That would make a good Point A to Point B work vehicle for someone with a short commute. Good video. Good save. At least 100 Chevy Cruzes have gone into the crusher at an Illinois yard that has a RUclips channel.
@@apj341 I agree. Thankfully here in the northwest, we don't use salt, so as long as you take care of the cars here, they can go a long time! Thanks for watching!
Hi! I just watched your video. I'm from the Canary Islands (Spain), and I usually restore cars. Some I keep, and others I sell again (I basically do it for fun-I work in something completely unrelated to mechanics, but my father had a workshop, and I've always loved it). I really liked how you did it. Keep uploading videos like this! Greetings from the other side of the pond!
$3,900 or best offer - I do well flipping these Chevy Cruze's, people generally junk them or sell them for almost nothing when the common issues of the 1.4L turbo engines like this one start popping up but those issues are all very predictable and generally cheap/easy to fix, although buying anything that was previously overheated is always a big gamble - They sell well in my area so I usually buy all of the $1,000 and under Cruze's that I find for sale and make a decent profit off most of them... Good flip!
My daughter has a '12 Cruze and the mechanic she bought from fixes up the Cruzes, has some for parts vehicles and believes these are good, cheap transportation vehicles. He also said to maintain them properly and they'll last.
it's funny 10 seconds into the video I was like it was probably overheating mine had that same issue I replaced the water pump already it ran good for a month and overheated again after that it was repair after repair it would run good for a couple weeks then it would overheat again a 2015 mind you
i bought mine for 1000€ . white, 1.8 with LPG mod, in same packet. and now I can't get my hands on one of those chrome covers for fog lights, because mine is missing them.
@@Never_Enough_Travel yes, ebay was my first choice, and chrome covers were available, but in US only, and shipping to europe would cost me more than covers themselves. So I need to find something "locally" but as I drive it daily and meet other Cruzes I realise how rare is my cruze with this packet really is. Also, did you know, Cruze was developed as Lacetti Premiere by GM Daewoo and Opel and just rebadged as Chevrolet for europe and us? :)
Another solid video, Sir. Just straight to the point with everything! We specifically produce LEDs for auto. Can we invite you as a collaborator to do a review? If so,How can we connect with you?

I love my Cruze. Do yourself a favor and buy a new valve cover when you do the gasket, the integrated PCV valve is a known failure point.

The repair cost was about $300 dollars in parts. The vehicle is valued around $2500.
