Amen, amen 💕 Many years ago, I was living in sin after a divorce, raising two daughters. I had met someone that I was sure was going to ask me to marry him. Then one day, after two beautiful years together (or so I thought), he suddenly broke up with me because he had found someone else. My heart was crushed. I couldn't eat, I couldn't drink anything, I couldn't sleep, I cried 24 hrs a day. I could barely work because I was fighting back tears all the time. My boss set me up with a counselor, and I saw a doctor who put me on antidepressants. And for three months, I struggled to eat and drink and sleep and take care of my children and function at work. I would cry myself to sleep at night and I would wake up out of my dreams, crying, every single day and night. People were telling me, "You just need to move on." Or, "You'll find someone else." Or they were trying to set me up with other guys to date. I felt like no one understood my pain. There was a physical pain in my chest because my heart was utterly broken. And then one morning, I woke up out of yet another dream, crying, and I prayed, "Father, if you would just take this physical pain out of my heart...!" And before the words were even out of my mouth, the pain in my chest was gone, and in my mind, I saw Jesus, bloody and beaten, hanging on the cross to my left, and I suddenly was aware that I was in the place of the thief on Jesus' right; and Jesus looked over at me and said, "I understand (your pain), because My heart was broken for you." And from that moment, I knew I would survive this ordeal. It put my own pain and suffering in perspective because what He suffered was so much more than what I was suffering, and He was SINLESS! My pain and suffering was my own fault, caused by my own sin! Many years later, I could see so clearly, that God allowed that entire experience to show me how much He loves me, to save me from someone who would have moved me even further away from my faith, and to show me how terrible sin is, how much grief we bear because we choose not to keep His commandments, and make poor choices because we don't know Him and His desire for us. What broke my heart, actually put me on a course back to Him. I DO praise His Holy name for breaking my heart! 🥰🙏🏻💕

Amen. I'm so thankful to the sacrifice of Christ, that He came to redeem us and put an end to the earthly sacrificial systems, I don't think I was going to be able to slay an animal to offer to any earthly priest, I have never slayed anything, I'm so thankful to Christ who died for us.

So what about the person who struggles with tobaco product, but who know's God's love fir them, with tears and heartbroken spirit, and shame. But who cherrishes the hope and peace of Christ. Who holds on with a grip to Jesus, who pray's dont let me Go!!! NEVER ever take yr Holy Spirit from me. What do we say to them. No condemnation please.
Truth is we all struggle with certain temptations, habits, and weaknesses that we want to give up but are unable to. But when we surrender and ask God, He can change us to hate the things we love and love the things we hate. Gospel promises not only pardon for our past sins but it also promises power for our present lives. Therefore, those who truly love God will with the power of God overcome every unholy habit or tendency.
