The fact Eri as a CHILD and as the unofficial healer would likely be the MOST guarded member of the squad because healers in this situation are the pieces you want and need to defend the most along with the boss. Healers set the members straight and help keep everyone intact whilst being a safe spot or regeneration point and bosses keep everything moving and together/stable. Without the boss everything falls to pieces theirs no one organizing everything and without the healers theres more dead/permanently wounded members.
