I thought there was actually a missile in Sabine's jetpack. The small cone at the center on the top is the head of it. It doesn't have the range of like others that Mandalorians use, but it still packs a punch when it detonates. There was a point in the series where I think either she fired it or someone else with the same kind of jetpack fired one. I don't recall which episode it was, but I'm pretty sure it was either season 3 and/or 4.

Probably not going to happen this season, but I would love to see Sabine and Ahsoka interact with the Armourer. Maybe Sabine's armour needs repairs she can't do, and Ahsoka basically says "I know a guy". Lots of cool stuff with Sabine visiting Mandalore, Bo-Katan, ect... but Ahsoka and the Armourer could make for some great scenes. Both are quite mystically attuned.
Anyways... They learn the Darksaber was destroyed, and Huyang makes some comment about how that is a pity because it was such an interesting and unique design (maybe something about how it was actually designed to be superior at defense). Maybe it requires some pure beskar to make.
The Armourer customizes Sabine's armour to be more fitting for her hybrid fighting style, and Huyang, and Ahsoka make Grogu a little white version of the Darksaber using one of crystals from Ahsoka's lightsabers.

It's belived that one of the reasons Jango Fett was chosen as the clone template WAS that he was mandalorian, he had killed jedi before, and since one of the final steps of was to take out the jedi, this was an important trait to have.
    Sabine isn't a jedi, she's mandalorian.

A mandalorian without their armor, is no mandalorian at all.

We're more than just a people or an army, aruetii. We're a culture. We're an idea. And you can't kill ideas-but we certainly can kill you." -Mandalore the Destroyer
Mandalorians are more than their armor. More than their bloodlines. Somewhere along the way through the generations those beliefs got lost in translation. Sabine is more akin to the older Mandalorians because of her willingness to be flexible in her beliefs. Whatever path she is walking will be the toughest challenge she will ever face, but she's willing to continue... Hopefully

I think Sabine will eventually learn how to wield the Force properly and become decently skilled. Her issue seems to be her Mandalorian mindset and all the strife in her life coupled with the fact that she's one of the oldest people to ever begin Force training so she's got a lot keeping her from just going with the flow and feeling it out. When she gets into a corner though we're gonna see her Force Push Shin down a hallway or something.

I'm hoping Sabine Wren mandalorian past & tools might be incorporated into her fight against the dark jedi. Imagine what a danger a slightly force sensitive mandalorian could be against any force sensitive who is too force dependent can be. They're not a hard counter to the Jedi or Sith but they're a great soft counter albeit she may be better off with a vibro blade or some kind of blade made from light saber resistant material, it doesn't have to be all mandalorian iron. A kind of "back to basics" approach to dealing with force users.

Sabine also needed to be able to move through crowds without standing out. Anyways that's what Sabine hasn't learned, and frankly Ahsoka (and Huyang) need to invent/rediscover. In Ahsoka, a Mandalorian with almost no force sensitivity shelves her Mandalorian training to follow the way of the Jedi, all while tracking down a lost friend and an imperial remnant.
And can we just appreciate how Ahsoka knows Luke is trying to rebuild the jedi order, yet she is traveling with Huyang, possibly the best resource in rebuilding the Jedi order?

It's weird how we don't think about that simply because it's been ages since we've watched Rebels. Sabine is a seasoned fighter and has a sizeable arsenal to her name, yet is shown as nothing more than an inexperienced padawan to Ahsoka. Sabine could've easily defended herself against Hati had she actually came down wearing her armor and gadgets specifically designed to take down Force wielders, yet she just appeared in front of Hati like a wannabe Jedi. When her whole religion revolves around killing Jedi.
Unlike other people in the comments, I genuienly don't want to see Sabine wielding the Force. While a method to increase someone's midichlorian count sounds plausible, it would just be a way for Disney to make everyone overpowered. I know it would be really idiotic to end up with her actually utilizing her mandalorian armament when that's all she did during Rebels, but I feel like it's the only way to make her justice. She is not a Jedi. She doesn't have to be.

The series' problem with Sabine is multifold. First, they shouldn't have started her as someone who is practically useless. They should have brought new viewers up to speed quickly that Sabine really is a badass in her own Mandalorian right and had her continue under Ahsoka with a lightsaber what she'd already begun under Kanan Jarrus with the Darksaber. At this point, they're going to have to make her a "sudden" lightsaber badass within a couple of episodes, when they should have shown that she was already a badass. They should have already showed that her religion was fighting Jedi. Her loss to Shin should have been a matter of being overwhelmed by numbers, not a one-on-one fight.

