Simon just gives a natural and a beauty aura around him. He comes off as natural without being cringe or force acting. It's no wonder in the modeling industry they love him bc he's professional
Are you kidding? That's like the best model-couple dynamic you could ever see. They're not supposed to act like googly-eyed teenagers, it's a sophisticated look. Plus it's a fashion ad, not a movie. And given the theme is movie star / rock star, the mood is even more not what you would expect to be typical couple chemistry
That's ok :) I totally feel your pain...:( I can't wait until it's done! Antioxidants are a must for skin! I would say the best sources are berries and tea -- preferably green tea, white tea, and the occasional black tea. Limit the coffee to one cup a day, and it too has antioxidant benefits. But definitely go for the berries, I'd say they're your best food source. And dark green vegetables will perk up the skin (better circulation).
Sorry, lots to say about skin haha. As for treatment options: start by getting a good scrub and buffer pad and exfoliate your skin once a week. Once you get into a new skin care regimen, it can take up to 6 months for you skin to get used to it, so you won't see results right away! Invest some money in microdermabrasion and/or a chemical peel as well. If you've got bad skin problems (scars, fine lines, etc.), maybe look into laser skin resurfacing. Hope that helps!
Oh for a photo campaign, you're totally right. They can retouch that for nothing. It really depends how established you are in the business. But it is a beauty and youth-obsessed industry, so even with a unique face like that (whom I have nothing against, btw, I love Karmen :P), they'll sometimes just decide it's not worth the money. As for Simon, yes yes yes
(continued...) Orange vegetables are a must too for wrinkle prevention (vitamin A / beta carotene: carrots, sweet potatoes, orange peppers, etc.). And the biggie, BY FAR, include this every day in your diet along with berries and tea: TOMATOES! Best internal sunscreen you could think of. Throw some cherry tomatoes in your salad, cooked tomatoes are even better -- marinara sauce is my personal favourite :) Hope that helps! You have the right thinking -- diet is VERY important!
really? how do you know that? she still looks perfectly gorgeous to me actually she's in her prime! with that face and that figure her skin doesn't matter and as she's a model there is always makeup to cover up if her skin is really degrading like you say, Karmen is one of the best models today
Of course she's still beautiful! And yeah she's in her prime. But one of my closest friends works on skin for a living, and even she noticed it (and she's seen a lot of smokers face in her lifetime). I'm not saying Karmen isn't great, because she is. And I love her interview personality too. But it's undeniable that her career is going to be cut short very soon. Not to mention her lifespan! Fashion personnel are only concerned with the here and now though; once her skin is ruined, they move on
Ps. the funniest part is it was carey whatevernumbers who started this again...that chick is crazy! And I must add -- I love this ad campaign, regardless of skin :P It just makes me sad so many models smoke, because they're just BLESSED with the best genes, and they're ruining it :(
amazing indeed! but i hope i see new faces for micheal kors. new man and woman for mk. id like to see mathias lauridsen or clement chabernaud cause during the shows i always notice them standout and look very micheal kors man to me. and jourdan dunn. that would be great. did mk use a black/asian or different ethnicity before for adv?
ps. I still don't get your point.....why would a designer spend tons on a computer model when they can just hire a new one? That's why I said there's a reason Kate Moss isn't walking the runways and on major ad campaigns anymore.
ok that was a bit melodramatic but i put nothing past the 'Make Karlie Kloss A Supermodel Club' just saw the DailyMail article comparing her and Joan with 90's supermodels :P and all the comments are negative :)
No I know, neither do I. It's just how the industry works though -- they want you perfect now, and once you start to slip at all, they drop you. It's just how it is. Especially as aging goes. Because it costs so much less to just drop someone and hire a newer younger model than to spend extra on trying to fix their physical flaws. But yes, yes he does :P haha. To die for.
Hmmm as for skin. It depends on a few things: your age, your lifestyle, and genes (which unfortunately, we can't change those). First and foremost -- STAY OUT OF THE SUN. Tanning is skin suicide. Wear a broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen every day, even when it's cloudy, even in the winter. Cleanse, tone, and moisturise day and night too. Keep a clean, healthy diet -- avoid anything processed, drink a lot of water, avoid too much caffeine. Get proper sleep (at least8 hours a night).
To add to that -- Simon also expressed he isn't going to model forever, so soon enough he could just decide to retire, and boohoo your dream MK couple is gone. That's how fashion works. Is Kate Moss still the star of all the campaigns she used to be? No. And what do you think happened Carmen and Noah for MK? They didn't last for ever. You have such unrealistic ideals about fashion it's ridiculous.
Oh great, I didn't see if was you again. Btw I saw you comment about Simon; so tell me, does your prejudice about North American models only extend to females? And even if she is in her prime, smoking will never extend their career. There are many other ways to get thin that don't play havoc on your skin. Kate Moss ring a bell? There's only so much makeup can do sweetie, you're really naive. It can't cover premature wrinkles, especially not on film (i.e. no more runway, no more ad campaigns).
gorgeous!! Karmen is so beautiful, she is a star

The movie star looks like Leighton Meister. You should use her instead, and she can sing too!
