Way to snag that award Wes!! You’re killing it!! I got chills hearing that announcement, you’ve entered such a special time of life. Don’t forget to get seen by a doc for every little thing, because when you get out, that turns into money every month for the rest of your life!
Well Holy crap! ONE of the sailing couples I follow on YT is still together...and married! Congrats you two! And Congrats on the adulting! The Coast Guard is a great way to serve and make a living. I will now go back and watch all your videos again...
congratulations Guys.....you are making all the right decisions, and that, takes courage and maturity! Glad you are a Coasty....we need good Men in that organization. Hope never have to meet you because I am in trouble out there, but I am glad to know, that there are Sailors and Mariners, whom understand our passion for the Sea and sailing on it. Keep Whisper nice and Bristol shape, and your wonderful Lady happy. Hopefully we'll see you sometime in the Exumas or some place close to it. Great Vid.....we missed y'all! Keep the good work!
Your content is so engaging (and has always been), with chill music, you feel like a long time friend... So proud of you Wes, you have earned everything Including an awesome 1st/life mate now wife in Kate.
Wicked Salty was at the top of RUclips sailing channels a few years ago, they were even ahead of everyone, even Tula. They should have just stayed in the Caribbean a few years ago , and Island hopped, instead of going back to New England. They were so popular, back then, even bridge tenders recognized them. They would be up to 500k or 1mil subscribers, if they just stayed , and Island hopped.
I know I’ve congratulated you on your marriage before But I wanted to do it again. You’ve landed in a good place. This is where you belong I’m not in the least surprised that the service has recognized you. I was a little surprised that I would be in a Camino this many years later. Falcon will be at the starting line May 17, let me know if you’re in the area this summer. In the meantime Semper Paratus .
Did you get your Cox'n Pin yet??? Nothing sucks em up high n tight then the first time it's your boat, your crew, your first case. Except maybe if ya do it like my first one, a Mayday, SAR Alarm sounding boat fire. The adrenaline spike is enough to give you a heart attack!!!
Fantastic posting, bringing us back up to date with your paths traveled, especially that you got married! I’m betting that Lola is so happy too! I’m sure glad I’ve taken good care of my “Wicked Salty” shirts!
Congrats on getting married! I'm glad Lola was there for it. She must have been thrilled. I'm actually looking to get a Catalina 30 or something similar, to sail on the LI Sound! I hope to see you all out on the water some day... (For now I sail on the LI South Shore bays.)
Congrats on the marriage and good on you for joining the Coasties! USCG Academy next? Ironically I learned how to sail while I was in the Army! Looking forward to more content! Picking up my ASA 103/104 this summer.
Always great video content Wes! Glad to see the Whisper is getting ready to sail again. I still remember meeting you, Kate and Lola at the fan meet and greet here in St Augustine right before you did your last Bahama sailing. Looking forward to seeing your future video content!
First and importantly, congratulations on your marriage. Wonderful! You basic training segment brought back my memories of the US Army and Ft. Dix New Jersey in June1967. I look forward to more videos.
Wow, you were busy the last few years. Thats great news that you two and the little one got married. Can we expect any new additions to the family in the future?
I was wondering what you two were up to. Awesome update. I got to work with Coasties a few times in the Marines. I was really surprised at how far they would go and what they would do. Ran into some in Korea of all places and knew some that served in Japan and the Persian Gulf. Good luck on your military career.
Great to see another video. Been following on Instagram, but there is nothing like one of your yt videos. Thanks for sharing. Hope to see more, whatever you feel like putting it there. It's always good
Wes…. I’m on Long Island. Drop me a line. I’ll take you guys out on the oyster farm in Suffolk. I might have a cheap place for you to keep your sailboat if you don’t have on already in Northport..
Hurray for you both!!!!! Yamaha tech and a Coastie? You HAVE been busy! Get that transfer to the Miami area and start making bookoo $$ on the side as a tech. And you know how close Bimini is :)

Thanks for joining the ranks of the United States Armed Forces please try to leave the military better than you found it.

I do have a question. When Jeff and I are sailing and a message comes over the radio why do they talk so fast.
Lil Dicky, save Dat $
How much do you SAVE before you know it's time to go sail again?
