Another fantastic video Mark. If I knew you where going to remove the safity belts, I would have asked you to measure their lenght...😉😁 I haven't fixed my gear problem: been out of the country working.
Thanks! I have other safety belts I can measure if that helps. The only thing I’m unsure of is whether the belt length is the same for LHD and RHD cars. Also, the belt type changed the year the car was released. So, if you know what you’re after, feel free to contact me via Facebook Messenger or the x19.com.au website.
Good job mate Ive been fantasising about buying the X1/9 on carsales for 18 grand and committing the cardinal sin of a K24 Honda swap - the 200 plus hp would be unreal - bolt on conversion kits are available in the usa………
The K24 Honda is a great swap, and if you’re in VIC, you should reach out to John, as he’s done the swap before. Keep in mind that once you modify a car, you’ll need to handle the engineering requirements, which vary by state. I like the idea of this swap-it makes more sense to use a modern engine rather than an old Lancia 2L or an Uno Turbo. However, it will be a significant financial commitment.

I don't know why (nostalgia, probly), but I always love to watch your resto/repair X-19 vids!
Maybe one day you’ll be back behind the wheel of a x1/9 😋
@@x19australia I can wish it! I'm so glad you are doing your bit by saving so many of these wonderful little beauties!
Good job mate
