I'm so happy that the Knights of Morr are heavy melee cav and not shock cav. I thought i saw them with lances in the trailer and was kinda disappointed but now seeing them with unique swords and shields is just so damn cool.
I love seeing the Mechanical Steed in. Always been such a cool model.

The empire have discovered conical projectiles. It is so over for literally any other faction.
I thought that aswell, give them 29 years and they'll be fielding WW1 Artillery Guns and Dreadnoughts will rule the Oceans.
Everyone revealed so far has been....well.....really good. It's almost scary. Whatever meetings they had after SoC did something. Can't wait to see dwarf dlc info.
I strongly suspect that its a change of management and giving more power to people like Richard Aldridge.

Wow the steam tanks look beautiful
Very good to see Karl Franz being changed into making sure he plays as the defender of Empire rather then having play as a weird conqueror who's incentivized to just obliterate the other elector counts and control everything himself. It was like Franz was taking the German inspiration for Reikland a little too literally.

We have Gotrek, Felix, Ulrika, Malakai, a generic gold wizard for max, and then I suppose I can just use 3 generic slayers heroes for Snorri, Bjorni, and Ulli.
I’ll have to find a mod that lets Malakai recruit Ulrika but I imagine someone will make that very soon haha.
@carsonnesbit1178 apparently the Dwarfs are now able to recruit Ulrika. So no mod needed for that 😀

Summon the Elector Counts!
I personally dont mind the Carmine Dragon's look. Yes, it has that Elven look. Many magical-oriented dragons share that look across the warhammer, And "DEATH" Dragons definitely should be one of those "magically supercharged" dragons.
Maybe nothing on the tier of Star dragons, or Nightmare Dragons, but a powerful middle ground above things like Forest, Zombie, or Sun dragons.
the amber wizards can ride gryphons, summon 2 eagles (i forget if its group or great), and now with the college system they can temporarily summon beast incarnates, the college increases your hero cap each wizard you purchase through it so doomstacking with them isn't even that hard, can't wait to roll over people with 19 gryphons, 38 eagles and 19 incarnate beast

@@scudgaming603 Yea the Lizardman mechanics boil down to occasional quests that pop up randomly that give you a random special unit, a single building chain that buffs commandments aaaaand that's about it lol

I know what you mean, I honestly think reworked Gelt actually looks more fun than Elspeth, they both look really fun though!

@@Laid2Rest94 Im going to play Karl, his new campaign options look dope, 5% damage and life for state droops per rank will mean Karl played as a melee/cav army will be very decent. I love that he can give his fellow electors free armies to use so ostermark and middenland don't get crushed while you take out all the bad guys in Brittonia.
Gelt looks extreamly OP. I would totally return to the empire as him and go take all the woodelf lands.
Speaking of repeater's - I honestly was expecting those to be an RoR if Ironsides or the state variant (or whatever those are called, like Carroburg Greatswords). Shame, but those gunners still look both sexy and scary for the enemy!

Hardest part for me with this DLC is who to play 1st..Nuln or dwarves. I love them both and while Nurgle looks cool its a distant 3rd for playing. I love me some Dawi slayer action and Nuln gunpowder destruction

I love seeing the new steam tanks. By coincidence, I'm currently painting a Steam tank for my Cities of Sigmar.

Oh man I hope that they go over the other game 1 factions and give them this sorta TLC
Vampire counts have always been my #1 love (played them on the tabletop) and I so hope that they give this amount of attention when (I hope it's when) they get a focus
I just really wish there was a "all LLs start in their homeland" checkbox option, even if it meant stacking them on a single faction like in the first game. I really don't like the dartboard approach to starting locations. I want the option to have a loreful experience.
I'm assuming the RR of for the ironsides will get repeaters. It would be weird if they didn't.

I mean, between Elspeth and the new changes to how the Empire’s campaign will play in general, the Empire finally sounds like a faction I actually want to play. I’m pretty excited.

As someone who is fairly set on buying these DLCs (after post-embargo reviews) free reworks are the things I’m most excited for.
Makes Shadows of Chamge even less appealing - new units are cool, but if their factions are still rotting in the campaign area, I do not care

You can return to the empire fairly early on
Yeah, it's sad because as a Cathay player you gonna kill him in basically every campaign because there is a lot of trading goods and unique landmark in the south.

