This is very reminiscent of an experience I had about eleven years ago. I was a security officer at the time and usually arrived early for shift, this day I was of lates and running much earlier than usual. I was located in the country and decided to drive around a liitle to use up some time. I approached a narrow road a little wider than a car with trees on either corner. I continued down until I came to a left-hand bend at which point a large mansion house stood. The grounds were pristine, manicured lawns, cotswold stone gravel path and beautiful wrought iron gates in gloss black paint. The house itself was sky or powder blue, it was three stories high and apeared to be square. I held on to the gate railings as I took in the scene. A car drove past me of which I took no notice, by now the time had passed and I had to report for duty. Recently I decided to Google the house and all to no avail. I remember the trip well and no sign could be found. A close friend also searched and like me found no evidence of the house. So we are both at a loss to explain it.

I thought I was seeing a thief, but when I began walking to the man, I noticed that he had a large cup in his hand and looked just like me... as I was approaching closer, he vanished right in front of me. I was so shocked by the situation that I went to the kitchen, filled a cup of water and went back to investigate in my back yard. After a quick look around and noticing nothing missing or out of place, I turned to return to my house. As I stepped at the threshold of the back sliding glass door, I saw the most couscous sight. I saw a man that looked just like me, approaching me from inside my house. As this earlier version of me came closer, he disappeared into thin air. I then looked down and noticed that the man I had seen was in fact me, as I was holding the large cup of water in the same way as I saw the man holding it. Another time, years later, I was in the same room (the living room) of my home and I saw my oldest son skipping into the home through the back glass sliding door, but he appeared transparent and vanished about half way in the living room. Just then I noticed that same son playing in the backyard and he then skipped into the house exactly the same way I saw him do as before, but this time he was not transparent. The time slip at that time was 21 seconds. I knew the time because I took note of the time on my digital watch. Similar things happened until I changed the back sliding glass door with a newer model.
I experianced what I believe was to be a time slip a few years ago. Came across a horse and carriage on a street, and I went over to pet the horse, and a guy in old style uniform (from about the early 1900s?) came out and gave me a dirty look. I moved on but when I went back, all three elements (horse, man, carriage) were gone.
I read that story years ago about the unexpected appearance of M. A. and have never forgotten it. It must have been fascinating to see into another realm
I've experienced this driving at night in Florida along a road lined with big box stores. A strange physically heavy and emotionally depressive feeling suddenly came over us. We then noticed a wooden shack with a post office sign. A man wearing a straw hat full of holes and really shapeless dungarees was standing on the forecourt staring out. We couldn't believe such an old building was still there surrounded by modern stores so we turned around, on a straight road, to have another look. We drove up and down the road several times and couldn't find it again. A ghost office! Afterward I thought where could you even find clothes that look like that? The dungarees were so unlike anything modern, but they did look just like the ones in some old black and white photographs I found online.

It actually makes more sense to me that the major cause for ghost sightings are timeslips. But the ways in which they happen vary. Another explanation could be that the event that took place in history was so traumatic that it left an imprint on the Earth...can't really specify the science behind it because it's just speculation, but it would cause the event to be recorded and replayed many times thus giving the appearance of a ghost or ghosts. Very interesting story aswell, thanks.

Sounds a lot like what happened to my dad's friend's father, who, while walking in the forest, was passed by some swedish soldiers from the 16th century (if I remember correctly), who asked if he'd seen a certain person or people (some time ago I heard about this incident). I always theorized it could've been ghost trapped in our world, but after watching/hearing about this, I think this explanation sounds better.

I’ve had a time slip, in Bury st Edmunds, more of a skip, my dash cam didn’t record the area near the crematorium coming in and going out of the village it’s located was like time skipped and when I was a child driving through there I always felt weird.
I have he'd this happen twice. Both times I was with someone and both times I didn't go anywhere I just looked through to the other side. The first one it was Roman times and the second I think was preastoric times. And yes I do sound crazy but it happened and I just want to know why me and how did it happen

People in most cases find it strange or frightening because they are ignorant on the circumstances, or because adults told them to feel that way... but I’m sorry for her either way but that’s still interesting
Well, this is a very vague description. I've read other accounts of this that said they saw it AFTER it had been torn down. One does not simply build a total duplicate of a previously demolished mansion, costing hundreds of thousands of dollars, for a weekend reenactment.

