If a salesman tries to show me that the brand wrote their name on the headstock is something so special that you have to mention it with the other specs tells a lot. If i had that much money to spend for a bads i wouldnt go for this one anyways 🤷🏻♂️
So they stopped using higher end wenge tops, went to nordstrand big singles, which can be had in the "premium" line, and they increased the price by quite a large amount....so the only actual upgrade is the preamp. Gotcha.
@ I've gone over the specs in detail. Roasted maple and walnut, vs wenge/walnut and a wenge fingerboard. Not to mention they got rid of the titanium rods in the neck. There's literally no reason the price should have increased from the old model. The new preamp is cool, but is it worth the inflated price? It is nice to see that they have more to choose from in the prestige lineup, but it's still underwhelming, especially for the price. I'm glad I was able to snag a final production run SR5006 prestige.

Nice ! 😊
Glad I was able to get my ehb1000s before they go bye bye. Not sure if they'll have those around any longer or not.

Fair points, but I think the Nordstrands dont need to hide behind any Bartolini Pickup. Weird that they stopped using them at all though.
You might want to watch the video. Altered the body shape, roasted maple necks, different choices of body woods etc.
@@LordHar Whats the benefit of roasted maple compared to normal dryed maple?

@@bassplayer1586 I totally agree on them being on the pricey side
If it were passive (and priced accordingly) with stainless frets I'd be all over this. I'm done with nickel frets.
What's wrong with nickel frets?
2025 is such a boring year for guitars and basses...I would've liked to have seen a 30 inch short scale SR
Can I get a SR5506? :D
Taking donations... :D