I feel like they really screwed up on showing "normies" who Sabine is. They should have had her in a bacta tank for the whole of episode 2 and used it as a opportunity for a bunch of flashbacks.
Show her training with Ezra and Canan.
Show her winning the darksaber from Gar Saxon. And giving it to bo katan.
Show her fighting along side Ezra during the battle of lothal.
Show her learning about the purge of mandalore and presumably the slaughter of her entire family.
And show her training with Ahsoka.
Show us that while her body is healing her mind is also trying to reconcile with all that she has fought for and what it cost her.

Oh, please, how many Jedi have they killed in recent days? Not that much. Barring a few weaker Jedi like Coleman Trebor, most Jedi come out on top when fighting Mandalorians, and even at the height of the Mandalorians' power, they were nearly eradicated by a rogue offshoot of the Jedi order following some masked rebel who broke from the Council. If the Jedi Council jumped into the Mandalorian Wars feet-first, there would be no Mandalorians left. Heck, how many Jedi do they kill in the Republic Commando novels? Not that much, barring Order 66, where the Jedi were taken by surprise and were exhausted.
And pray tell, how many Jedi have the new canon Mandalorians killed? Damn near nobody. Pre Vizsla talks a big game about killing Jedi with the Darksaber, but then he loses to Kenobi, the professional jobber of the Jedi Order, a man who would've lost to Grievous if he didn't break his code and grab hold of a gun.

Unless in there is a Beskar mesh, I don't really get why imperial units didn't just shoot her center mass, whenever she tried to flee the battlefield. Of course you can make the argument of it being less weight. But especially as a Guerilla fighter I'd certainly appreciate the additional security.

Not just jump really high but actually fly around like Mandalorian with a jet pack would? But seriously, Sabine is the perfect apprentice and partner for Ahsoka in this mission/adventure. She's basically multi-classing, her novice-tier "Jedi" training will only compliment her expert-tier Mandalorian training.
Ahsoka isn't a Jedi, and she never earned the Knight title despite being sufficiently skilled and experienced. Perhaps she gained that title from Luke and his New Jedi Order. Else, she's just an un-ordered/un-aligned force sensitive/user, who just happens to fight against "evil".

I don't think Sabine is non-force sensitive. All People have some connection to the force… but it is a spectrum. That much was never in doubt. Sabine was always force sensitive (look at her natural aptitude for technology and skill as a Mandalorian warrior that put her well above her peers). She just wasn’t strong enough in the force where she would be singled out as a candidate for a Jedi (there were 10,000 Jedi knights in a galaxy of TRILLIONS!!!). Padawans were incredibly rare. Sabine was close to that level but not quite there. Then the top most extreme upper echelon of force sensitive individuals were slaughtered by the Sith (or forced into hiding, because the inquisitors were hunting force sensitive children). Naturally and necessarily, you need to look for a lower level candidate to train. Sabine was in that next level of the power spectrum. None of this was any different than how things have always been understood.

  • @granatmof
    @granatmof Год назад

Mandalorians are basically bullies. They try to create the air if noabilnwarrior, but they're bullies who only respond to violence, and their violence is completely about winning, not elegance, not communication, not honor, not defense, but victory. It's what makes them losers. They surrender all values to gain victory if pushed hard enough.
Only Mandalorians think that they're a real rival for Jedi. Jedi think of them as speed bumps with a lot of gimmicks, unless overwhelmed. But jedi fell to battle droids when faging overwhelming fire in Attack of the Clones.
    Mandalorians are nothing like Jews.
Also as depicted in the Clone Wars and the Mandalorian, Mandalorians are actually really bad at warfare. In Mandalorian season 3 specifically they give up on the high ground, funnel into kill zones, and get suppressed by a fixed gun emplacement, when every other Mando literally carries a rocket on their back or wrist. The Mandalorios aren't warriors, they're glorified raiders. In that seen, I would put a platoon of Marines of even well trained US Army infantry against the Mandalorians in that scene and expect the well trained soldiers to defeat them easily. In the Mando scene they should have put up sniper/spotter positions on top of the buildings to coordinate movements, and snipe targets. They should have kept mobile with hit and run with he jet packs, or send flanking groups to so the enemy into discord. However, Warfare in Star Wars is pretty bad because it's written by Hollywood writers. In real life wars, tactics are dreamed up by evil sonofabitch sergeants who figure out how to ruin the enemy's day, and twice when the enemy is sleeping on on holiday.
I say all this as a fan of KOTOR. In KOTOR 1 you can find Mandalorians arguing with I think Echani about who's better and it's the Echani, no doubt. They have ideals beliefs while Mandalorians through the ages are repeated the playthings of Sith Lords.
