    When I saw it go into the right car I was confused after seeing so many b-swaps.
    First I thought the video said crx… then I saw the headlights and thought it was a 7th gen civic.😅
    Thank you for the video.

      Felipe Fuentealba thank you! I really appreciate that. If you get stuck on doing anything make sure to watch my other 2 videos of the rebuild that is in more detail. I made the video as a good reference for me and anyone else. So it’s nice to hear that the video is getting the job done. Also we have already put 3000 miles on the engine since the rebuild and no issues so far

      @@MooreProjects bro im looking at rebuilding my 2001 honda crv instead of getting a imported one for 800 with 50k miles on it.

    • @MooreProjects
      @MooreProjects  3 года назад +1

      Tim Lestage honestly if time was an issue I would go that route of the imported low mileage engine, if not then I would do like I did and do an engine rebuild. Only if you have time to do it right. Also, if I were to do it again I would probably use rock auto rebuild kit, it was only like $25 more than the eBay rebuild. Not had any problems out of the eBay stuff just saying if I were to do it again, that’s what I would do

    • @Ovation36
      @Ovation36 3 года назад

      @@MooreProjects i definitely have the time this winter! I would feel better rebuilding it myself rather than buying a low mileage engine. I mean if i am going to go through all the work pulling it i damn well better rebuild it to have a engine with no miles plus gain priceless experience along the way! Thank you for the advice i will look into rock Auto kits.

    I have a 1997 Honda CR-V it’s my first car and I’m trying to keep it forever it has around 213,000 miles on it and was wondering how much this would cost to have someone do this for me please reply thank you

    • @MooreProjects
      @MooreProjects  2 года назад +1

      Not sure how much someone would charge but I would figure somewhere around $2500-3000 for a rebuild. It only cost me about $750 in parts and machine work

    Just curious on average how long did the whole process take? And what did it cost to get everything machined? I am curious if it’s worth doing the rebuild vs buying a crate motor off eBay for my 2010 CRV I am pretty sure the piston rings are toast as it’s consuming a lot of oil.

    • @MooreProjects
      @MooreProjects  6 месяцев назад

      I worked on it on and off for about 4 months. It was at my mom’s house. Cost around $800 in machine work and parts. Definitely worth it tho. It’s a learning experience. And something to be proud of when it’s done

    • @MooreProjects
      @MooreProjects  6 месяцев назад

      If you buy a JDM motor to swap in that has low mileage is another option. Cost about the same but you still need to buy some extra maintenance items like any rubber pieces that have gotten brittle will probably leak. Belts would still need to be changed out too. But would be a lot quicker of a swap process

    • @Qman509
      @Qman509 6 месяцев назад

      I was able to find a US engine with around 80k miles on it for around $2500 on eBay. However problem is these k24Z6 engines already have a recall on the piston rings so I may still be looking at a rebuild either way.

    Been looking at buying a first gen CRV. Most are 200k+ miles. This gave me some insight on the rebuild. Really pretty straight forward. How long did this whole process take labor wise? I see you're in Greenville. I'm over by Athens,GA. Any good CRVs out there? lol

    • @MooreProjects
      @MooreProjects  2 года назад

      There are a few CRVs for sale this way. The first gen’s are the best in my opinion as far as form and function. It took me on and off about 4 months to do the rebuild while videoing. I might if worked on it once a week and pieced it together. It would take a solid weekend to put one together if the machine work was already done
