilot on the Hayabusa vs 911
Chris is professional
@@BikeWorldTVshow by professional I mean MotoGP level pilot. If someone like Pedrosa can't defeat the 911, it's possible nobody can
Good race! I'm a bike man through and through but that porsche is fast 🙂
so it should be for that sort of money !!
@@rhett7716 true, although I'd still rather have the bike, much more involving.
As matt said, in the porsche you just put your foot flat and let off the brake,
On the bike you're fighting wheelies and moving your weight around to get the best grip etc which is always fun 😁
I expected the bike to win but man that Porsche is fast for a car up against a super bike
from carwow. Cannot wait to see other races
It’s working class vs billionaire really and for once we’re winning.
Can someone explain to me the following point: in this kind of videos, the motorcycle riders know how to fool around with wheelings or burns but when it comes to mastering an acceleration, they get eaten by any car. I remind you that the hayabusa achieves the 0 to 200 in less than 7 seconds (in the hands of a real pilot) when the 911 Turbo does it in 9 seconds. And 2 seconds at 200 km/h = 111 meters. What the video does not seem to reflect.
Hayabusa 0-200 in under 7sec.??? Real about 7,1 sec. Turbo s 0-200 8,5 sec.
After watching chriss moore neck and neck with a plaid on a stock busa, im convinced this is a rider issue.
That's all Chris Moore does, our Chris is a track rider and a bloody good one.
@BikeWorldTVshow yeah didn't mean any disrespect, I know he's an excellent rider, better than I am forsure.
If a bike cant beat a car then it's not the bike to ride.
Where's the Busas Akrapovic system and tune just to balance the equation 🙂
The Akrapovic’s fitted we just need to unlock the ECU, that’s happening later this month.
@@BikeWorldTVshow Rematch
the porsche ... lion in wolf's clothing ...
That was fun. Bet the 'Busa cost less than the options on the 911 Turbo S!
We worked it out that the options would cost more than the bike.
But who can afford a Porsche?? Anyone can get a Busa for 10% of the cost of a 911. And didn’t see that car doing any wheelies..
Motorcycles are boring the problem is rain and cold. There is heating in the car you can listen to music talk to passengers etc.
The 911 have the shortest break way from all cars, the engine is in the rear side from the 911,when he break he have more weight on the rear wheel break, so he have more break power on all wheels, he break down from 100km/h to 0km/ h in 30,5 Meter, the best bike need 38,5 to stop from 100/km/h,a normal bike need 41-45 Meter to stop, but have a long distance when you drive behind a car with your motobike!! Sorry for my bad english best wish Reiner from Germany
Yet the KTM GP bike took off the line in 6th (previous video understanding) and still blasted past the fast VAG like it was cruising….
Love it! My favorite 2 channels in 1 video.
How often do you drive in a straight line?… it is like NASCAR… left, left, left, left, left….
On a serious note… you need following distance on a bike! 😮
2 Quasseltaschen sichtlich belustigt im Dauergebabbel und leider nur kurzes und einseitiges Bild vom japanischen Falken, sehr schade !
With stage 1 on the porsche i rate rolling run the bike won't be ahead
Just need Jon from Autoshenannigans doing a commentary...
Porsche jumped the start both times.
Can we get TTS performances' SuperBusa on the channel? Maybe with some drag races with matt? 👀
Yes, yes and yes!!!!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
That would be unfair to supercars and hypercars if the superbusa could be launched properly
Mat jump starts in an unecaptable way!🙄
No doubt: Hayabusa wins‼
C'mon Chris, why did you let Matt get away with only using launch control? I would have loved to see him try to get away without standing on both pedals at the same time.
Just to add how much does the Porch cost Vs the bike
we need to get mat on the bike
Get someone that can launch a busa.
To be open: The times of dominance of bikes in acceleration has come to an end. Massive Turbo Power and/or electric motors together with AWD and launch control are hard to beat. The 2023 911 Turbo S Hybride will bring even more acceleration skills to the table….
And cars have so much in terms of luxury now too
Go to a drag strip. Stock 1000cc bikes running mid/low 9s isnt what i would call the end of dominance.
@@Stratocasterhead51 Official time from BMW for the BMW S1000rr is 10.2 sec to my knowledge. A low 9sec run for a stock 1000cc bike? Don´t believe this and any such sub-10 run needs a prepared sticky surface - I´m talking about real-world scenarios. There is a stagnation of 0-100km/h and 0-200km/h times for superbikes since the arrival of the first S1000rr more than 10 years ago, related to the geometrics of such bikes. Of course you can optimize this by some crazy wheelbase modifications, but this comes at the cost of huge disadvanatges in the corners. You will not be even able to follow a well driven Toyota Yaris on a twisty backcountry road with such a bike. I´m a big bike fan because of the feeling in corners, smelling the fresh air. Otherwise the dominance is a relict of the past. Believe me
@@ytuberization Of course when have the germans ever lied about their cars stats or performance(!)
They are famous for understating their hp and acceleration figures (car and bikes btw).
Besides i dont care what you BELIEVE. You can look up on youtube any superbike at the drag strip. Im talking stock bikes btw. They easily dip into the 9s.
Just because most people cant do sub 10 on a bike doesnt mean the bike is incapable of this.
@@Stratocasterhead51 Believe whatever you want believe. As an owner of fast car and bike I’m referring to real-life experience on normal roads, not to RUclips videos and “drag strips”.
Did he just say comon little Suzuki
Maybe increase the Spock teeths in the back for more acceleration and less top speed
Stock busa, necesita flashear su centralita y una puesta a punto
650ib has a secret modification for the h2 to be able to use full power in the lower gears. Go talk to him about it. Additionally, get a slightly longer swing arm. Then none of those cars will stand a chance.
If the cars are modified, the bike should be allowed to be modified too.
Long swingarms are for dragqueens, yanks & nobbers allegedly
yep. this busa is not that quick. the new blade or s1000rr are way faster. the busa is a sports tourer not a sport bike. many stock bikes with a stretched swinging arm can run mid 8 second quater miles.
I wonder how much better the bike with its small tyre contact patch would perform on smooth tarmac………….that rough concrete must really favour four wide rubber tyres, and makes it pretty unfair and unrealistic in that respect 🤔
Agreed. The runway they use for their drag races seems to heavily favour traction oriented cars. It also explains why all the 1/4 mile times are so far off what the cars can really do.
New sub sir... thanks for that race!!!
Welcome!
Why the Porsche 911 always the contender in all races types
It's just grip. 4wd porsches with PDK is almost unbeatable off the line. Maybe a GT-R can beat it but not a bike from 0-50 meters
Bro stop bringing tuned GTRs here
A 400 HP Busa walked a 2500 HP GTR
That's enough
a GT-R cannot beat a 992 turbo S off the line impossible, the 911 is way way faster. The only car that can beat the 911 is the SF90 but it has 1000hp so … not fair
Porsche as in Porscher, not Porsch. Didn't you know?
