Please keep in mind that 236H (Long beam-like projectile) is no longer +2 but is actually -2. So when you use it for pressure and they block it the opponents' moves will come out 2 frames faster than yours
As a "barely" intermediate Narmaya player, this guide helped me refresh some of my basics on her, while still learning stuff that I can apply in pressure and neutral which I didn't quite knew prior. Such as your preffered way of baiting Raging Strikes, which never crossed my mind into doing. Also the k.214U after the ex moonflip on block is also an option that I can represent which never occured for me to try doing, since usually I try to jab or throw after the moonflip is blocked, which more often than not lets to me being blown up into next Sunday. This guide I will always keep in my pocket when I have any queries about her, while also getting in contact with you via any of your available social media accounts to ask for anything more particular that I either did not understood at first or that wasn't convered in the guide, since personally I can be a bit slow on the uptake at times, but so far this is extremely informative. Very good guide to watch if you wanna learn Narmaya. Great Job, Hazel!
Getting back into granblue after a while and still so so grateful for this guide, Im really sad she lost her h setsuna pressure but the general offense guides and options in this are as great as ever. Last I saw on tiwtter I think you were kinda away from the game but I hope youre doin well and thank you again for all the work you put into this guide on one of my favorite fg characters of all time
Hello! Very bad fighting game player here, just wanted to thank you for the wonderful guide. I really, really struggle with learning new characters in games that don't have massive communities like SF, Tekken, GG, ect. because I am not very good yet in general, but also I get so, so overwhelmed by searching through Discord servers for combos, learning hit confirm routes, all that stuff. I like to think my default neutral skill is pretty good but when stuff is added on top of that, I get so overwhelmed and lost. I try to learn everything at once and I crash out. I've been trying to seriously learn Granblue and floating from character to character (mostly Djeeta and Beatrix) but my heart wanted me to be the cool samurai lady. I took one look at the stances and stuff and I figured "Oh, this is gonna have a LOT of tech I need to remember, huh" and kind of gave up, went back to Djeeta. But recently after not having as much fun on those other characters I decided to seriously give it a shot. And this video is helping a ton! Not a success story yet, I just started training tonight, but I plan on playing everyday for a month straight so see how i fair at the end of it, using this guide as a launching off point. It's really helping soothe my brain and digest the first step of the learning process. You're a gem!!
Wanted to throw this out here especially since you are a much stronger player than I am so you can probably tell me why I shouldn't be using this. When going for RSRC combos I've been aiming to be in Genji stance. RSRC 5H(1) 236U 66L 5LLL 214M 236M works and seems to have a load of corner carry. An example of the carry is from round start positions if you set yourself up in P2 P1 placement you can start with 5XXX into this combo and get the opponent into the P1 side corner. It even pushes far enough that you could end the combo with 214H 236H 5LL 623L. Damage wise this route with the DP ender does 1 less damage than 5XXX SSBA. Sorry this got so wordy I'd been sitting on this route for like a week now but really didn't know where to share or talk about it. Thanks a ton for this video hopefully I can incorporate some of this and improve my own Narmaya gameplay ^.^
That route works!! The benefit of the RS RC 5H(2)H 236H 5U 236U is that it gives the same corner carry, but deals more damage and refunds 25 of the meter used in the Kagura 236U, costing you only 50 meter and 1 BP versus the 75 Meter and 1 BP your combo uses! It also hard knockdowns letting you run up to safejab, or safejump. Hope this helps!!
@WitchHazelHazel this is exactly the kind of info I was hoping to get from sharing it with you. Thanks for the reply, I'll definetely have to start working on the Kagura route for those extra bonuses it gives ^.^
Using genji 236U on a counterhit anti air could lead to some higher damage with refunded meter, though I haven't played enough to test how consistently it leaves you at 66L distance
@@YvelXY I find typically it’s pretty rare that you are in range for much after outside far.h 214l 236l, which isn’t much more damage then the usual anti air combos
Really cool guide! My only question is what to do agaisnt Sieg... I've been trying to learn Narmaya and I have zero idea on what to do against him. There's one in my play group who is relatively good at him and it feels really, really difficult to get in without getting smashed.
Great guide! Stealing some of the stuff here for my own gameplan. For the corner cashout route, I've found that (stuff) > 236H ~ U, c.M > 236H ~ U, TK j.214H, c.H > RS, c.H > 236236H/U gives a bit more (10-50) damage depending on starter, rather than the route that uses [G] c.M > RS > c.H > (rest of combo). It's not a huge damage increase, but I was wondering if you've found it to be the opposite, or if there's some other reason to do that route since I see different Narmaya players doing one of these two routes in the corner.
Personally, I tend to do the route in the video for SBA because it gives my g.236H time to come off CD! More a habit then anything, but I find it worth the relatively miniscule lower damage for that reason 😊 Thats a good find though!!
@@chase8804 You can do it without the CH! Its just a timing thing, if its giving you trouble though dont be afraid to start off by using 214H instead of 214L
Hey Hazel! I love your content as usual! ❤ I've heard about GBVSR quite a bit and I was curious if the community in NA is diverse just like SF6 or GGST? If so where could I find other queer folks and women playing that game?
It definitely is!! I find most of the anime FG community is very welcoming and diverse, Im not sure about strictly queer discords or anything but I would recommend Dove's discord "training mode network"!! Ill grab a link to his twitter x.com/TrainingModeNet
i feel like a novice wizard thats just been granted an elder sacred scroll full of spells, thank you for this amazing guide
As someone who's new in fighting games and for some reason want to use a character that have 2star in the ease of use this helps a lot
Just finished watching this. Loved the guide. Still new to the game and such but I will be refrencing this guide to come back to. Hope all is well!!!
