Funny how love can be is one of my favourite songs of all time and has been since the first time I heard it. But since I found this, I haven't played the Ivy Leagues version, just this one. I think that says it all.
I've been liistening to this a lot, and I feel that in many ways it reminds me of Joni Mithcell's Both Sides now. That was a song that she wrote when she was very young, in the sixties. but it wasn't until she recorded a much slower and infinitely more emootional version athe beginning of the centrury that was able to fully express her feelings through the song. her own age and a lifetime of eomtions, illuminated the song and gave it meaning. The same goes for this song I think. The older man who sings it now puts a lifetime of experience into the song and sings it in a very dfirrerent way than the young man who wrote it could have.
John have been a fan of The Ivy League forever. My favourite That's why I'm crying made my mum go and buy it for me when I was 15.Still got it still play it.Thank You.

Hi John! I’m 48 and just discovered this song a few weeks ago thanks to my older brother strumming his own version and sending it me via wattsapp (such is the power of the internet to spread music these days!). I liked his version so sought out the song on here and loved it. Absolutely adore this version with just you though. This why I love the internet, the fact we can share such beautiful music, because without it the only chance I’d hear even the Ivy League original would be via radio or a disco! Let alone this version. Thank you very much for giving this to the world. 👍🏼😬