When it comes to Elspeths dragon, it isn't conpletely stated how it is designed outside of being a crimson red dragon. And since most dragons all looks the same outside color, there isn't much for them to go off of.
I wouldn't be surprised if they had asked GW on if there were any special features or anything, but they likely didn't give a good response outside of "go off the lore tab." So considering that I am not really dissatisfied on the whole thing. I am just surprised they at the very least changed the color, cause for all old management likely would have cared, they likely would've just given her a generic dragon mount and named it after her lore entry crimson dragon. In a way, they likely did technically do that, but until I see it, I wont be able to thoroughly guess as to any of the actual differences in models or features. But considering the dragon, there isn't much they can do with it unless its a corrupted dragon, like the chaos one, the undead one, or the dark elf ones. Otherwise most are just the same.
I hope in future they allow to keep provincial colours for Empire troops.

I’m very pleased with the reworks for all three factions, but I must say that I’m especially pleasantly surprised with the amount of love that Gelt has received. I didn’t buy SoC but I will definitely be purchasing ToD :)

I'm really liking this update but I'm a little scared we aren't getting wizard Lords or the celestial hurricanum cuz I thought for Sure they'd be in this dlc and the master engineer would just be a hero, didn't think they'd get a lord version

Okay, so i won't say I play TWW3 casually, but I had not noticed the thing about the dragon.
Another question I have is, will Gelt still have all his quest battles? I hope they don't disrupt or remove those due to his new starting location.
i doubt that will be an issue. most people just teleport to their quests, so he very likely has all the same ones

kind of strange the Nuln Ironsides are holding repeater rifles in the trailer but in the dev build they have generic long rifles. Hoping the trailer has the correct look.
they confirmed to make it more lore friendly (and maybe cuz GW stepped in), they changed it to regular handguns. they will not have repeaters in the final build

the State Troops/Elector Count system has been changed but not gone. from everything i've seen its just been made better and even Franz gets big buffs for State Troops
I'll be honest, my only complaint is that it sounds like only elspeth gets the gunnery school (correct me if I missed something or misheard that). I play empire, and damn if I don't want better gun play. Hell, I've run that WWI mod my last 2 play throughs just because the empire's guns feel really lacking in their punch, and their artillery gets pretty useless after a certain point in most battles I've played, particularly against later game, high tier, high leadership, small but elite units/monstrous units. The idea of better buffs to them to make late game gunnery units absolute paradigm shifters, to show the effects that massed use of, and drastic improvement in firearms tech could have on war is something that draws me to the Empire. The idea of a juggernaut that, if it was ever allowed to get truly unified, motivated, mobilized, and continue it's advancements without supposed "giant rats" murder-killing/sabotage-booming their greatest inventors is one I've always wanted to see realized in the setting. Hopefully such an idea can get implemented before they go full "end times", because otherwise hordes of chaos monsters and aspiring champions, or really any single entity units that cause terror, can charge through formations into the back line, and can sow chaos in formations, will tend to wreck any non-dedicated counter armies from them
My idea for the amethyst armory: handgunners now cast spirit leech every time they hit a unit. Mortars now shoot purple suns :))) fair and balanced

he is a Nurgle subfaction. Khorne, Tzeentch, Slaanesh, and Nurgle aren't daemon-only factions, they are monogods. Which means mortals and Daemons dedicated to each God, combined into singular rosters. So there will be mortal and Daemonic legendary lords for each of the Gods. But yes you are correct that Tamurkhan is a mortal champion, not a daemon

DLC looking good so far. It might be the first DLC I buy since Champions of Chaos. It's a shame it took some catastrophic failures by CA part to finally start caring for this title. We could've had this type of quality from day 1.

Volkmar was was already updated and the most i know about Markus is that he gets to use Empire Mechanics if he returns to the empire
Markus already has a pretty unique campaign in Lustria, so he doesn't really need an update.
I've watch a vid, they have some minor modifications so fair enough. That's good. They'll probably benefit from the empire update either way :)

Problem with the Empire Elector Count regions is the main factions shit on them within 10-30 turns and there's nothing you can do to help at the start. Reclaiming was only ever useful to get back the Authority you lost for them being shit.
The nex big thing for empire could be Religion ubdate.

High Elves are my fav faction, and the one I collect in TT.
But Empire campaigns in TWW seem to give the almost more fun battles. I never get bored with their campaigns. Very much looking forward to this DLC.
back in 2015/6 when TWW was being teased and announced, I played Wissenland in Call of Warhammer and it got me so hyped. To have a dedicated DLC to them is making me cream.
