You missed a big aspect of the faction. Once you reach sleepless city level 3, you can research an inertialess drive. It takes 10 minutes and a lot of RUs but once it's done, all your frigates and capital ships will get an insane speed boost.
Interesting concept, probably better for a companion for team multiplayer. Also have you considered a ship showcase for Homeworld cataclysm? I'd love to see mods showing not only the canon ships from the games but custom ships such as unique Beast ships like a cruise missile destroyer using the corrupted models you encounter in game as the beast didnt have many special ships.
I thought the “Ambassador Ship” was actually a Bentusi escape pod. It makes sense after all; the Taidan being a faction of countless war crimes as they obliterate a helpless escape pod as it squirms out of a crippled and burning Bentusi trade station.
Dmmthe destroyers are the most op, they have amazing anti fighter weaponry too if you tell them to attack solely fighters and they are in range with their backs facing the oncoming fighters
They’re probably close to human just like everyone else in homeworld, genetically at least. Who knows what they actually look like, though; they’re all fused to their ships like Karan S’jet, the Taiidan emperor, and Makaan- and those guys all look fairly distinct