These happenings could serve as evidence that time is not linear, that perhaps we cross wires/dimensions briefly. If they slipped through a time fault wouldn't it be possible that the second one you mentioned just be ghosts and in the case of the Mansion wouldn't it be possible to slip through the time fault.
.i wonder about the concept that all our experience is an illusion ?if this were so then this opens up the possibility that other dimensions (maybe even TIME and realities could SLIP ..i think i have learned that sometimes residue of our powerful human emotions can reside in a place not all intend harm .but are just things that left a foot print in time .

Or a rip in the cosmic space-fabric? It is known there ARE "folds" in space-time, remnants of the big bang. Were someone to step into one of these folds, strange phenomenon could occur.

There are some interesting vids on YT about quantum physics (explained for those of us without knowledge of quantum physics) "The Holographic Universe" & a short series, "The World as a Hologram"" by a physics professor. It is clear that on the second trip the women, not sure of their directions, lost their way and took a different road with no "spectral mansion." It is a shame that they did not have a map, they could have pulled it out, looked it over carefully, and then still took the wrong way.
May I venture another 'rational' explanation? Could they just have been on another 'similar' path and just got ''confused'? Not many public footpaths were sign posted back in the 1920's and it would be really easy to confuse one path with another in the same area. The other women could have just stumbled on a 'location' film set. Were either couple following a map?

If they slipped through a time fault wouldn't it be possible that the second one you mentioned just be ghosts and in the case of the Mansion wouldn't it be possible to slip through the time fault.
I once had a weird experience where I thought I'd travelled back in time.

.i wonder about the concept that all our experience is an illusion ?if this were so then this opens up the possibility that other dimensions (maybe even TIME and realities could SLIP ..i think i have learned that sometimes residue of our powerful human emotions can reside in a place not all intend harm .but are just things that left a foot print in time .
artseecraftee it’s not an illusion, but yes, other dimensions are real, as are timeslips, and that’s a different thing, residual hauntings are replays of things that happened due to certain energies left over, intelligent hauntings are spirits that are still there, and only a tiny fraction of human ones intend harm due to being hurt/afraid/ignorant and having remained/being made to be that way

I'm not sure I believe in a supreme being who cares about me as an individual, but I am certain time slips do occur. That palace looked like heaven itself (not that I've been there).

if i could go back in time id like to go to a medeival time as i feel sword fighting is really fun and takes alot of skill... where as guns dnt get me wrong are amazing but u dnt rly need skill to use half of them u can just pray and spray no mater what age u can shoot it but a real sword fight u have to watch ur opponent act fast and id like to learn the old ways of sword training and real archery none of that target stuff nowadays

There are some interesting vids on YT about quantum physics (explained for those of us without knowledge of quantum physics) "The Holographic Universe" & a short series, "The World as a Hologram"" by a physics professor. The key word to take note of in this presentation is "women." It is clear that on the second trip the women, not sure of their directions, lost their way and took a different road with no "spectral mansion." It is a shame that they did not have a map, they could have pulled it out, looked it over carefully, and then still took the wrong way.

May I venture another 'rational' explanation? Could they just have been on another 'similar' path and just got ''confused'? Not many public footpaths were sign posted back in the 1920's and it would be really easy to confuse one path with another in the same area. The other women could have just stumbled on a 'location' film set. Were either couple following a map?
In the Rougham case, which I researched recently, the witnesses stated very specifically that they were only 100 yards from Bradfield St George Church when they saw the house, so we can be precise about their location. The Versailles case is more complex as the witnesses said that the paths they followed did not match the contemporary maps, but some features, such as a small ravine that they crossed over via a footbridge, were still identifiable. They found signs of struts that might have formed part of the bridge structure.
Lucy Turner also, people knew their way around in nature more than the average person nowadays... and can tell the difference... and filming at all was a fairly rare occurrence... especially secretly...
